Egg noodles are an excellent way to use up eggs. I remember my grandmother's recipe was 1 yolk to 1 cup of flour. She would cut them narrow and hang them to dry on a rack. They would store bagged for several months or frozen for longer. On the days she made noodles, we always had angel food cake as well -- she would use up the egg whites. I can remember that the dried and bagged noodles were always on sale a church bake sales.
I'm going to try this. Thanks for sharing!
Wonder if it works with 1:1 gluten free flour blend
Do not have a rack
Need to get creative
I miss egg noodles being gluten free
Debbie that's something to think about as I only use oat flour too. So far when making pancakes, it's not great for savoury pancakes because it'll break when folding. It stays set for waffles and common cakes - banana bread. The minimal manipulation (it's just strips) may keep it in place. A rack, do you have a drainage tray for crockery? It'll do. Hope it works out
You are such a great mom and homemaker! Love how nothing goes to waste in your food prep. Wishing you a blessed week smothered in God’s love and peace.
Thank you 😊
I have never learned of "salting egg yolks". A great and wonderful day when you can learn something new! At 70+, it doesn't happen as often as I wish, but it makes for a "smiley day" for sure!
My grandmother used to make meringues just like that and let me "help" in a similar way you showed your boys helping. I had forgotten all about them until this video. Now I will have to make some again. Your children will treasure memories of making those sweet treats with you. God Bless you and your family!
So fun to watch the little ones getting a mouthful of meringue! Happiness!
My son (who is 38 now) use to run around with a stick/sword in the back of his shirt too❤ one of my favorite memories!
A fun use for meringues is to jumble them into a bowl, add some vanilla pudding or any custard then drizzle with a fruit sauce or runny jam. I think my Nan called it an Eton Mess. Its crunchy, soft, very sweet but the fruit really shines through!
Great idea!
I can do that! I'm trying to use up some strawberry sauce this week.
Excellent Scots recipe!
Loved Hannah having her first crochet lesson and the little boys enjoying having meringue squirted into their mouths! so much fun.
I’m here just a little south of you and now a first time chicken owner! So excited to see the egg ideas and loved the incubator too. We are limited to 5 hens as we are within village limits but happy to have at least the privilege to have a few. My teenage daughter is begging to move to the country so we can have many more. Maybe one day!
Hey Jessica. A friend suggested to me to use the blunt end of a clean egg to make indents in the salt when I’m curing egg yolks. That way I can fit more yolks, use a little less salt and the yolks won’t slide around and touch before I get them covered. Thanks for your videos. -Natalie
Great idea! Thank you!
Oh man, homegrown peaches. Yum! That's gonna be quite a treat when those trees start fruiting!
That chocolate pudding looks awesome. And you could make the little pie crusts and blind bake it then fill it with some of that awesome pudding
I just love to.see your children!!! They look so happy!!! So many parents don't let their kids help because it is more work. I loved to have my daughter help and now with my grandson. It is so much fun to explain and teach children a new thing. I have said it before it is not the money you spend with children they will.remember it is the time you spend with them. My grandson is missing his great grandma very much we lost her a year ago. My daughter watched her twice a month she had Alzheimer's. She was extremely close to her she had watched her whole n I worked. We went to her house for dinner 4 nights a week after she lost her husband my father in law because she was lonely. My mother in law in the end did go in a nursing home but it was the best one locally and she really liked the place. Because she made friends there. She went for visits to her her daughters and my daughter's. She went for Christmas overnight and then went to my daughters. She died a few weeks later. My daughter was with her she was alone except for.a.nurse everyone had gone for.the day. I think.Arloa waited for.my day Beth Bethany to get there. She was with me when Bethany Arloa was born.
Love watching your family help each other. How you preserve your food has taught me a lot
Hi Jessica! I live just outside of Chicago and we’re getting ready for the 17 year Cicadas. If they are in your area remember to fully protect your new trees. They cut slices into tree bark to lay their eggs and young trees can’t stand up to that like the older trees. 😊
Jessica what a great video. So many tips for all of our extra eggs.😊
Eggs up to our earballs! I thought I knew it all, but here I am taking notes again. Have a good week!
😊I caught myself smiling at the screen when the kids were enjoying the pudding. So cute! ❤
Thank you for the egg yolk curing part of the video. I had forgotten about this process. Love your Sunday morning videos.
You are so welcome!
I had to go dairy free for many years. I have fibro and going dairy free helped. I made chocolate pudding using cashews and we thickend it with agar powder or cornstarch.
I love meringues. Never made them myself. Growing up in Germany the pastry shops would have big ones where the underside was a bit hollowed out. They would fill them with fresh whipping cream. It was always such a special treat when we got one.
Love how you show how to use everything and don't let things go to waste.
