    I have completely copied you with the recesses and battening placement, my transit now looks like yours! Cheers for the idea and good effort with the videos

      Thank you! Glad it works out for you, plenty more videos. The flares and a nice amount of extra space

    Wow thanks for including the entire process, never would have know that tape would create that effect on the metal panels! I think painting the wood is also another viable option to sealing the wood inserts. Im grateful to view the procession in steps as Im not sure when to start the wiring.. if it goes in the vans crevices then insulation and then sealed in the walls behind silver bubble.. and conduit pulled out though cut outs? Seems hard to access later when sealed behind walls IDK? I will watch wiring video again.

      Wiring wise I ran Conduit first. Then did the walls and so on. Means later on during the wiring part I can just push wire into the conduit and it would pops out the other end of the wall.

      @@MispronouncedAdventures yes i did catch a little of that. Did you wire several different conduits on each side that all lead to the electric hub? I saw you had many going to that good looking electrical box.

      Yep. The whole van is wired with conduit and multiple runs. All eventually leading back to the electrical cupboard. Great for future proofing and when plans change during the build process having lots of conduit already run

    As great an insulator as PIR board is the lack of give it seems to have just puts me off. I can see myself using it in the floor and maybe the ceiling but not the curved walls, it would drive me mad. Oh & lovely work with those inserts.

      Yeah it’s was drive me mad as well. Floor was easy being flat. I could get away with a bit of a curve on the roof. Walls was trail and error, opted for flexible roof and station and then cover with flat PIR boards has work out for me.
      Some van models do have flat walls though but the transit definitely doesn’t

    Hi. I can’t seem to find a video of you ply lining the walls? What my ply did you use? Also the curve on the entrance to the sliding door. How did you lose that? Thanks

    • @MispronouncedAdventures
      @MispronouncedAdventures  Pƙed 3 lety

      There isn’t ply lining video yet. However it’s 5mm ply. With 3mm closed cell form on then a blue “ linen” like fabric ontop. All join together using trim fix spray adhesive.

      Curved entrance above the sliding door? As in the roof section? That’s in ep15

      Mispronounced Adventures ...hi many thanks....no the curved section I’m referring to is the right pillar as the sliding door opens. Thanks
