VW TIGUAN MK2 - How To Remove Heater Blower Motor Air Con Fan & Resistor Removal

Guide on how to remove the a/c blower motor assembly on a VW Tiguan Mk2 model, years 2017 onwards.
It is possible to remove just the resistor by removing just the foam on the underside of the glove box.
The model in the video has the infotainment unit in the glove box, which will need to be removed to access a mounting screw at the rear of the glovebox (radio keys required).

I’m guessing this is the same procedure for the newer VW Golf. It’s such a pain in the ass I thought I could do it easily by myself instead of paying $1000 to take it to the dealers to get it replaced

This procedure compare to my Tiguan is very complicated my 2018 Tiguan from Canada made in Mexico all you have to do to take the motor out is pull down on the tap that has blue marker and twist counter clock wise and it comes off no tools needed

What were some symptoms of your blower going out,I have 2018 Tiguan as well and sometimes ac turns on or doesn’t at all. Thanks

Same symptoms as u it would come on and stop working for a while or sometimes it doesn’t come on all but that was in middle of winter I was using heat not ac I went to junk yard bought a heater blower it was easy to change nothin like this video and I never had a problem again

Can you go over the blend door acuator locations and replacement? I have a Tiguan and I know that is the issue but cant seem to find the location of the three nor the part number

I connected everything back together but for some reason the radio screen won't turn on anymore did you have to reset it afterwords?
