In this video I walk you through the replacement of the front lower control arms for a 2012 Ford Fusion. The procedure is the same for a 2006 - 2012 Ford Fusion and 2006-2012 Mercury Milan and 2006 Mazda 6.

To free that steering knuckle, I flipped the nut upside down to protect the threads (you never know if you'll need to stop for some reason or another and put it back together), then I used a propane hand torch on the knuckle to expand it a little bit. No hammers were working, so I used a 25lb dumbbell that I randomly had in my garage. That dumbbell is perfect for the tight space, and it allows you to get two hands on it and really throw it up with good momentum.

How do you diagnose the ball joints for replacement?

Had this job this morning. Ended up giving up. Ball joint is literally seized up. I had a choice between ruining my tools or walking away from it

Terrific videos on the front suspension on the Fusion! I’m curious what kinds of replacement parts do you use? How did they hold up thus far? Where do you buy them? Thanks

What a piece of sh*t horrible design. Lowering the sub frame some is bs. Thanks for the video dude. Good job.

Why not just burn out the bushings and replace them. The steel doesn’t go bad. Save big $ no?

Stupid design for the rear control arm bolt. They should have designed an indent or hole for clearance for removing the bolt. That's Ford/Lincoln engineers for you always thinking of the tech that has to repair it lol ;)

Lack of details , the main thing is to show how to remove the inner side.
    Anyway!
