Right learning pronunciation ahead is pretty useful and reasonable way for you to go. Even if it is a simple sentence you already know, if you can't speak it fluent like natives, it's hard to go on a next round. You want to be fluent not just know what that is. This is such a wonderful tip for exercising Korean! I just picture a learner doing these everyday just like we work out everyday! Warming up the tongue with pronunciation, expanding to longer sentences like deeper stretching or harder muscle exercise! Doing this daily or a few days a week would definitely show results in a short period of time! My patrons were sharing this video and sharing their experiences, so you know the learners are loving it where you may not see, TTMIK family!
this is really useful! I was actually surprised that I could read along with the paragraph with you reading it out-loud, but I am not yet confident enough to do that by myself with no assistance. more practice for me then :)
Yes! I've been in this situation way too often, and I feel really frustrated. Whenever I see my Korean tutor I can't find my words, but then when I leave I have loads of sentences in my head. I'm seeing her again tomorrow so I'll try warming up first!

Right. If you don't know how to speak, then, everything you know is useless. You want to have it in use. Try yourself with your words ahead. Do not think of your first language to translate what that means. Get your Koean in a direct way. Know yourself you wanna be fluent in Korean not just know some sentences. This worked! I am so surprised! I normally feel (and sound) clumsy when I try to speak Korean, especially in my class. I couldn't understand why I seemed to do well when I practiced my homework, but then I'd trip over my tongue in class. I'll try "warming up" right before class next time. What great content!
Yes, good for you my buddy. Many people say that pronunciation is not an important thing but you need to deliver what you want. That is kind of true but still, if you have an exact pronunciation for your sentence, it will help you to deliver what you are thinking about better cuz you will not be in a struggle to "speak" and also, it's better to understand for listeners when if it's a good pronunciation. This is so so so helpful! I especially appreciate being able to see the speaker enunciate while also seeing the 한글. I still get tongue-tied after 5 syllables, but watching (and speaking along) on repeat to train my speaking & listening "muscles" 😅
this is so perfect! i’m a comfortable intermediate and sometimes when i can’t afford a korean tutor, in a while, my korean speaking starts to slack a bit. but really it’s just been awhile and i have to warm up those mind muscles again lol. so this is absolutely great so that i can keep up with my progress!

Those two books are my favorites. I wish there was a part two to the short stories.

having tried multiple languages, i think something that helps a lot is imagining how sentences in your native language would sound using the sounds and cadences in the other language. it primes you to not fall back on sounding as foreign.

I really appreciate our teacher reading to us, and us with her, because that way we can really learn how to pronounce words the proper way, and not how we think it sounds. Because from learning the pronunciation, to saying the word at a normal speaking level pace to a fast Korean pace, there is a big difference and when you add other words to go along with it and make full sentences, is a complete different ball game!!! So thank you for doing this kind of video, and it would be very helpful and greatly appreciated if you read to us more often. You can maybe incorporate a small novel that you can do videos of in small episodes, so we can all follow along weekly and get in with the plot. Or maybe you can read to us some well known Korean books with short tales or something even historic!! We will appreciate it all!! Thank you and looking forward to more reading from you all!!!

One thing that helped me a lotij improving my English was talking to myself in English. I'm doing the same with korean and it's helping a lot considering i can't be consistent with studying.😅
Fun to think that in a year I will be able to read and answer those questions. For now, I'm learning Hangul and getting used to making my mouth create new sounds:)

The more languages you learn it is easier for you learn new languages, but for Korean you should try learning Hindi btw like me hindi it's my mother tongue and i learned English and Hindi at the same time in childhood and I can say hindi helped me more in Korean vocabulary and grammar than English you can check it yourself too,감사합니다

I love how in every language there is a word that sounds exactly the same but different. Kaka means shit in my language but means snack in Korean - same pronunciation ( I'm zulu- I speak the zulu language)
