  • This episode is a part 2 of the wall insulation with PIR Insolation board and plastic bottle roof insulation. But I also want to make the van internally a little wider so I create some flare inserts. I also shows how I am doing a vapour barrier and do it in a few different ways. Getting the insulation of my van build right for keeping warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Nice, I was trying to think of the best way to increase the width, what you've done seems neat and simple, I shall be doing the same! Thanks for doing these videos, just the motivation I need for doing my van 👍

Glad you are enjoying the videos, lots more to come. Yeah it seems to me a good and easy way to add a little extra space. It’s almost 15cm between the inner and outer wall of the van in the rear. They are about 9cm deep each so will Space for a reasonable amount of installation behind.

@@MispronouncedAdventures Exactly, it seems so wasteful to just bolt a panel over and lose 30cm of width, in an already relatively small space. Cheers for the measurements 👌

Hi Alex, I'm going to shamelessly copy your framing design. What size battens did you use? Great series!

No problem at all. I hope it works out for you as well. Most of the blue batons at 25mm x 38mm roof battens for B&Q. I also used a few of the 25mm x 50mm for other parts
