I’ve never seen a more wholesome fisherman in my life. You can literally catch a 4 inch bluegill and catch a 15 pound channel catfish and still have the same level of excitement. And that’s so pure, that’s what fishing is about !

Was fishing today with my 5 year old son and ever time he had one on his reel he would automatically say "Fish On!" And then when we caught one he put them back in the water saying "See you later buddy!" This what happens when you have a child that likes your videos lol
You've gotten really good at that casting net. Sure does come in handy keeps costs down and let you have fresh bait at the beck and call.

Glad to a see a fellow angler who doesnt declare a national crisis when spotting a snake. They are 100% scared and harmless only if you do not step directly onto one. Love your videos man everytime I watch one I always go to the creek after its over haha.

I love spillway fishing. I have been fishing them since the early 80's. I have caught some very nice size fish, and almost a record walleye, it was 2 pounds under the state record. People back then thought I was crazy. Go figure

Great fun, as always! That was a great bowfin for such a little creek. I had a rod that belonged to a deceased friend and I broke the tip off. But because it had sentimental value I still fish with it 30 years later.

I was betting on a snake. That said, Nick kept fishing where I would have ran a 9 second 100 yd dash. Snakes do have a purpose, they make skin that I use when building fishing rods. Keep up the good work Nick, love your vids.

We call them "grinnel" down here. I like to reel one in...they fight like devils. But taking him off the hook ain't nobody'd idea of fun,,,they have teeth like a shark,
@@kennethpepper4967 Down here in Florida we call them mudfish. If we are crappie fishing and catch a mudfish we move at least a 1/4 mile away. There's never only one mudfish in an area.
You never disappoint that Creek was on fire for you buddy and don't feel so bad about breaking your the end of your fishing rod I've done it a couple of times myself I'm sure other people have to so just keep doing your great adventures and I'm a fan for life tell the next one
Sight-fishing is a blast no matter what species it is, nice job on that bowfin. You could tell he didn't like that one bit, fought really well, jumping, etc. Nice looking spillway and creek, I'd for sure enjoy seeing you return there again. Happy 4th all!