I always save my egg shells for the garden. I think I'll add egg shells to my rabbit tea for the garden. I add the shells when planting. I always look foward to your Sunday videos. Have a blessed day.❤❤❤
I have been making mini quiches for about 45 years , they are so popular with my family and friends , for any occasion as well . I also make a variety of flavours , using corn , spinach , bacon , , grated zucchini and my oldest daughter loves tomato in hers ,
I especially love the idea with the re-purposing of the egg shells. I am in the process of establishing garden beds in my new rental home and the calcium tea water for seedlings is a brilliant idea that I am going to implement. greetings from my family in Australia to yours. Have A Blessed Day
Great video as always! Just wanted to let you know that if you add a bit of vinegar (less than a tsp) it makes the calcium more available to the plants. Also, if you happen to have any banana peels it will extract the potassium too.
Thanks for the info!
Have a blessed Sunday with your wonderful family! Thank you for the wonderful content, as always!
Thank you! You too!
Great idea about the mini quince. I love how your dog was taking in the sights while the humans worked! 🤭
The candy is a variation of Sea Foam or Divinity Candy.. without the corn syrup, very very old fashioned candy. Jessica have you ever made Potato Candy? Peanut butter, potatoes and confectioners sugar.. I bet the kids would be fascinated with that one. Anna In Ohio
Not yet!
My mother-in-law used to make the baked meringues like you but she added chocolate chips & nuts to the egg whites. That may give you a different recipe for you to use. Her recipe heated the oven to like 400° & then turn the oven off & place egg white cookies in the oven for maybe 30 mins or less till done. Chips are melted & they taste great. Just thought you might like the idea. Thank you for your video. Great ideas for how to use eggs.
We also planted some fruit trees this week!
I am allergic to so much, but I am happy to know that I can use another recipe for pudding. My go to is made from avocado, but they are expensive. Thank you for sharing all your recipes!!!
11 weeks and Summer Break, I can see the children celebrating now. Meanwhile your Garden Season is already going. Love the tips today. The shell water is a good one. Your recipes always look so tasty. Really enjoyable video as always Jessica. Have a great week.
Thankyou for a great video. We are hoping this week we can plant fruit trees. 2 peaches 3 apples 2 pears . Have a great week.
Hi Jessica!! Another awesome video!! Praying you have an incredible week ahead.
Happy Home Church Day!!!❤
Your Michigan Fan and Friend, Araminta 😊😊😊
Love the little meringue fingers...❤️
Have a Blessed Sunday Everyone!! As always Much Love From Okc ❤
in the uk you can buy meringue nests to fill with fruit popular at easter
Eggcelent recipe ideas. Thanks 🙏
Most welcome 😊
The calcium tea is genius! Thank you Jessica! Val C ❤️🙏🏻
This is my second time watching . At times I do some work as i listen . Absolutely love those babies. Funny Hannah.
I love your channel. I always learn more. Plus, you are the sweetest person and kind-hearted. ❤ Thank you for all you do.
I am trying to start buying from Azure. Can't wait to try the chocolate chips sweetened with coconut. ❤
I have been wanting some fruit trees and a compost area ... I didn't really think the trees would be possible, but now I think they might! So glad I saw this! And the calcium water was new to me, also! The merengue cookies we had every Christmas. I miss them. Time to find that recipe again! Thanks for sharing! GBU ❤
You could freeze your sausage gravy solid then pop them out and put the squares in a big freezer bag. Might save you some room in your freezer.
As always, great video! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Prayers for a blessed week for you and your family, Jessica.
Thank you so much!
You could powder some freeze dried strawberries, to flavor them. I would love to see the chicks hatch, how exciting and very cute. .
Would love to hear which movies you watch with your children? I sometimes struggle to find movies that are appropriate for all ages, without rewatching again and again the same ones. Thanks ❤
Have a blessed week. Thank you as always ❤
You are so welcome
We used the smaller model of that incubator for the first time. We had 10 of the 12 eggs hatch. It was so much fun. My grandchildren loved it.
God Bless you and your precious family, Jessica ❤ Happy Sunday!
Oh …….how beautiful are your children, Hannah is absolutely adorable, as are your other children.
😊 thank you
I hope you were able to plant the big orange persimmons in your zone. They make a wonderful snack when dehydrated! I slice them fairly thin and when finish dehydrating they’re about the thickness of fruit leather.
Happy Monday 😊 bless us all
Such good ideas! You are so blessed.
Thanks for another great video!
If there are no nut allergies, you could make almond meringues, or amaretti🇮🇹
Egg white, almond flour, sugar and maybe a little almond extract. Use a wider open star tip for piping.
Sooooooo gooood!
Wonderful video this week, Jessica. I got some new ideas and recipes to try. Your seedlings are looking so big and beautiful, as are your kids, lol. You look great too :)
Thank you for the kindness 😊
Just started brewing my calcium tea today and am salt curing some egg yolks!
Here's a nice way to use some eggs: layer onion peels, bacon skin, bacon ends, or any fatty smoked meat bits and pieces, add a layer of eggs, lots of unpeeled garlic cloves, pepper corns and salt (I put a handful on each layer). Repeat as many times as you have material, cover with water and cook slowly for a very long time (I never cook it less than 10 hours). You can certainly keep them in a fridge for a week, wonderful snack!
