On January 16, the TIXR streaming platform hosted an online concert DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW, where the artist performed 'SOS D'un Terrien En Détresse'. Dimash Qudaibergen performed the song "SOS" in the 1st round of the Chinese contest" I am a Singer " in 2017. The next day, more than 600 million viewers learned about Dimash.

You just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive (Dee-Mosh). He’s 27 yrs old, from Kazakhstan, sings in 15 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments, has multiple degrees in music (classical and contemporary) and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps). His biggest musical influence is Michael Jackson (which you can hear in several of his pop songs). He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021, "Ikanaide" 2021, "Ave Maria" 2021, "Adagio" 2017, "Daybreak" at Bastau 2017, "Diva Dance" at Bastau. Each performance will leave you stunned. BTW, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder and Jamie Foxx may be able to hit that F5 sharp in falsetto, but I don't think they can in a mixed voice (like Dimash does in this performance). Other people have given good comments but I will try to help out a little with some of your questions. Dimash is turning 28yrs old at the end of this month.... he is from Kazakhstan and he did study Opera as well as contemporary and jazz music. He's been was in music school starting from age 5. Actually, he has already gotten a master's degree in music composition and is currently going for his Doctorate right now. He was offered a place in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan. Although he was honored he turned it down because his path in life is more about mixing genres of music and blending traditional Kazakh music with pop that's mixed with opera. Dimash has his own vision so singing Opera alone wasn't the right path for him. He sings in many styles, many genres, and many languages.... you haven't seen anything yet, i promise you.
Let me explain how you say his name. I'm going to write this for others who may read this as well....so forgive me for being detailed. (Dimash Qudaibergen = Димаш Құдайберген)
In the Kazakh language, letters only ever have one kind of sound. All A's have an AH sound like the A in Father.
The "i" is tricky because in Kazakh it's written like a backward N or и this letter always has a long E sound like Pizza.
So Dimash is pronounced like Dee-mahsh .
Sometimes you will see his last name spelled with a K and sometimes with a Q this letter for his last name is actually Қ with that little mark on the bottom. In Kazakh language, they have Қ and K both. Қ is harder than K so they signify this by using the Q. Don't worry about saying it harder but I just want to explain why they use a Q sometimes.
Next, U (ұ) has an sound like Foot or Book... or also the sound in Could. (but not food as that's a different letter)
Now.... for the "ai" (ай) sound..... ai paired together make a long i sound.... same sound as in Kite or Dye.
Last vowel we have to talk about is the "e" .... they always have a short e sound like Den or Ten.
HOWEVER..... er pairing has the same vowel sound as Air but with the r rolled.
so his last name Qudaibergen would rhyme with Could-eye-bear-gen (hard g as in gun)

Thank you. I have been following Dimash's career (from North America) for about 5 years now. He is a well educated, experienced and phenomenal singer and performer. So, please Don't take this the wrong way, but in 2022, Dimash has over 10M fans in at least 130 countries. I do not understand people not knowing about Dimash... Are they living under a rock?
He sings in more than 12 languages, in any genre opera, pop, rap, rock, ballad, folk, classical, RnB..... Trained and have degrees in classical and contemporary music and now pursuing his doctorate in musicology. You will not go wrong with any of his performance, all of them are amazing👍👍👍👍.

