Thank you SO much for featuring Gaea! Glad you like it! More updates coming soon!
Didnt know of this one. Will check it out for my next game.
@@Volt-Eye gosh I'm gonna frame this comment lmao! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it
thank YOU for your work 😊
Been so excited to try this out. I have a game in mind that requires some open world 2D generated environments. Hope I can figure it out!
Bro gaea is frikin cool , amazing work
Thank you so much for showing off my addon, Perfbullets! It took a lot of work, but I hope the community enjoys it :)
loved your plugin btw. it's pretty well-made and more importantly, performance-efficient. i'll definitely be stealing some ideas for mine.
@@peachery2k2 Thanks for the kind words! It definitely helps with burnout, etc. I wish you luck on your projects :)
Former Dreams hobbyist who quickly ran away from Unity in September after dabbling there this year. I've been making inroads with Godot and now start to tackle the intermediate stuff. Godot's future is so bright and people making amazing add-on's for us to use are fantastic. Can't wait to dive into these and other tools I've recently discovered. And yes, UI is also on the list of things to tackle for me, so keep those videos coming!
Thanks for showing off Cyclops Level Builder! I hope to have an update to it coming out soon.
I've been experimenting with using Qodot and Trenchbroom to do level design, but I feel like Cyclops will be just as effective.
id love to see a video focused on ui!
You got it!
I loved this video!!! I only knew about Godot Jolt, but seeing so many useful tools being developed by the community surely makes me feel a ton of enthusiasm to keep it up with Godot as my main engine, and maybe one day contribute to the community too!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for the next addon jam, it's the perfect time to learn how to make addons 😊
Great video! It is awesome to see more and more addons for Godot. As it is pretty hard to keep track of things myself I really appreciate videos like this.
Oh, and I'd love to see UI specific things!
As a new Godot developer (coming from 7+ years in Unity), I must say your videos have provided so much help at estabilishing a comforting environment here. And because I am porting a whole project over, my time to investigate the addons is limited, so these videos help with filtering out the best ones for the job. It would be even better if you could be making the videos for UI addons! Either way, keep up the good job and thank you!! You're amazing
Wow thank you! Glad to help :)
Thank you very much for taking the time to check those add-ons. UI and networking will be very appreciated.
Thanks for the vid - got a few new cool hints I didn't know! And yes, I'd love to see a UI addon feature!
Noted!
04:08 hmmm I wonder who made this cool add-on
Hey cool you 😎
i can already see someone making an MGR clone with this
plot twist: its me
Yes. Please showcase ui/ux addons.
Will do!
This video is a lot of fun and very useful, thank you! I'm just getting to know Godot from a background in art and marketing. Thanks again! ❤
Great video. I'd love to see more add on suggestions, the UI add ons included. I'm already planning to use some of the ones you listed in the video.
These videos are a blessing ❤
The existing Godot Asset Library leaves much to be desired when it comes to finding useful addons. Keep it up man!
> Godot Asset Library leaves much to be desired
The quality of assets are getting better, but DAMN that UI sucks :)
No way to "add to favourites" or +1/-1, unless I'm missing something.
Ui would be a good video to see. I am curious what add ons there are
Noted!
Not mentioning Godot StateChart by Derkork is a crime.
Jokes aside though, this is a very useful video, thanks for your efforts!
Awesome video! These addons really save a ton of work
Definitely going to be using Gaea, so glad I found this!
Great video! Can't wait for the next add-on jam
please make a video showcasing ui addons/plugins.
This
This was valuable to my project. I'm looking forward to the one focused on UI.
I jumped into godot recently and this video is just a treasure trove of goodies!
This is an amazing bunch of addons, I could see myself using most of these on different projects! And at least a few on my current project..
Glad you like them!
This video is pure GOLD!
Noob starting godot, this is really helpful!
Thanks for addons information!
Yes for the UI!
Thank you, mate! This is very helpful.
Liked and subscribed)
Glad it helped!
Damn that's a nice addons. Hope I'll have time to check them. Many thanks
Amazing video! Thanks!
Thanks for the video. Very useful.
UI add-ons will be awesome!!!
Oh wow, these seem a lot more powerful than I'd thought was possible
Would LOVE an UI video!!
That's great and useful video bro. U got a subscriber. 😀🙌🏻
Awesome, thank you!
Cool! I know about half of these, filled with glee!
Thank you four this video.
I have always wanted a feature like grid builder in unity in Godot seeing as I myself have migrated from it and this tutorial has really helped me out. And I would love a video on ui as unity has spoiled me with its inbuilt ui system
Godot has an inbuilt UI system which is SUPER strong. Just look at Godot itslef, it's made with Godot UI system.
@@mrelipteach I don’t know cause I did not find any good tutorial for godots ui system
I'd love to see a UI themed addons video!
AnimationPlayer Refactor? Man, makes you wonder why this isn't in the game engine itself!
