Dishes time is like free time to me. Nobody wants to be anywhere near the kitchen during clean-up. That means I can listen to music, an audiobook, think about what I want to think about or pray and praise God for the roof over my head, food to eat, dishes to clean and ability to do the dishes. Thanks for the video, Jessica!!
Yes! This and also "weeding" in the garden amazingly grants me my own quiet time, too!🌻
It’s my favorite time to listen to my favorite podcasts (same as when I’m hanging laundry).
The truth of being a homesteading woman (even without children) is that more than 50% of our time is spent either cooking or doing dishes LOL
I was looking at your mylar bags with 6 eggs per bag thinking "I bet that's a perfect size breakfast for your backpacker friends to just our in their boiling water and eat". Loaded with great protein, fat and calories for those long hikes. What a lovely gift you are able to share.
Very nice Azure haul! Also really liked the alternative no bake cookie recipe! Thank you! Always nice to watch your family grow... and the tips, recipes and ideas are always appreciated! Blessings on your day Kiddo!🌻🐛Carolyn in Ohio 🌿
Those food allergies are so scary to work with. I have a granddaughter with egg, peanut and tree nut allergies and a grandson with peanut allergies. I used to volunteer for vacation bible school each summer and the staff counted on me to safeguard the children with allergies. I was the only one with experience and my grandkids were also going to this program. I was surprised we had one little girl with red dye allergy. I love how you explain the allergies as you cook and bake. Love your channel. :)
My brother's 3 kids are allergic to red and yellow food dye.
Looks like Hannah loves camera as much as camera loves her:))) My dear lady, I am truly impressed with the amount of work you do to provide healthy food and make good things available to them. I know it comes from abundance of love, but still..:)))
Needs must when there are allergies in the house. My family has a myriad of allergies so I get the efforts required. I’m dairy and gluten allergic, hubby can’t tolerate coconut milk as too high in fat for his gall stones (we’ve managed this for 20+ years). So we tend to eat cheese free, tomato based meals on the whole….
Frittata is our go to for dehydrated, frozen, or freeze dried eggs. Usually the flavor is whatever is left over in the fridge and needs to get used to!
Try your closest Amish store they have nice 50lb. Bags of red and white potatoes. I always buy them once a month and used them almost 2 months. Cause its just 2 of us and cottage cheese ,butter and eggs, and some times milk. For the heavy cream too make my biscuit. These items are so much cheaper then the store here and naturally grown. I can have chickens or milk cows. So that's how I survive on a fixed income.
I live in PA and was thinking the same thing, they have the big bags of potatoes available here although I 'm not sure if they are organic.
Sunday daybreak, coffee and Three Rivers=blessed! Thank you!
Meg at Hollar Homestead mentioned you this week❤️
I’ll need to try the gluten free bread recipe. I have all the things in the pantry to make it but haven’t done it yet. Buying gluten free is so expensive and it’s difficult to find gluten free organic.
The no bake cookie recipe I grew up with didn't call for peanut butter, we used 1 cup shredded coconut.
My oldest son renamed those chocolate no bake cookies, Plop Cookies, and it was the first thing he learned to make on his own. They were HIS soecialty😎🥰
Just a tip on packaging those FD eggs especially with a large family-powder them first in blender or I do it in a bread bag and use a mallet on them to make less mess/cleanup and much more will fit into your Mylar bags with no sharp corners to compromise them. (I slip the bread bag over an end of FD tray and scrape eggs straight into it). I also keep a mason jar of the powder in my cupboard for baking when low on eggs or need a room temp egg quick and my chickens aren’t cooperating!
All those dishes! I know there were 6 in our family and often our friends came by to eat. We never had a dishwasher except for me and my 3 younger brothers. We took turns doing chores as our mom and dad worked! I hated dishes! I liked ironing everyone's clothes and hanging them out to dry. (No dryer until I was about 9 years old!) This was back in the 60s and early 70s.
I love you doing dairy free meal ideas. My 1 year old daughter also has an anaphylactic dairy allergy. We try to eat healthy Whole Foods but so many recipes have dairy. It’s nice to know we aren’t alone in this journey.
God bless you both 🙏🏻❤️
Try other culture foods, in Mexican food (not tex-mex) there is a lot of option, because the dairy comes in form of white cheese but it's always optional, like a topping.
You are not allone ❤
I was on fresh goat's milk from birth. My mother was unable to breastfeed and formula in 1960 was all based on cow's milk. I use soy milk to replace cow's milk in recipes.
