    Great Video, Klavs! After changing the wishbones on my Mazda6 today I can only emphasize what you said...even with an impact screwdriver it's a painful work, but without a powerful impact.."ur in a world of pain" xD
    Anyway, keep up the good work, cheers! 3:26

    Another great video Klavs, thank you. How long did it take per side? Also, thanks to your other video I changed the rocker cover gaskets. It took me just over one hour.

      Oh awesome, good job on the gasket. When you do this kind of jobs first time, it does take longer.

    Great work, this is right on the limit of what I'm prepared to do on my driveway. What were the symptoms you were addressing? Knocking?
    I don't suppose you have ever had the stiff steering issue? (Equally stiff in both directions)
    Keep up the good work

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Mostly knocking when turning the wheel, going over bumps, and the steering goes funny when the suspension is loaded.
      Stiff would be more related to the steering rack or electronic going to it. ( If you have electronic steering rack)

      @@KlavsX_ thanks.
      Yes it's electric, I have the same car.

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  Před 5 měsíci +1

      One thing you could try is to calibrate the steering around 4 to 6 times. ( I did try to calibrate with my topdop) First 3 times of successful calibration did nothing. No codes , no improvement. On the 5th time I recalibrated the wheel, it started to work smoothly. ( It is only a matter of time before it goes back to been stiff again)
      Now, before I buy a new steering rack for 1k, ill try to replace the clock spring, angle sensor. To see if they are the culprits. ( start with the easiest and cheapest options)

      If you doing any headunit / radio upgrade I would strongly recommend a patch harness, or adapter harness. Cutting wires and soldering / making your own loom will take quiet some time.

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I found a really nice deal from Ebay motors. For now, IF, the quality is good, can't say. Time will show.
      But for now, I don't see any difference between OEM or the aftermarket stuff.

    Hi , I changed mine with Halfords but when driving I can hear some rubbing sound on the left side ,what could be the issue ?

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  Před měsícem

      What kind of rubbing sound is it? metal to metal or rubber to metal.
      That could be anything, lose bolts, wrong installment that the alignment is incorrect, other components have failed, wheels rubbing on suspension, the list goes on.

    • @ericich.5769

    • @KlavsX_
      @KlavsX_  Před měsícem +1

      Without looking at the left side suspension, it's a guessing game.
      you have there anti-roll bar, upper suspension arm, shock, the wheel could rub on the wheel arch if the plastics clips haven't been put back in properly. For now I can guess.
