On January 16, the TIXR streaming platform hosted an online concert DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW, where the artist performed 'SOS D'un Terrien En Détresse'. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize your so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. This particular version comes from the Dimash Digital Show put on during the pandemic after all live concerts were cancelled and he had to cut his Arnau Tour short. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and he will be 29 years old on the 23rd. of May. He is the best voice I have heard in my 74 years. He sings all styles of music, but Classical Crossover is how he defines his style. He is a composer, plays several instruments and sings in 15+ languages. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and pretty good English. I recommend you to use subtitles when you listen to songs in a language you are not familiar. These are a few recommendations.

What’s up Jimmy? I found Dimash less than a week ago. I would recommend watching his 2017 performance on the Chinese talent show called I Am A Singer. It’s when he was discovered. After his appearance, the show had to provide him with a security detail…instant overnight fame. He was the only foreigner and the youngest ever on the show and unknown in China. The looks on the other contestants faces are priceless.

That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. Please don't exaggerate! No way SOS is a warm up song! Dimash obviously invests a great vocal effort into singing it and it's one of the most beautiful and difficult songs out that he himself holds very important and is identified with. Dee-mosh (like a mosh-pit) is how you would say it phonetically, not like mashed potatoes. Born May 24, 1994 so currently 28 soon to be 29 yr old male from Kazakstan, which smack in the middle of Europe and Asia, right under Russia. He sings in over a dozen languages, this song being in French. He speaks Kazakh and Russian very fluently and his English is much improved now and speaks a smattering of Mandarin Chinese. He is classically trained in vocals with 2 bachelors degrees (Bel Canto-Opera and Contemporary Music-Pop/Jazz) with a Masters Degree in Music Composition and hes working on Doctoral thesis, in music of course. He also plays a bunch of instruments as well. Hes 6 foot 3, so hes a very tall fella. Quite trim as he tends to exercise everyday (body and voice) and hes probably one of the most grounded, humblest people on the planet. Loves his family, friends and Dears (his fans).

He doesn't play 9 instruments, speak 25 languages, sing in 18 and boy they're out there 😂 He IS a creative genius, a homeboy and MAY be the best vocalist on the planet. He is the best showman and technically he can hit every note on a piano and higher meticulously, transition flawlessly from octave and note to note. Astonishing. P
