he taught himself, experimented, and developed his own style which is really inspiring to me. and he's doing what he loves everyday. i know absolutely nothing about drums (i always thought it looked easy lmao. i sat behind a drum set like 1 time and had no idea what to do it was kinda like tyler in that vine. i'm a good rapper though)
holyfunkybigfatrat trust me, it is not easy at first. The footwork is grueling and moving your hands is hard.

Saying he plays the wrong kind of music is like saying Ringo or David Weckl played the wrong kind of music. What do you think is the right kind of music? He has a lot of good techniques and lot of drummers have gotten more popular with less.
BigHoar13 Josh Dunn is where he is because Twenty One Pilots' music is massively popular, not necessarily because he's a virtuoso on the drums.

pretty new to drums, I've had my drumkit for a week now and am loving it more every day, but I had NO IDEA the drumsticks actually make a difference. Gonna have to look into that

Josh talking about his drums is my new favourite thing. Tyler's usually the one talking about the music and the instruments he plays and videos with only josh are pretty rare

The explaining with how u only think there is one kind of stick is so true, like I got yarn for marimbas, a larger need one for louder sounds, smaller tip for a lighter sound, the flimsy sticks for snare drum or whatever, I don’t play it but it has a soft end, I heard most of my friend’s break what ever brand, so yeah.

Josh dun: fans love him, drummers hate him. Why though? I'm a drummer. I think the dude's a beast. One of my favorites, really. And that's coming from someone who worships Stewart Copeland like a god, so take that for what you will.

I brought theses sticks almost a year ago, and they are great! Feel great, the sound they create is great sound, and the extra length is useful, although the Paint comes off on your hand, so after two hours of using joshes signature is worn off

I got these sticks and I loved them, very quickly got used to the paint smell lol. Sadly pretty much all of the markings rubbed off so it's just a red stick now but I love them all the same. Ill have to get another pair and just have them as a display set.
