I have a question that was on my mind for like 5 years, as an east european... why does 99% of the fish cooking in US involves fillet? Even when it's done with a skilled hand and tool it feels like a lot of waste and time. On a day to day meal, we usually cut it as medallions and the tail part as one piece.
My dad told me about your channel the other day. He said he talked my mom into saying "see ya later buddy" every time she released a fish. Im glad I started watching, you're definitely a pure, wholesome dude. Will definitely be watching all of your videos from now on.
"where gonna do a catch and cook, but I forgot a cutting board, a filet knife, seasonings, and I don't know how to put this stove together." Nothing like being prepared.
Should have ate that yellow bass. That was the best eating fish you caught and in general. White bass, Yellow bass. Black and white crappie. Good eating
Bro the fact you remain chill and optimistic is what keeps me coming back to every video. I just started watching your channel so I’ve been going back thru all your past vids. Great work man.
Video idea: catfish bait test. Go to a spot that you know is good for catfish, rig up a bunch of poles, and put a different type of bait on each (ie different species, live/dead, artificial, etc) and see which catches the most fish and is the winner.
Well done, I like that you cooked and ate what you caught, I catch and release as often as possible but occasionally we hook fish and they won't survive so...eat them, love the videos keep it up
I can truly respect this video....the rawness of it. The reality of fishing. Any real fisherman knows, we always forget something... Fish On from Camden,NJ
I enjoy the catch and cook videos. I keep a really sharp pocket knife in my gear...has a nice, locking 4" blade, and a fillet knife in a leather case. You could also just get a "Leatherman" tool. Plus...when you're at Walmart, go the the aisle with spices and get some Lemon Pepper seasoning. Walmart has their own brand in plastic shakers with a top, for .98¢. Spray some of that cooking spray on the fish then sprinkle on the lemon pepper. Works well on most fish.
freshwater drum is THE MOST underrated fish in my opinion. Smaller ones are delicious and they put up an amazing fight and hit just about anything. I have caught HUGE drum on swimbaits and jigs and even got them on my channel as well they hit like a train. That's so awesome you did a catch and cook on this species to shed a light on this tough and tasty fish!
Nick, you are great man... Keep up the amazing work! You are who I show to my kids and they love your channel! I got into micro fishing just because of you and it is so fun! Sincerely Thank You for what you do!
Love your videos! Question? Would you be able to make a video for us explaining how and what you rig up and give some fishing tips? I'm a beginner and would appreciate any new knowledge! Thanks, Keep On FIshin'!
Look up Carolina Rig i use the same rig for All types of large fish species specially Catfish & Walleye I use a steal leader with the rig instead of regular line going to the hook. Bait wise take a variety but honestly i haven't seen any fish that wouldn't go for a big nightcrawler. Even carp will bite nightcrawlers.
Drum are related to croakers and wreck fish. We get something similar called a Mulloway over in Australia that can up to 1.5 metres long and weigh 80lbs.
