Thank you Nathan once again for the shutout! And welcome to all the people that kindly subscribed to my channel :) you are the best!
There are of course many, and many more I could've recommended. I made a series on Twitter promoting around 20 youtube channels. But in this video, I started with the ones I know personally and whose content I've watched in the past.
Please share your recommendations in the comments!
@GDQuest How can i change the color of the letter of the script. An example is this script: czcams.com/video/7axJJYont6Y/video.html. But i want another color of the letter of the script. Please help
Thanks for this! Getting to know those channels helps a lot.
Some other great channels:
- Miziziziz
- Garbaj
- Fornclake
So true
Some more that are pretty good:
- CodeWithTom
- Artindi
- TheConceptBoy (Devlog Style)
And for spanish people:
- EscuelaDeVideojuegos
- Irwin Rodriguez
- Deybis Melendez
- Cesar Leon
- Adderly Cespedes (Opensource software)
@@avgchoobafan gracias crack
Miziziziz is also very funny, and makes the shortest tutorials I've ever seen.
@@daniel-zh9nj6yn6y I love hos philosophy, that a tutorial must be shorter than 10min
Game development centre and heartbeast have been the most helpful to me switching to godot.
I'm putting it here because I can't find comments mentioning the guy but "Godot Tutorials" does a pretty damn good job (to my taste at least) with GDscript tutorials.
If his style can feel a bit dry, the quality is just mind-blowing.
*Number 1: GDQuest*
AngegaStudios has one of the best edited and explained tutorials and deserves much more attention from the community.
The bad thing is that I think he's no longer making videos
@@ratatacks Yeah. Let's hope he comes back.
Thank you so much for all you do for the community. I pledged on kickstarter for the whole package deal, and I can't wait to get started!! Cheers, and good luck!
You missed the greatest channel BornCG.
Colin (BornCG) will be in another video!
He teaches the best... even better than GDQuest
@@anindyaroythetechmaster lol
@@Gdquest While BornCGs videos are polished he doesn't seem to know Godot much, he has some really weird laborious decisions about scene setups and down right terrible coding practices. I wouldn't recommend his channel until he improves a lot.
@@adventurousdrake4071 I agree after seeing his 3d ball dodging game tutorials, yet the way he teaches is amazing
Thank you as always GDquest. I almost watch them all.
They are great! Thank you for sharing and I cannot wait for Godot 2D secrets!!!
Seeing how you presented an Brazilian developer (Pigdev) on this list is so beautiful.
Finally a good Brazilian developer presentation by other countries who is not the "Come to Brazil" meme.
Ivan Skodje has some excellent Godot content.
Great resources and a few I had not seen! Hoping to be in the next list
good, all the information I need in 36 seconds!
Liked, subscribed, outta here!
You should also activate the notifications.
Wow, that video isn't what I was looking for, but it showed where I could find it, and more! Thank you very much, that really helped me out :).
Thanks for sharing these channels. I'm new to Godot and am not sure which channels to check out. This is very helpful, thanks.
Cool! I made the list :) thanks Nathan!
Gamefromscratch is another great channel for game dev tools that can be used in conjunction with godot
Gonna be covered in another video!
Yes it’s also a great channel
Love the list, I knew some but not the others! Another channel worth checking out, not for tutorials but good if you like vlogs, is DevDuck.
He's making a really cool game which started with Unity but was recently ported to Godot since he tried it and loved it!
It's nice to see what games people are actually making aside from standalone tutorials :)
Yooo, I’m subscribed to most of those already. By this point you think I would actually know what I was doing.
I am one of those and I certainly don't know what I am doing.
@@GameEndeavor 😲
@Fortue 👋
thank you so much for sharing this list.
its lovelly to see how godot channels supports each other! :)
thanks for the video.
I'd like to add Rungeon to the recommendations. His style is still a little rough around the edges, but I think with just a little more experience his channel will be just as good as the ones mentioned in this video. Plus, of all the two Godot level editor tutorials I've found on CZcams, his is the better example. czcams.com/channels/EtKeMUvtI-2eXVY8hg7nHw.html
And, as others have pointed out, Miziziziz, Garbaj, and Fornclake are pretty good too.
Wow thank you, this has really made my day.