I've made no bake cookies for a LONG time. As a girl with five brothers I simply couldn't bake cookies fast enough to keep up, but no bake cookies were do-able. And now my kids live them.
Jessica, I enjoy your videos so much to see what you all are up to.
Happy Easter!🎉
The no bake cookies also freeze very well. I know that you don't need to do that, but for smaller families, it is good to know. I am the only one to eat them in my house. I get about 40 cookies from my recipe, and that is way too much for me to eat by myself. I freeze in 12 cookies in a bag, and when I want or need more, I just let the cookies thaw.
It's also great to be able to make thread, thaw, and add to a care package or take to a potluck. Makes life so much easier!
All I can say Jessica is you are one of a kind Mother....
Thank you for the kindness and encouragement ❤️
Hi there Jessica!!!!
Just wanted to say that you are looking fantastic.
I am so thankful for all the work you put into your videos.
You are a rockstar!!
Your Michigan Fan and Friend Araminta 😊😊😊😊
Thank you so much!!
I am so impressed with your cooking/baking skills. You have inspired me! But, I am most impressed that you always refer to your children as ‘children” not kids. You are so respectful!
Thank you so much!
My children loved those no-bake cookies. We were fortunate, no one had/has any food allergies. You make amazing meals with the restrictions you have, BRAVO!!
Yay! I can’t wait to try the no bake cookies! Thanks for the inspiration x
You are so welcome!
I like the idea of having plenty of freeze dried eggs on hand. I bet you could find a few "recipe in a jar" meals or goodies that would be convenient to have on hand for those busy days. Or maybe you already have that and I've just missed it. Either way, I think if I had a freeze dryer, I would do eggs for sure.
Good Morning, Jessica! I have a friend who is very gluten intolerant and she was looking for a bread recipe! Thank you! I’m looking forward to making your no bake cookies today. Was going to make conventional oatmeal cookies today but your mom’s recipe looks wonderful! Have a Blessed and wonderful week!
I just picked up my own Azure order this morning and had to chuckle when your video popped up. Watching Hannah playing to the camera was adorable. My favorite part was watching those cookies disappear. So funny! My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary a few months ago. From the earliest days of our marriage, when I’d bake cookies, they’d disappear in a nanosecond. I’d always ask him if he knew where the cookies went. He’d always joke that the Cookie Monster must have eaten them. Once our children started arriving, they too would gobble them down, blaming the Cookie Monster! Now, my daughter in law and granddaughter have joined the ranks of cookie gobblers. I love how thrifty, industrious, and loving you are with your family. Wishing all of you a blessed Easter.
Tellement un motivation de voir que je ne suis pas seule dans cette façon de vivre ❤❤❤❤❤
I look forward to your thoughts on life on the homestead. God bless you this week.
Good morning! You have a beautiful handwriting. 😊 God bless the family.
Thank you so much 🤗
Here is a noon and we are after Palm Sunday holy mass.
God bless❤
Busy, busy lady! Love those no bake cookies! I've made them for years and years, I just use chopped pecans instead of the nut butter. We have lots of neighbors locally with pecans here in Georgia so that's why I always use those. Love seeing all those eggs coming in. I eat eggs every single day, too! I am blessed with friends and family with chickens who often share their overflow with me! I know your back packing friends appreciate those farm fresh/freeze dried eggs. That little Hannah is so precious! Growing and showing her sparkling personality more and more each week! I look so forward to your Sunday morning videos! Always watch them before church. Have a great week!
Hey Jessica and beautiful family, God bless us all
Having coffee Sunday morning with Jessica before church. I look forward to this in the morning before anyone else is awake. Thank you.
Were you going to make soap this winter?
Those cookies look wonderful. Great easy safe and delicious dessert to bring to Bible study. Jessica you have an adoreable loving precious family. Hannah’s smile could melt any heart. ❤
I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for taking the time to share your family. God bless you and your family
Thank you so much!
Thank you for coming on at 7am again!
Thank you so much. Blessings
We’ve got eggs coming out of our ears so I’m freeze drying eggs too but we’re putting 2 dozen on each tray. It works out great for us.
Don't forget egg noodles, they use a lot of eggs and when they're dry and packaged freeze well and are also shelf stable for 3 or 4 months.
my compliments on your lovely complexion
These are really good with coconut in the mix, too . I use quick oats and coconut
No bake cookies!!! That was the first cookie I ever made and have continued to make it for many years--passing it down to two more generations too! My dad was an interim pastor in Pennville, Indiana when I was in the third grade, and Mom was finishing her degree at a nearby college. A lovely couple watched my brother and me many times when they were gone and that "Grandma" showed me how to make them. I am so grateful for her and those memories. I love how you have adapted the recipe. AND, I then later grew up just south of where you must be now! I love watching your videos.
