What do you think Tom Cruise & David Miscavige are like behind the camera?
David Miscavige seems like he'd be CREEPY AF!
Like, serial killer creepy.
& as for Tom I get the feelin he's a dick. I've heard many stories about him being an ABSOLUTE A**HOLE
Overly complimentary of one another. Each wants to be the other. Idk, not gonna say what I truly believe cause I'm afraid of literally getting into trouble.
😊
Ha ha, I just noticed the similarity between Alfred E. Neuman and DM.
Individually a-holes. Together I’m quite sure they are fine.
I don’t see how the could fit both of their egos into the same space.
Have never heard anyone say something bad about John Travolta. Good to hear
Andrew, you are a natural interviewer. You have a wonderful way of talking to people, & you're really good at listening. You ask good questions to get people comfortable with opening up,and you dont talk over them. Thanks for yet another great video.👍 Much ❤ to you and yours from Nashville, TN USA 🇺🇸
Agree Andrew is excellent
I couldn't agree with you more.
A natural Pattern Benatar ✨
I absolutely agree with your statement 👌
So supportive of all of you who are speaking out. I was raised in a different cult religion and am very grateful for the moment I chose to leave. When you finally see the truth you can't unsee it and that's a real freedom.
, Mormon??
Mitch is still fresh out of Scientology. I can tell he hasn’t fully disengaged and is still in healing mode. It’s going to take a few more years.
I say this from personal experience.
@@kirstendstewartmy read is exactly the same as yours.
I think I'm open-minded, but really? 😒 Yes, it's true that people are complicated and no one is perfect, but knowing what we know now about these people makes me feel uncomfortable with marginalizing their behavior. I'm sure many people liked some "homicidal people" before finding out who they really are. After the fact, It's completely fair to feel disgusted by their deeds. JMO
I was getting that feeling also. He’s got one toe still in.
I agree 👍
Great interview, Andrew. I appreciate your innate ability to listen without judgement.
"I came to make a movie and stayed for 28 years." Priceless statement! More seriously, it sounds like he was in a dark and lost space and Scientology, (for him) filled his "need" at the time. Cults often recruit the vulnerable as they are easy targets. Sad really.
I liked him as the bad guy in the truman show
LOL, its li,e I came for the coffee but stayed for the eggs lol 😆
Hey Mitch! Stay strong. There is a whole world full of people out there to be your friends, so start new projects with you, to move forward with you. You just keep on being you. Scientology does not define you. You did just great in that program, lifestyle, whatever. Consider yourself a success, a graduate. I don’t think you quit Scientology, I think you surpassed it. And get your butt into something consistent like a choir or hiking club or something that is just for your own body and soul. I was advised to use a pseudonym in activities like that since I did not want to be recognized by name. You just do what you need to do to take care of yourself.
Thanks BUD! U don't know what I went through, my dog died, my cat has Aids, my goldfish hate me, I can't find my drugs, lost a ton of money on Crypto, my girlfriend is fake, my uncle Ned is not happy with me and my uncle Ned is smarter then you bud!
Only users lose drugs 😂
I like Mitch very much. Nice way of talking about his experiences. Genuine and humble.
Helpful - his story helps us to see how many vulnerable people get caught up in the nonsense.
This is one of the best Scientology interviews I've seen. Thanks!
Having a chuckle at the similarity between Alfred E. Neuman and DM.
David "Darth Midget" Miscavige

I have to say that I really respect the journey of this man, from drug addict to cult addict, to final, personal, and creative freedom. His wisdom has been hard-won and well worth listening to.
This interview is fantastic. I love Mitch as a guest 👍

Very interesting listening Andrew. Thank You
Great Work too😊
Really enjoyed this interview, it makes a change to get some fresh information on Scientology. Andrew your pleasant as always 😊☺️
Very interesting. In Atlanta Scientologists seemed to spend their lives selling flowers on busy roads in the 70s and 80s
What a great interview! Please have him back! 😊
LRH was an abusive jerk! I hate it when people make him out to be some great guy. He wrote the policies. He threw people off his ship. ( literally). He abused his wives, his children etc. He was money hungry jerk who didn’t care about anybody.
Agree with you.Cant stand this lousy actor, what is his name again?? Cruise or something.H...him
No he wasn’t Scientology was brought out for the good of people they were infiltrated by the CIA and MK Ultra now they are evil
I believe he was friendly with A Crowley too. Sick bastard.
@@jamesoneill2933 Yes he was and another occultist Jack Parson. LRH had lived with Jack and his girlfriend Sara. LRH and Sara took off together and later married in 1946.

