Plot:
With the help of his elder brother, Sherlock Holmes along with his associate, Dr Watson, ventures out on a mission to thwart the devious designs of their arch-rival, Professor Moriarty.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is a 2011 period action mystery film directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Joel Silver, Lionel Wigram, Susan Downey, and Dan Lin. It is the sequel to the 2009 film Sherlock Holmes, and features the Sherlock Holmesand Dr. John Watson characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The film's screenplay was written by Michele Mulroney and Kieran Mulroney. Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law reprise their roles as Holmes and Watson, and were joined by Noomi Rapace as Simza, Stephen Fry as Mycroft Holmes, and Jared Harris as Professor Moriarty. The film follows an original premise incorporating elements of Conan Doyle's short stories "The Final Problem" and "The Empty House".
In the film, Holmes and Watson travel across Europe with a Gypsy adventuress to foil an intricate plot by their cunning nemesis, Professor Moriarty, to instigate a war.

Honestly, this is a grand example of the audience needing to take an open ending AS the ending.
I know you and I want more, but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

@@PhantoMace2012 they pushed it two years because rdj insisted that if they rushed it in the pandemic situation it would come out as a flop and he really didnt want that. they wanted the 3rd to be the best of all and thats hard to achieve so they think its best not to rush it and make it come out in a hurry
Plot Twist: Sherlock only faked his death so Watson wouldnt have to look after him so he could enjoy honeymoon with his wife and Sherlock could resume his crazy experiments.

One of the best Plot Twists ever and this movie has got two. Both the time, Holmes resurrecting. This movie is amazing. Once you are in so much grief for the death of Homes and the next moment, a wave of happiness graces you. Brilliantly Perfect🏅🏅

Lol!!!! I love how the music changes when Watson realizes Sherlock is alive once seeing the breath tank, and seeing his head turned slowly brings me back to the theater cheering on that moment. :). Can’t wait to see what Sherlock Holmes 3 takes us next, in 2021.

But as promised, Sherlock will no longer ask for Watson’s assistance, thou is at least giving him the subtle message that he’s still alive
Then slightly editing his memoir, knowing they’ll meet again
I don't think so. Moriarty was screaming no way he was thinking. Holmes on the other hand was perfectly calm - accepted his fate. Much more likely that he thought of something in the last second, or perhaps before he fell, since he pushed them both off.
Moriarty's survival is exceedingly unlikely. Honestly, the fall would kill them both at least as often as not, but assuming you survive the fall, you'd need some way to avoid drowning. Holmes prepped for that very thing. He went into the encounter knowing how he'd end Moriarty. Moriarty never foresaw what Holmes would do.
In chess, in their larger game against one another, and finally in that last fateful encounter ... Holmes was always just one move ahead of Moriarty. And one move was all it took.
If you know the original story then your know, that Moriarty is dead.
Umm, in the novel Moriarty survived the fall...but died later after being pushed down a cliff by holmes or more like he tried to copy what holmes did and fall down along him but holmes was faster to dodge and so Moriarty fell down on his own@@n0wheregrrl

Holmes truly is a genius. I swear i noticed something was off the moment John had opened the box and the recliner once again could be seen. A fairly distinct distortion of the flower pattern in the fabric.

You know what's funny ? Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the dude who wrote the original Sherlock Holmes' stories, was pissed off by the fact that Holmes was way more popular than all his other work. He actually killed off Holmes at the end of the original novel (and only wrote more "prequel" because of money and angry fans).
Pretty sure Doyle was spinning in his grave when this movie came out XD
he didnt write prequels, all the subsequential novels are placed after Reichenbach