You are so lucky to have this as an option. I wish Canada had something similar!
I think there is a company called Organic Matters (or the Canadian equivalent) that has comparable prices and does free shipping over a certain amount. Unfortunately we can't use Organic Matters because their bulk foods don't have the same allergy guarantee as Azure, but if you don't have food allergies it's an option.
I was very glad to have freeze dried eggs on my shelf, when eggs hit $4 a dozen and higher. We had gotten 20 dozen at 97 cents a dozen and freeze dried them. It was so easy, that we got 60 dozen more. Now we only buy eggs when they are cheap, otherwise we use freeze dried. I use 2 T eggs, and 2T water to reconstitute for 1 egg.😊
You bring joy to my Sunday coffee time. Inspiring.
Thank you for sharing such great ideas!
You are so welcome!
Hi, if you are coeliac, then avoid oats as well. There is no such thing as a gluten free oat. Also, try naturally gluten free grains like quinoa and teff or amoranth. They can be used for your entire family. Be extra careful when grinding grains so that you don’t contaminate yourself with gluten. X
Thank you Jessica. I love watching you with your lovely family.❤
We cook a lot of pastries with rice flour in the Philippines. We steam instead of baking. Rice flour makes super soft and fluffy pastries.
God bless you and your family.
Love the no bake cookie recipe will try it ❤
Hope you enjoy
A;ways useful info and a joy to watch!
Your videos are a never miss for me. Your little helper in this video is so cute. Licking spoons and the 1st one to get several samples first. 😂 I know how much you like them with you in the kitchen.
I cook, use as few boxed and canned as posdible. Altho you are much more advanced than myself. To use even a boxed cake mix now, the chemical taste gags me. I can only imagine your kids grown and thinking to try some boxed or frozen convenience foods!! Your family us truly blessed to have you, your knowledge and your wisdom. God bless.
I make banana sago pudding, very easy to make. Add peeled bananas to large saucepan, cover with water and boil. After boiling, use a stick blender to liquidate the bananas then add sago and cook on med-low until the sago is clear. This can be eaten hot or cold.
My husband loves those chocolate peanut butter cookies. It’s best to do those in low humidity months. I’ve had them not set up in the summer here in the high humidity south .
I never thought about sugar getting bugs. I've had the issues with oats and flour of course. I hope to see more recipes in the future using sweeteners other than refined sugar. I'm trying to get away from organic cane sugar and switch to a more natural/healthy way of baking.
Poor Benjamin, he looks absolutely zonked. I bet he'll have a good nap on the way home.🌻😁💤💤.
Wonderful video, as always! Loved seeing your Azure haul and all your yummy recipes! Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us! ❤
Hi Jessica!! I enjoy watching your videos every week especially the day in the life videos and food prep gives me new ideas to implement into my kitchen(recipe ideas etc). I have a random question though about your hair....what products do you use on your hair? How do you keep it so full/thick, healthy? It is just gorgeous. My hair is long but is frizzy(not naturally, overtime has gotten that way because of bad care/bad nutrition growing up..to which Ive changed as Ive learned becoming an adult/wife/mother and wanting to have healthy food for my family) ansd it breaks off easy. Anyways, Id love for you to share what you do...or maybe save for a QnA sometime? Thanks and God bless you!!!
I love watching Azure standard hauls, unfortunately it’s not available to us in the UK otherwise I would use them, sending happy Easter wishes to your family for next weekend ❤❤
Wonderful ❤ hope you have a great week!
Thank you! You too!
Great job! I don't have chickens so when I can get a good deal on eggs, I freeze drying them also! I like how you stored them in 1/2 dozen, I usually do 1 dozen but I am going to do the halves as well.
Ooh yummy pickled eggs! Looking forward to that. Thanks for today's video. Hope your family is doing well Jessica.
Good Evening from Australia. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and have a blessed week.❤

I am expecting my Azure order on Thursday and I’m seeing some things I want to order next month. 😂 Great haul!!
Great week. Love the no bake cookies haven't made them for awhile so going to do that for my week baking. Thank you for sharing
You are so welcome!
Hi Jessica. Another great video. Cookies look so good. Be blessed friend.