He still NEEEEEDs help.
I’ve really enjoyed listening to Mitch on several platforms. I always learn something new. Very genuine.
Also, Mitch Brisker is a delightfully nuanced guest, look forward to seeing more of him! Wish him healing. 🙏
Great interview! Thanks so much for speaking out! I wasn’t looking for dirt on Tom. I don’t think anyone will find any. I just wanted to know more about people’s experiences in Scientology. One of my family members had a near miss in the early 2000s! Thank God he couldn’t afford to go to the next level. He just got through the first one. The mailers have followed him up to this day! Frustrating! But at least that’s the worst of it!
Elle: What a subtle, yet gracious, way you pointed out that the reference to Tom Cruise was a bit of click bait. You seem to have exceptional diplomatic skills. Your comment taught me something about semantics. I agree that Andrew Gold is a talented interviewer.
Tom left 3 wives and a baby because his religion told him to!!!
Just finished the "Going Clear" audiobook last week. It continues to mystify me how people get sucked in by this. I think Battlestar Galactica (the reboot, not the original) had the better plot line for this. If Hubbard had to invent something, better he would have gone with that idea, instead of all this nonsense about volcanos, Xenu and audits.
We see it all at once so it’s clear to us but unfortunately most is hidden from them!!!! We probably know more about Scientology then most Scientologists!!! 🤦♀️
Crazy insidious crap isn’t it!!??
Ugh I want to rescue them allll and some don’t even realize they need rescuing 😢
People want to gain control in their lives and solve their problems
Many folks choose to find shortcuts
Welcome to the cult
I remember the first time I heard about scientology and going clear. Judy Norton who played Mary Ellen on the Waltons was the person on it.
People get sucked down rabbit holes and stay stuck there, I seen it with people. They can't climb out. They can't accept logic or opposite opinion.
@@trixmania right and more than not they’re not even “allowed” to listen to it! ugh 🤦♀️

Excellent interview, very balanced. i could listen to Mitch all day
Thank you Mitch and Andrew. Great interview.
Your story is so interesting and important. Appreciate you both. ❤️
This was a very interesting interview. We want more! I have to give you "chapeau" for your non verbal communication, dear Andrew. I see, that you want stay with your face most of the time neutral, and that´s good. Not too much, not too small. Sometimes you raise your eyebrows, you affirm with moving your head, relax your shoulders, you rise your ends of your mouth....and you regulate your voice very well, to calm the other person down (ok, this is verbal, but - seriously, it is because your partners in your interviews went through bad stuff and it is a very positive reaction from your side). I am a lawyer and have lots of trainings in non verbal and verbal communication, and I must say - as I think and feel, that you are a MENSCH. Thank you.
Isn't it mensch?