He does write amazing songs but SOS is a cover from a French Rock Opera Show from the 70’s. ALL performances are amazing, you’ll be shocked at every one! He sings Opera being classically trained since age 5 (he’s 28 on May 24th 2022) He sings all genres including Rap. He’s also a brilliant dancer! He’s also an amazing instrumentalist (he plays 7 instruments). The greatest vocalist of ALL time. He sings in 13 languages including lots in English. Great reaction! I love how you stopped right in the middle of the song to subscribe to Dimash's page without even waiting for the end! Don't worry about rewinding, I think we are all happy to get to watch the best bits over again! All of his songs are great! As others have probably said by now, Dimash began his musical training at the age of 5 (though as his mom is an opera singer, someone has said that it really began in the womb!) He was classically trained from age 15 -22 or thereabouts. His last name is pronounced Coo-die-bare-gyen with the accent on the last syllable and very appropriately translates as "gift of God" or "given by God". You can double check the pronunciation by watching videos where he is being introduced. In China they call him Dee-mash-ee (accent on the last syllable). Some of my favourites are "Qairan Elim" (Kazakh) the music video version which he co-directed, "Samultau" (Kazakh) the digital concert version and "Ikanaide" (Japanese) Tokyo Jazz Festival version. You should definitely watch "Sinful Passion" (Russian) and "Stranger" (English). A fun music video is "Be With Me" (English) which is sort of a comedy/action mini-movie. In this he raps in Kazakh! Dimash speaks Kazakh, Russian and quite a bit of English and knows some Chinese also as he lived and worked there for several years. He has sung in about 13 languages I believe. OGNI PIETRA "Olimpico" is an opera song by Dimash. It is an epic performance and should be in a movie, game, or show like Game of Thrones. I highly recommend reacting to SINFUL PASSION, ADAGIO, OR other songs from 2017 & 2018, before going to his more recent performances. It is wonderful to watch his maturity of voice and performances over the last five years.
Regarding "Ogni Pietra - Olimpico", pick the version on Igor Krutoy's channel (the song's composer, who is very famous and came out of retirement just to collaborate with Dimash). It's the best version, but it has captions only in Italian. So, search the English translation first to get the gist of what the song is about.

Dimash turned down an offer to sing at the best Opera house in his country (Kazakhstan - Astana Opera). He was classically trained, but loves to do his own thing, a sort of cross-over style, he uses techniques from various genres to express his musicality.

Tip just the very tip of what he can do. He sings in many languages, speaks two Kazakh and Russian fluently while speaking English better every day. Please check out Dimash, Sinful Passion which is in Russian but has subtitles, but in English, Stranger, Fly Away, Be With Me for starters. You will see every genre of music with Dimash as he can not be put into a box. You will see MJ vibe in Be With Me MV because he is a huge fan of MJ. There are so many, do them all .

Lots of info below for you I see, pick any song off his channel, you won't be disappointed. His traditional Kazakh folk songs are amazing as well. He has several concerts on his channel and has packed out stadiums in a number of countries but covid put a halt on those, which is why he did this digital concert last Jan 2021 for his fans of which, there are millions worldwide, and which he calls Dears:) He's just completed his Arnau tour and promises new concerts to come. Btw he's an independent artist, DimashAli belongs to him and his Father who is his Manager. His Mother/Father are famous singers in Kazakhstan, it's a very musical family and he's been on the stage since he was 5 years old:) He has composed his own music too. Yes he has been trained not only in opera but also in pop, jazz, traditional, also in musical composition, playing musical instruments (he can play 7 instruments), as well as stage performance and much much more. He has an over 7 octave range and can sing in all registers from baritone to whistle (highest note so far is D8 held for 5 seconds with vibrato). He is a cross-genre artist and sings any kind of style, often mixing them up in the same song. You have already seen in this single performance he mixed pop with an operatic note and a metal style rock scream and also added other elements such as melismas (runs), crecendos/decrecendos/glissandos, and increasing/decreasing the flow of air from soft and breathy to strong and powerful (listen carefully to the very last note of SOS, he even does it there). He paints his songs with vocal colours that match the words and takes you on a journey to another place.
He is magnificent. He is hypnotising. He is shocking. He is unbelievable. He is the best in the world.
This is a guy who is incredibly humble and respectful to all people, very dedicated to his art, very hard working, very disciplined. He trains and improves constantly. You have so much more to discover and to look forward to.

He is now almost 28 years old and has improved even more since then (his English is better too now - then he was learning English songs phonetically). Other than his mother language of Kazakh, he can speak Russian fluently, and is studying Chinese (Mandarin) and English. He can sing in 14 different languages. He was offered a place at the Astana Opera (Kazakhstan) but turned it down as he didn't want to spend his life singing just one style.