Thank you so much 🤗
21:55 Maria Emerich’s Boiled egg protein pudding is a great way to use up lots of eggs, and it’s delicious. (You can also scramble the eggs instead to avoid having to peel boiled eggs.) I have also added some cream to the prepared pudding and made ice cream with my ninja creami. You may have to play around with it to figure out the best formula for your ice cream maker. And you can easily change up the flavor. I’m always amazed that no one would guess it’s made of eggs.
Thank you! I will have to look it up!
Totally agree, it's amazing! I make it with scrambled eggs and coconut cream. You could serve it for breakfast even
Good day good seeing you..😊😊😊😊
You are such a hard worker
They are 1 if my top 2
Wonderful video ❤❤❤ I especially liked the end of the video with the dishes 😂 I totally understand!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Jessica !!!
It's been a long time since I had those no bake cookies (some call them haystacks) - might have to make some. That pie looked really good!! Good work.
Jessica, your energy and determination is amazing and makes us all want to do better. Thank you for sharing. The children are an added enjoyment watching those little hands snatch cookies. Hannah is a ham for sure. Have a great week .
Thank you so much!
Great ideas, thank you
You are so welcome!
My kids really liked raisins in the no bakes
Hi Jessica! I’ve been watching your channel for some time, and you always impress me! I am also gluten and dairy free, which has been a challenge, but honestly finding your channel has been so helpful! Also, I passed it along to my daughter, she just had her first baby, and is dedicated to making everything from scratch..:))… we live on 15 acres, and my husband built our log cabin.. we also have chickens, and hope to have a small homestead , ie goats etc one day!.. love love your videos, and your family is beautiful..🙏❤️
Thank you 😊
You are very inspiring 👩🌾❤️Thank you 🙏
Thankyou for a great video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gluten free bread works really well for bread pudding also
Good morning!
Little miss Hannah is growing too fast. Love seeing your videos.
I make No Bakes here too and my brother in law discovered that you can make them with just peanut butter and they are awesome. I love them both with and without Cocoa Powder. Jessica have you ever made Buckeye Bars? like Buckeyes but in a layered bar form.. I bet if you did the conversion you could do these too using Sunflower Peanut Butter. Anna In Ohio
Good morning. I love seeing Your sweet beautiful children .
The savings on coconut cream and soy milk alone makes azure worth it
Definitely suggest pickling eggs, great snacks. God bless
Your kiddos are so cute! I love your videos.
Thank you so much!
❤thank you❤
Christa Orecchio is a nutritionist and she found that 100% of her patients tested reactive to kidney beans so she disrecommends eating them and says to eat Adzuki red beans instead.
Adzuki beans are on the do not eat list for IBS sufferers as they are high in GOS and fructans. Any bean can be made easier to digest by adding acid to the soaking water and baking soda to the cooking water. I want to know more about her research though so I will look it up
Good morning Jessica! More great recipes to jot down! I can hardly keep up with your (and Farmhouse on Boone and the Zimmermans, whom I believe you recommended or mentioned and now I'm hooked on you all!) wonderful ideas and recipes. I'm gonna make those cookies for my grandkids this week. I love seeing your beautiful kids. When I look at your older videos, they are just growing up right before my eyes, lol. Have a blessed week, my dear.
I feel that allergies to food is a major blessing because it really makes you read labels and learn how to make your own food. I hope more people can see it as a blessing vs a bad thing. I am not saying it isn't something to take very seriously but I believe everything has a purpose. Love your videos
We definitely view that as the silver lining. Although I pray that God would heal Gabe, because it is a huge burden he has to live with, it likely has made us all eat much healthier. God used it for our good.
Great video
Thanks!
I have peanut allergies and Celiac in my home. I make a PUMPKIN VERSION of these cookies that the kids love. With the use of coconut oil and milk, I think they are dairy free as well. I use vanilla pudding mix instead of cocoa powder. I put in a half of a tablespoon of pumpkin spice and use canned solid pumpkin in place of the nut butter. Just a fun variation for your kids to try. Be well!
Great idea!!
I enjoy your content so much. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoy it!
I highly recommend tea eggs for a new flavor for boiled eggs. Or Korean steamed eggs or marinated eggs!
Always look forward to Sunday mornings for
Your video! I get great tips from you! Thanks for sharing!! Also do you have a specific favorite place you get your dresses? Love them. And I love comfort of dresses and skirts. I think they are cooler in the summer as well
Thanks for the dairy free and gluten free recipes. Our granddaughters have these allergies too. ❤
You are so welcome!
hey sista i bet the ice cream machine is the kids favourite gadget x enjoy
Love your videos! Hannah has teeth! Oh my!❤
