Every time I see him travel 2 miles down a stream or walking threw chest high grass to catch some fish for us to watch I think damn that’s a lot of work and that I’m not the only crazy person who carry’s 20+ lbs of gear and live bait to get to the “good” spots. Not a bad day fishing at all for the August doldrums of high water temps and lethargic fish. It's pretty tough around here right now. Most of our fisheries are cool and/or cold water species. With hot weather, low snowpack in the spring, and scant rainfall since, our lower-elevation waters are warm and stagnant with algae blooms and heavy underwater vegetation. Tough fishing. Not your best day of fishing but still a cool video! I would like to see you fishing some lakes or bigger rivers one day and i am also wondering why you dont bring your kajak out any more? Maybe that would help next time to cover more water when the water level is that high.. i also would try some lures out aside from the cut baits and fish heads. Had the same thing happen to me with a soft shell 😂 was fishing a river for cats with pretty swift current and one took my bait and I thought I had a giant flathead, I was sadly mistaken lol
You mentioned some pretty severe poison ivy. My back yard has perfectly ungodly amount of the stuff, and I can't cut my grass without falling foul of it. So when I come in, I take a warm bath and a stiff hit of Benedryl. Works like the Judgement of God!!!