Making it an addon first is a great way to gauge interest and to make a stronger proposal though! I can totally see that being integrated in the future
A very good informative video with (what's very important) a short intro with no begging for a sub or like. Aprreciate that. Here's my like and sub for you. And of course I'd love to have a video on UI!
Yes please show us the addons for making uI easier
phatom camera is a game changer IMO, I am too dumb to develop my own cinemachine
And it feels wrong to reinvent a camera system every time!
PLEASEE do a video on addons for UI!
Does the audio manager let me set loop points and starts to loop X bars of a track without having to load 2 different files that I have to specifically cut before importing?
Weird that netfox isn't mentioned - it's a server/client netcoding with **rollback** (including latency compensation)
With this, clients play as if they have 0 ping.
интересно получилось так, неплохо👍
Спасибо
i needed to do an audio manager for my game, gues i wont need anymore :v thanks
2:14 god damn I thought that it would just be low fps with godot's engine, but after godot physics going absolute nuts in this part, it made it seem almost mandatory to use Box2D 💀💀
More addons videos!
Yes UI addons plz
Pls tell how to use these addons?
I would like to see that
can you pls make a video about how to install a addon that are not in the assetlib
Download the zip and extract the addon in your project under addons/ (create folder if needed). In the zip, you usually exract only what's under the addon folder. docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/plugins/editor/installing_plugins.html
Looks like more as Tofu. I'm hungry
Yes, showcase ui addons.
Wee need a procedural animation addon and a build in instrument like aseprite.
How can I submit my add-on? I'd love to get your feedback or even feature it if possible!
There's no official way but I guess you can share it in my discord server and get feedback there
Who else immediatly thought of MetalGearRising when he showed the MeshSlicer?
Hello. Is there any third party in app purchase fot godot like revenuecat? Thank you so much !
I don't know much about that sorry
yes
phantom camera et box 2d et soundmanager
PLS DO UI ADDONS, I've watched 3 different videos on godot's ui and I still can't get it to work consistently
This video is PACKED with gems
UI ADDONS VIDEO PLS
Some of this should be in core, but not to bloatGodot I think it is fine with the plugin system
concave mesh slicer == metal gear rising 2 on godot engine hahaha
Where the update of Dialogue system to 4.0++ ? :D
Hey u earned a subscription. love ur videos, increadibly helpful.
I would be very interested in the UI Addons video. Maybe this comment encourages you to do it :)
interesting
Man if you could go a bit slower that'd help me a ton...wish there was a way to globally add these to godot and enable them in projects since I'm getting started and a little over halfway through the @clearcode tutorial even if it's a bit outdated bc some ui changes happened between beta and now 😅
yes ui please
More UI stuff
3:45 - I think your are close, but it isn't chesse, but tofu
Ah yes probably!
Cyclops level builder is not working
It doesn't even have a revenue share or license fee model that can retroactively bankrupt your studio years later, how good could Godot be when Unity and Unreal can demand so much of you? lol
how do you install addons?
docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/plugins/editor/installing_plugins.html
@@mrelipteach thanks
12
Addons go God of War 0:00 0:07
Too bad Cyclops don't seems to work in Godot 4.2 (for now at least)
"will run fine ... "
> immediately shows clip of a tiny loaded chunk freezing the game
THERE'S AN ADDON JAM???
We did one yes, and we'll try to do another one asap.
itch.io/jam/godot-addons-jam-1
It's called 12
You're welcome
I think that makes 12
I forgot to right click > Evaluate Selection, sorry 😁
The situation with Godot's physics is one of the pitfalls of Open source development I dislike. You can have more than one group of people out there working on basically the same thing separately in their own little corner for no reason; which almost feels like wasted development and inefficiency. Like the Godot devs deciding to write their own physics for Godot 4.... then they suck...and then now they will work to replace them down the road AGAIN with these community solutions. It's all messy.
But sometimes, there is a reason to this. Especially if folks have different ideas on how a feature should work, which is also why there is so many Linux Distros because people want it to be so personalized to their liking... Altho sometimes folks DO work together, but like anything it will take time to apply the results. Jolt and Box2D are great solutions, but we understand why Godot devs and maybe some contributors are messing around with making their own attempt (either because its taking a while for a needed update in Bullet, or something else in the blogs I forgotten a while ago).
total lie about jolt, not the same nodes as before
So strange that official devs can't get stuff right, but plugin makers can. Maybe they aren't getting paid enough, or their creative aptitude and skills are put into a vice by the director. It's the same between paid developers and modders in games. The modders always seem to provide competent content, and can solve problems devs claim is impossible.
This is completely false though. First of all, Godot is open source. There's no "director". Second, just like devs vs modders, there's a HUGE difference between making something unofficial and official. When making a plugin, you don't have to worry as much about it being compatible with every game out there, about it breaking compatability on a new update. Same with mods.
@@benjattkk For some of them, such as the Jolt Physics add-on, there's some discussion going on about integrating them into Godot.