I agree fully still very rough right now, my cam and mic are really low quality, I'm working on that. I'm gonna also improve editing and thumbnails. Thank you so much :)
Know all of them. Great channels!
"Game development centre" is the best... Again "THE BEST GODOT TUTORIAL CHANNEL OUT THERE".....
Always the supporter Cute Senpai, thx :)
It's funny that this just came out because I just burned through CodeNMore's current godot playlist today lol
Edit;
I went though the basic playlist, not the space one. Not yet at least
check him out too @CodeNMore
thank you!
Parker Anderson has some great content. He did a whole series on a wave shooter style game that's definitely worth checking out.
Can you please link to the channel page since there are so many Parker Andersons here. Thanks.
It looks like he changed his channel name, it's called PlugWorld now
That wave shooter series is so underrated, I learned a ton from it.
@@aleks3449 I agree, he taught it in a way that was so easy to expand on.
Me how is already subscribed to most of these channels
Sweating nervously
BORN CG is my favourite
I'll recommend for Martin Donald for his cool godot tutorial
Subbing to all of them, thanks :D
Savvy Barbarian has awesome videos on exporting models with armatures and shape keys to Godot, as well as a good one on tween. They are long, but go into more necessary detail than 99% of other tutorials and shows possible mistakes and problems along the way. He is also pretty funny.
Try
"Godot Tutorials"
"Arkeve"
They're great places as well.
Needless to say about "GDQuest", it's like a second home for me 💕
There is one you forgot. It is GDQuest.😀👍
Also Solo CodeNet has many videos.
alvin roe ( youtuber )
also do some of godot tutorial but more into unity
Another great channel is fornclake.
another one: Garbaj and Mizizizziizizizizizi
Hola Amigo :D
Someday my name will be there
And mine for portuguese speakers
Honorable mention: Godot Tutorials (czcams.com/channels/nr9ojBEQGgwbcKsZC-2rIg.html)
i thing my next project i by 2D and i thing to use gadot because unity dont have real 2D suprot i hop wean i need help for my next project to have give my this help
Do any of them write scripts with c++ PLZ I NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN TO TEACH ME 🙏
I also recommend Johnny Rouddro: czcams.com/users/JohnnyRouddro
he is doing a 3D 3rd person shooter tutorial that is amazing
And for the germans it is LetsGameDev
I like Martin Senges more.
@@ronaldpikksaar2202 but he dont make german videos
@@HeilerKGD isn't he german himself though? Therefore he makes german videos. ;) No?
@@ronaldpikksaar2202 i only zapped through and dont saw german vids
not many good 3d channels and its the main reason i use godot :( I mainly use gms2 for 2d
I'd also add "Code with Tom" (czcams.com/channels/dU9e4eNsJif0rBrBiYRb5g.html ), he has a really good Godot beginner series and FPS tutorials!
Definitely add FinePointCGI to this list - his videos are great and get into interesting related side topics as well, such as rendering pixel art from Blender. czcams.com/users/FinePointCGI
Just learnt the basics networking and multiplayer from gamefromscratch, he's a nice channel to watch but he's not only focus on godot but any and every software you can think of
res
I have observed that Many games that are made from godot doesn't look good. Can anyone tell me if the problem lies in godot or developer? (No offence, sorry if someone got offended)
It's mostly about the art assets, and mostly the lack of budget for art. And you've probably not seen the good ones, Primal Light has slick pixel art. Made in Godot. The Starfox-like game Ex Zodiac, while it looks really old school, has polished animation too.
In 2D you have quite a few games made with Godot that look great. Gravity Ace, Helms of Fury...
There's a game called Resolutiion which is a Hyper light drifter like game. It is releasing on switch soon.

The developer
Plz don't suggest KidsCanCode. He is a horrible teacher, making things unnecessarily complex.
@Richard Riley If his videos are not aimed for complete beginners then why did he name one of his series as beginners tutorial. I wanted to watch a beginners tutorial, thus started that series, but sometime later I realised that I was wasting my entire time.
He's a great teacher, got a lot of experience in the game industry and teaching for a living. The "unnecessarily complex" things you found might just be good real-world programming practices. And his Godot recipes are so straight to the point, you should check them out, they'll hardly waste your time: kidscancode.org/godot_recipes/
