This is an excellent tutorial. Thank you for the great camera work. Step 3 was the info I was missing. Great backing track too.
Thank you for the feedback!
Great video - thank you! Worked great for a 2009 Jetta SportWagen SE with the 2.5L engine. The hardest part was working the old motor out past the plastic vents and the footwell liner, then working the new one in past those items.
In case anyone else is looking, I found an OEM blower motor made by Valeo online through FCP Euro for under $100. The local VW dealership wanted $273 for it!
Thank you for your feedback!

German engineering... Can you imagine a ford? You'd need to have the rear differential torn appart and the transmition all over the floor before you could fill the windshield washer fluid.
Sir I think you mean the opposite typically American cars are far easier to repair. Doing my VW I’m always like of course it’s harder than I thought. For once though this looks like I can do it without calling dad lol
My 2006 VW Golf blower runs well for about 45 minutes after start, but then quits. It starts again if the car is turned back off. Any thoughts as to if the blower needs replaced?
I have the same issue. Did u ever figure this out?
@@raymondburcheci4297 I haven't. I'd be interested to hear if you get it resolved!
@@imatorbert resistor, it’s like 15 dollars
Sounds the blower motor resister, sounds like it’s failed as when they do fail they overheat and switch off killing your blower motor.
I just replaces my 40amp fuse as it had a blown. Put a new one in and I'm still getting nothing. Time to source a blower motor by the sounds.
Music sooo loud.. 😕😕😕
Putting it back in is a pain in the ass
Lol