This sounds interesting
I don’t follow? What is this making in the end? What temperature is the oven? How much water?
@@annd8666 Water enough to cover all and boil, not in the oven. You get most delicious eggs, aromatic, seasoned..
Hard boiled eggs???
Eggcellent video!
You are looking great. The changes you've made are working for you.
I love your videos I learn something new each time and try for myself God Bless you and your family
Such a great video. Hope you have a wonderful week. God bless.
TY. Love all your ideas. You are a good teacher...
Thank you so much!
I love your videos! Thanks so much. God bless!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for showing some healthier alternatives using eggs! 🌻
Enjoyed it!
Another great video Jessica. I use to make the meringue cookies for my kids. I will have to make them for my granddaughters. Your recipe is really simple.
Have you ever tried salted duck eggs?
It's fairly easy to make at home and an absolute staple of chinese cooking.
Salted eggs + rice porridge is a simple comfort food for me for cold days or days I'm sick. But I imagine it works just as well for a savoury oat porridge.
Salted egg sauce has also been a popular sauce for stirfry where I'm from.
Random recipe!

Thank you for the recipes!
My pleasure 😊
Protein rich chocolate pudding
12 hard boiled eggs, 1 cup milk, ⅓ cup cocoa, ⅓-½ cup sugar, 1T vanilla, ¼t salt. Blend until smooth, refrigerate to set and cool 😁🥰🤍 really yummy!
Thanks for sharing!!
I love your family Jessica great video ❤❤
🤤 Thank you for the pudding recipe!
Hope you like it!
I learn so much for your videos. Thank you so much for sharing. Blessings
You are so welcome
I just canned blueberry pie filling and my kids keep asking if I am making pies! I didn't plan on it but I think I can split a jar between mini pies and danishes!
I learned so much from this video. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the calcium tea tip!
You are so welcome!
Thank you ❤ for great recipes and ideas which I have seen only on your channel (e.g. the trick with the ducks yolks). The knowledge and an order you apply into ordinary life is exeptional.
God bless 😊
Thank you so much for the encouragement ☺️
That pudding looks delicious, as I'm a chocolate lover.💖💖💖😂😂
Great ideas, I will be making some eggstravagent treats too.
I tried studying your pantry shelves where you put the dehydrating duck eggs. We just got a 11” deep set of bookshelves that go to the ceiling installed in our kitchen so I can store mason jars full of my dehydrated jarred foods . I’m stumped how to organize it. I also have bulk storage downstairs. How do you decide what to keep and how to arrange your jars?
Good day 😊😊
Such amazing content in every video! I absolutely love watching your channel.
My son is about to start solids and i remember you talking about starting Hannah on Bone Broth at the beginning of her weaning journey. Did you do a video on how to make it? id love to learn how to make it. Ive watched so many of your videos i cant remember which ones talked about your weaning process. If you can remember, could you remind me which episodes they are please?
Your guardian dog is so gorgeous ❤❤
Thank you!
What a fun video!! I am going to make some juice fruit snacks with beef gelatin for the grandkids, so i had to pull up one of your many vids on those :) This is a good one as usual! I sent you a DM to IG with an exciting offer for both of us. Be blessed, happy planting soon! I just seed started!! Thanks for all you share :)
A great informative video.
Glad it was helpful!
Enjoyed your video as usual. Calcium water is new to me. Thank you. jjs
You’re welcome 😊
I love watching your videos, you are such an inspiration! May i ask what kind of plant lights you use? Thank you
Hey! We also have TONS of eggs right now and I would love to do the “fake cheese” way of preserving. My question is does it have to specifically be Himalayan sea salt or can you use any salt? And can I reuse the salt to make more “fake cheese”. ❤
Any salt will work. After you use the salt, bake it in the oven to dry it out and kill any bacteria and then you can reuse it.
@@threerivershomestead thank you 🩷
You are an awesome woman! To be a little like you would be great.
Thank you for the kindness ☺️
Try leche flan with that egg
Should I be adding calcium tea to tomatoes and peppers!!!? I have all those started inside right now and I'm super excited for this season!!!!
You can if you want. There have been years I haven't had a chance to fertilize them indoors and it worked out just fine. I fertilized after transplanting.
Can you dehydrate eggs?
Thanks for the calcium tea recipe. I'll be making that for my garden this year! Blessings for your week.
❤
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
Love all your videos! Just wondered if you’re ever able to use non dairy cheese or goat cheese? I’ve never made quiche without some sort of cheese. Blessings to you and yours!
We could use the non-dairy cheeses, but we don't prefer the taste of them.
Blessed Sunday, Jessica! Wonderful video on using eggs. Just curious, how long do eggs last if water glassed? Have a wonderful week!
"They" say 18 months. I had a friend try them after two years and she survived, but I am not that brave. Ours are always eaten up the following winter.
@@threerivershomestead thank you. Mine are 14 months. I appreciate the information
Your duck eggs are so clean! Mine never look that clean.
I had to wash them. Our ducks are filthy.
hello, do you have a gluten free pie crust recipe? love your cideos thank you for sharing.
