This is a fantastic video! I’m only two months into learning Korean but I’ve already noticed the way native speakers intonate their sentences. I wasn’t exactly sure how it mattered or why (other than knowing that raising your pitch at the end of a sentence turns a statement into a question) so this information is extremely helpful!!
That's great!😊
I will work hard to improve my accent ☺️
You're so welcome! And hey, don't worry. Accents are like spices-everyone's blend is unique. Keep it up and you'll be sounding like a native in no time! 😊🎉
every time i speak in Korean it sounds like i still have an American accent 😖 i’ve only been doing this for 6 months so i’ll cut myself some slack , i’ll keep practicing !
I think speaking Korean with an American accent is similar to speaking English having a Korean accent. It doesn't matter at all in itself. Practice steadily with confidence.😊
So helpful, thanks so much!!
Thank you so much for the video. It’s very helpful!
This helped me a lot ☺️
Thank you this video really helps!
I remember watching this video a year ago and not really grasping it. But now, I understand a lot more better now. And the fact that I was able to say the sentences along with you. And I can hear and recognize the difference when emphasizing the words. Really shows how far I have come in my Korean learning journey.
Wow, I felt the same way when I was learning English. I think you'll be really proud-cheers to you.
thank you, so much. ☺️
Very helpful!!!!!! 🎉
Hello Prof Helena Seo. I have just discovered Alpha Korean Class channel today. It is excellent and so helpful in my journey of learning Korean. A big like for this video and I have subscribed. Thank you.
Thankyou🤗
Really great breakdown. Learning the rhythm of a language can be very tricky for non-natives-where to pause, where to inflect, etc. This was very helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for your feedback! Absolutely, mastering the rhythm is key in language learning. Delighted to hear you found it useful. Keep practicing! 😊
I love your videos are so helpful, thank you so much!
Thank you 😊

I'm happy I could help you.😊
Your Great 👍👍 😊
thanks sweetheart ❤️
Wooow, this lesson was so enlightening and interesting! Now the only mystery to solve is to understand how to write “pretty” in korean, when I write a CVC block and then a CV block like in 좋다 should it be in the middle , top or bottom of the prior syllable.? How should I position a CV block after another that has batchim? Should I make the vertical vocal longer to match the hight of the batchim ? I hope I made myself clear, I can write Korean with no problem but how to make my writing pretty and aesthetic no just up , down and anywhere letters? Thank you. Regards from Mexico!

Standard Seoul young gen accent. Well done
excellent video!!
Thanks 😊
I've only been studying Korean for 17 days and I'm so happy I saw this video early 🎉😊😊😊
Hey @softsuny, 17 days into Korean and you found this video? That's what I call perfect timing! 🎉 Keep up the enthusiasm and you'll go far! 😊😊
I got the point which you want to highlight.....
When we arise a question the intonation is higher at the end of the word or sentences
When we just answering the question the intonation is a little bit down .
Thank you mam 😊
My doubt is clear now.
Exactly! You've got a keen ear. Ending intonation is crucial in Korean! I'm thrilled to hear your doubt is clear now. Keep practicing! 😊🎙️
I think this is something that must be learned if you want to sound like a native.

When do u put ㅇ on a sentence because it's silent and in confused
Plz explain more (like context or the timeline of this video) so that I can help you.
@@alphakoreanclass Okay so idk how to explain it well, but in Korean I noticed before some vowels, there is a 'ㅇ' sign example: 아 . But sometimes it isn't there so I'm just wondering when u put the ㅇ sign. All I know is after a vowel it becomes 'ang' but before a vowel it's silent
Btw this video helped me a lot
@@samiii_a Just with vowels, like 아야어여오요우유으이 it becomes a letter and makes sound. ㅇ is a consonant used to do so.
@@alphakoreanclass sometimes it doesn't have the 'ㅇ' sound before a vowel. For example '감사합니다' it doesn't have the ㅇ although it's a vowel (for the A's and the I)
Oh wait I thought this video was about teaching korean english accent but it was just about korean...
Yes it was. :)
Koreans do have an accent like the Chinese do there is a Korean accent .
Yes, I think the Chinese accent and Korean accent are very different.
@@alphakoreanclass you technically, actually not teaching is how to do a Korean accent you are just only technically , actually teaching is how to speak Korean .
