Only downside is the lack of memory and no fail safe (more for Nitro), but great budget transmitter. The rechargeable battery capability is a + for me. But the multiple binding is great for additional RCs or project builds since the receivers are value and have 6 channels.
Thanks for the video. But dude, thirteen+ minutes before showing how to do it? For anyone curious. After connecting the receiver, you press the small button on the side of the receiver for three seconds to bind it to the transmitter. You press the same button three times quickly to enable the gyro. There you go, saved you fifteen minutes.
Thankyou. Awesome video. It was exactly what I was looking for. I learned everything I was trying to find out from this one video. Liked and subscribed. Simon. (Australia).
Thanks for watching and the support! Agreed, the response and range are great. Best budget tx and rx for electrics. You can pick up a rebrand rbr/c version for cheaper too, if you're good with 4channel. If it had a failsafe, it'd be great for Nitro too and the best.
Thanks for watching and for the support🤙! Agreed, these are solid value wheels, especially for 17mm. They sell them with different tire options too. Someone else on here mentioned he had a blowout ~50-60mph, I believe. I haven't had them up to that speed yet, but just a heads up.
@@motorheadaddictions2761 yeah most likely. I added duct tape on the inside before glueing them and now they are as good as hoons wheels. I’m surprised that the rims haven’t cracked even though I had horrible crashes going 68mph. Anyway had a look at your channel and it is awesome. You should have way more subs and views.
@@getsetdrone6921 Very much appreciated 🤙 and great tip on taping the wheels. I'll keep that in mind for future wheels. You're hitting some nice speeds too🤘 Cool peoples like you make this RC community 🤙 thanks again!
I'm building a drag car and decided to use my Dumbo radio for it. I bought a second receiver to use. For some reason when I bind it, the steering works fine but when I turn power off to car I lose binding to the esc. Any suggestions?
Are all the channels constantly powered? I hooked up lights to my dumbo an the switches don't turn the lights on or off. They just stay on. But putting on a servo it will work properly
Can I bind a 4ch controller with a 6ch transmitter, I bought 2 6ch not realizing I had the 4 ch controller. I'll order another 6ch controller eventually but to get by can I use the 4ch?
Sir,can you do a video on how to calibrate a dumbo rc transmitter, mine was not functioning normally,,before,it was normal but when i changed the esc,it mulfunctioned,,thank you
Cool video lots of great info. Hey question so, once you bind the TX RX, then you just turn on both and they work together? What about, can I go back and forth between cars. I saw you did maybe but I'm not so sure. Meaning that I could have all my cars on this one receiver with the caveat being, the trims and rates won't save, is this correct? Thanks bro.
Hi, I was just wondering if replacing just x6f reciecer for the one with the gyro would work on my JBL Cheetah. Or do i have to buy x6fg transmitter and reciever combo? Thanks.
Thanks for watching! The gyro will work if you just swap the RX, but you do need the 6ch TX to adjust the gyro sensitivity. Otherwise I'm guessing the default will be on medium setting. The adjustment is channel 6.
Thanks for the video which exactly reply to one of my two questions of these days. Now that this is clear for me I would like to know if with 2 Dumbo radios can I play with my son together binding two receivers (one for each radio) and have no interference? thanks for help
@@bipantera Sorry, I had missed the question. If I understood correctly, yes multiple RC cars(each programmed to their own DumboRC transmitters) can run at the same time with no interference. This applies for any 2.4ghz Transmitter and receiver.
Thanks for watching🤙 Yes, the gyro is built into the receiver. So you would get the x6f receiver instead of the x6fg(gyro). These will bind to the DumboRC x4 - x6 transmitters. If you don't need 6ch control, the x4 is a bit cheaper and you can still use ch5 and 6 in the receivers as aux.
@@motorheadaddictions2761 thank you very much I'm building some wpl kits and I'm using dumbo in my 1/10 so id like to keep the controller numbers down!😂😂😂
Thanks for watching! Yes, the TX and Rx have to be the same brand. Note that other companies rebrand this DumboRC set, and they can be paired. Just look at the designs.
Thanks for watching! Haven't had that issues before but I came across this in a arrma forum. Most mentioned.low battery, but one guys had a servo issue. Otherwise, I'd try reprogramming the Tx. Hope this helps🤙 www.arrmaforum.com/threads/dumborc-transmitter-help.32792/#js-post-452263
Thanks for watching! If it's a dumboRC version TX, yes. Many of the larger ZD racing models and other brands come with the dumboRC TX, some may have other stickers tho. Just look at the ID.
It's a great transmitter and receiver setup. Awesome response and range and only take 4aa🤙 Can also bind to multiple receivers. I highly recommend picking up extras, ~$10 w/gyro(especially since you have the 6ch.), for your other RCs or future builds.
Thanks for watching🤙 hope this helps! I haven't had that issue but read about some that have. Some mentioned low batteries, calibration needed(video on yt for that), or worst case bad servo. Here's a forum link to that one. www.arrmaforum.com/threads/dumborc-transmitter-help.32792/
@@motorheadaddictions2761 Strange enough it stop sometimes. Maybe because i used 2 different receivers? BTW if i have powered up both receivers at the same time the work also at the same time. :)
I think it'll only bind to one, whichever it picks up first. Hope the flashing thing gets resolved, I bet that gets annoying. I run 2 of the 6ch Tx, on for my drift cars and the other for my TCs and SCTs that I run gyros in. Both have a couple RX binded, haven't had any issues yet. Just annoying to reset the trims and settings. My FlySky is good for the memory, but their gryo RX cost much more than the DumboRC
@@motorheadaddictions2761 I am a beginner with RC and like it a much. I need to say that i have official the Surpass Hobby variant. But i has really working that the remote control 2 receivers at the same time after power up. :) And it's a lot better than the stock RC i got by my WPL D12. I now just waiting for a brushless set and accesoires to put it in the WL 124018. I can't wait for it. :)
Sorry I have another question if I don't disturb. The speed limiter is 50/75/100% like spektrum or 0 to 100% potentiometer like WLToys 12428? Can the steering end point be regulated?
No problem. Not sure I understand the question, but I can confirm that the DumboRC has more adjustments (st and throttle trim + st and th rate + rev switch for both) than the Wltoys Transmitter (only steering trim and throttle rate). Trigger sweep is 70%fwd/30%rev. Hope this helps.
@@motorheadaddictions2761 thanks for replying. Questions are two 1) to set the max speed is there a continuous fine tuning like 12428 or step by step like Spektrum (e.g. 25/50/75/100%) anyway it strong brakes with everything setting? Our ECX AXE / BRUTUS at 50% speed (the minimum) have no brakes because they are too weak. 12428 at mid speed the brake brakes! 2) steering end point can be set?

The downside to having one TX bound to many rc cars is that you don't have the option to let other people drive your cars.
That's the number one rule never hand over your radio.. 😊
Thanks for this , I have 2 Dumbo transmitters and didn’t realize I could just use one.

@@motorheadaddictions2761 there is fail safe but it does not apply brake system. It will only make your throttle to be neutral instead of braking.