I remember watching a documentary about parents taking their children to Hollywood for months of auditions hoping to get parts and getting their starts in becoming stars. I remember a few of the parents speaking of purchasing Scientology books and attending like counseling meetings of sorts. I was struck at how much credence they gave to Scientology and becoming stars.and
Those parents are disgusting human trash. They're absolutely soulless. They're so desperate for fame and wealth that they'll exploit their kids for anything.
I remember watching a child predator documentary where they pretended to be a talent agency (in California of course) to investigate how easy it would be to exploit children in the real world. They basically tried to see what the parents would allow. Every single person who arrived was a mom.
They asked if they could take nude pictures of their child for an upcoming role in a movie. Every single mom said it was ok. Some of the little girls were as young as five years old.
I've heard many stories about child exploitation, trafficking and sexual abuse in Scientology. Suddenly it makes sense why they offer all these "acting workshops".
"Scientology, Mormons & Jehovah's Witnesses, the big three." It was really when all the Scientology stuff started coming out that I realized I needed to get out of the Mormon church.
They are all strikingly similar. Offer hope and love bomb to hook you in. But try to leave and be ready to have your life destroyed.
Sadly, there's many more. Why these cults are allowed, I don't understand (outside of corruption).
I grew up a Jehovah's Witness, but I never considered it a cult. When I was 18 I decided to leave the church and no one was following me, or harassing me. Sure the elders talked to me to ask me if I was really sure, but after I stated yes I was never harassed or pressured. Until today I am still friends with some that still are in the church. I think there are just real fanatics out there which you have in every religion. There are even fanatic Christians. So I would not really call it a cult if you can leave when you please and chose to do so.
@@patrickprus6865 you mustn’t have been baptised. Because that is absolutely not the procedure for someone that is. And if you were, you were very very lucky, because they ask that question and if you say you no longer wish to be a Jw, they announce that you are no longer one with zero details as to whether you’ve been disfellowshipped or disassociated. Therefore your family, and friends, unless you go back against your will, can never ever talk to you again.
@@newdawnfades263 like I stated there are fanatics that take the rules too literally and magnify them. Your friends and family are told not to speak to you anymore as they see people that leave the faith as bad influence. But they cannot prohibit you to speak to your friends and family. If for example one is leaving the faith and the family continues to have contact with them, they do not get into trouble for that. It's a recommendation not a law that everyone has to obey by. I think culture also plays an influence as I see for example Latin Jehovah's Witnesses to be even stricter. Again I speak only for Jehovah's Witnesses. I have heard from friends that belonged to Scientology of being harassed.
" People are really complicated " . What an incredibly honest statement .
The best interview so far! I'd love to know what the spoke during those dinners with TC and David, like they talk about the real world? about weather? idk
I really enjoyed your guest today...thank you for this content.🌞
Hi Andrew and Edgehog Fam! ❤
Hi 👋

Andrew, you present the most interesting and informative videos!! Todah rabah!
Who’s giving 5 foot Little People permission to beat them???
Why does it feel like this guy was doing positive PR for Cruise??
He talked about Exactly what he knows from his Own personal experience! No Embellishments ! Nothing else. An honest straight forward conversation ❤
@@margaretcantlon9960 or he's trying to come across as giving genuine personal experience (throwing in some kinda negative information) and yet spinning Cruise into being a possibly normal guy and not the monster everyone knows him to be who escaped that cult??
Key Mormon rites have deep roots in Freemasonry.
Key Scientology rites have roots in acid trips I had in college.
Yes like about 90 %
Scientology has roots in the occult
I was always of the opinion that folk who found themselves in these cultist groups must have been extremely gullible and also must have had some type of intellectual deficit.
What I think I know now (strictly from these insights, interviews and broadcasts) is that these groups (liike scientology) seem to sense when an individual is at their lowest ebb and consciously predate them.
Of all the former scientologists you have had the opportunity to talk to, each one has proven to be extremely intelligent, very articulate and excellent at providing critical analysis of their circumstances. They are also providing an invaluable function in highlighting the potential dangers to the wider world and it is pleasing to know they are receiving all the acknowledgement they each deserve.
I sincerely hope that Miitch knows that he is among friends now and that even by just outlining his experiences in this type of format, I can guarantee that he has likely deterred at least one person from slipping down the scientology wormhole.
Peace be with you, Mitch
I was of the same thought. 😮
Great interview. What a wise man, I love how he taps the nuance of humanity as well as what accountability means. Now I have to see that film Mitch was in in the '70s. Thanks Andrew.
Think about it, if Tommy Davis had just responded to Leah Remini with a polite lie instead of being an asshole, she may have never left Scientology, started The Aftermath, and helped become a driving force for taking down this cult.
Yes, so true. Well thank god he did. And thank goodness she did. And never stopped pushing for her answers.
So glad the “Keebler elf”, met his match. And not in size.Lol. Leah stomped on him, and never looked back. Bless her. And all those who followed in her path. To rid our world, from the evils of Scientology. One cult member at a time. 😂
It would have happened regardless. It was destined to happen.
Thank you, Andrew. From South Africa 🇿🇦

