I’m a huge fan of the old drummer’s solo work (he’s called Vesperteen and his music is amazing), and he sings while also doing the drums, so it makes sense that they were using his old vocals. Hey i know why josh doesn't sing anymore... when he was in his old band (house of heroes) he was on stage playing the drums and it was his turn to sing his bit but as he was playing his microphone got muted for some reason and people started yelling at him, he apologized to the crowd and from then on he has had anxiety about singing :( poor jishwa

Even the drum parts are taken from the original cuz the drums are going kinda out of tempo because of that, and drums don't sound like that live, I mean you can barely hear the crash...

But there is ONE rare clips I found (which isn't hard to locate) -- it's on CZcams, it's called "Josh Dun singing and Tyler Joseph playing the drums in Anathema (2011)". They do the alternating vocal parts, and you can hear (just barely, under all the noise) Josh having to genuinely sing to the best of his abilities, solo and without harmonized accompaniment. And you can tell he's terrified because his voice is quivering. But he pulled it off very well I think.