Getting Leah on your show would be awesome. If you ask, she would love to give an interview. She's in a lawsuit with Scientology, so she might not give too much information. But I admired Leah, she's a pistol and not afraid.
Hi Andrew. You say at the 11 minute point of this video, "I'm often making this point and, you know, nobody, well few people, would join a cult or community, whatever, if it didn't offer anything good." That's not strictly correct. They need only offer something that *appears* good. I would argue that the communications course (the thing most frequently cited as being beneficial) is not in reality a "good" thing for the trainee. If examined closely what it achieves is to train someone to be manipulative but to be manipulated too. The former may feel like a good thing but the latter is a bad thing and - by definition - not noticeable by the victim.
It's a minor point and please, keep up the good work.
Sounds like this guy was in the game, doesn't want to give away secrets and what he did.
28 years.....willingly.
Excellent interview! I love that you let people talk
Awww, Andrew, you are just a BABY! I, as an old fart American, vividly remember the DIANETICS book commercials that used to play on TV while my sisters were watching their soap operas (All My Children, General Hospital, Guiding Light, The Edge of Night, etc.) It is why even today, forty-five (45) years later, I still DETEST commercial TV.
The commercials, as I remember, were well done. They featured stock footage of an erupting volcano, I assume representing the volcano that the airplanes dropped the spirits of the population in before they were destroyed with Hydrogen Bombs. (According to L. Ron Hubbard. Of course the narrator did not ever actually TELL the viewer what DIANETICS was. He merely told how: POWERFUL, IMPORTANT and LIFE-changing it was and then the commercial was over and I was watching a spot about TIDE laundry detergent or McDonalds hamburgers.
The spot also bragged how the book was topping the most important BEST SELLER lists. Of course, they did not explain how this was achieved. L. Ron Hubbard hired teams of purchasers in every major city and sent them out to the bookstoes where they were instructed to buy EVERY SINGLE COPY of DIANETICS that the store had in stock. They returned the books to the publisher's distribution warehouse.
When the inevitable call came in from the THRILLED bookstore owner requesting more DIANETICS books, the same books that were taken from his store earlier in the week were shipped back to him to be sold again. The same copy of the DIANETICS book was likely sold a half dozen times!
However, many they claim to have SOLD, there were not even that many copies of the book PRINTED! 🤣
Laurisse, if you read this, just think about this: When will you end up on a “behavior modification program” in a remote confidential location, with a new hot little honey acting as Miscavige’s “Communicator”? Wake up.
I think our government today is just Scientology 2.0
Mitch Brisker seems to be a really nice guy. I wish him all the best!

This was a much better interview. AAron seemed annoyed with him the whole time, it wasn’t a pleasant watch. This is fantastic 😊
I can understand why Aaron was annoyed. It was like watching paint dry. And moisten your mouth already!! How hard is it to take a sip of water. As you get older everything starts to dry up. Lol. I was waiting for those yucky white things in the corners of his mouth to form. 🤢
Yvonne Gillham Jentzsch was a major figure in the Church of Scientology, one of it's most beloved people, and the founder of Celebrity Centres. She devoted practically her whole adult life to the church, but passed away at the early age of 50.
So her whole life was dedicated to a cult and dies at 50 . What a waste of skin.
Sound of freedom
Why if so many people have reported her missing have the police not took it seriously?
My understanding is that she eventually met with police detectives and told them she was fine etc.
How much coercion happened for her to do that is unknown. Still, it apparently was enough that police had their hands tied to not look into it further, which would be considered harassment and leave them vulnerable to civil legal action.
