Speaking of Freddie Mercury, Dimash did a cover of "The Show Must Go On". This was back before he spoke English so he just learned it according to the sounds. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and has been studying music since he was 5. He did train as a classical (opera) singer but also studied jazz and pop music. He is 28 now and speaks Kazakh, Russian and a good deal of English. He sings in over 13 languages and in many genres. One of his favourite singers in Michael Jackson.

In 2017 Dimash was invited as a wild card to a Chinese talent show and SOS was the first out of 12 songs he performed. This french song is very difficult and was featured in the rock opera Starmania, dealing with depression and suicide. It is also surrounded by tragedy, involving the deaths of three very young men, one of them a good friend of Dimash. If you look close, you can see the pain and emotion in his face. It launched him into international fame and became his signiture song. You are at the start of an amazing journey into the world of this stunning artist. I'm going to recommend Sinful Passion, Love is like a Dream, Love of Tired Swans. He has English songs but I just prefer those. ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO WATCH HIS VIDEOS TO THE END OF HIS SINGING. 👍 A lot of Singers from the East use silences to build the tension. Many Dears are also Martians (fans of Chinese singer Hua Chenyu). Hua Hua sings Rock, Rap, Metal, Reggae, Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Broadway, Ballads, Traditional Chinese and on and on. Not in my personal Top 50 Hua Chenyu Performances, but recommend "Nunchucks" to see some of his abilities. I prefer his Rock songs. You mentioned Freddie Mercury. It's so wonderful that you have discovered Dimash at last. Not so many people in the West know about him although the number is growing, mainly through social media. He did a concert in New York before the pandemic hit which was a huge success though, and was sold out with people coming from over 60 countries from all over the world. Dimash is 28 years old and is from Central Asia, from a large country called Kazakhstan (it's about a half to a third the size of the US). He's been singing since he was a baby and started vocal and musical training at age 5. He lives and breathes music and can play multiple instruments too. Due to training his voice daily he was able to keep his boys soprano register and can pass through all the vocal breaks from bass, through tenor, soprano and into whistle tone completely seamlessly, through more than 7 octaves. By the time he was a young teenager he was winning singing competitions all over the Eastern world. He became famous in 2017 after competing in a Chinese singing competition for professional singers called 'I Am Singer'. Although he only came second, once the Chinese public heard his voice for the first time they fell in love, and every episode with Dimash singing increased his fame. He even lost his voice at one point and had to have injections in his throat to be able to perform, then he went on stage and did an incredible performance even though he said afterwards it was like singing with broken glass in his throat. In the competition he even learned to sing a Chinese song in a week. He had to sing it phonetically becaue he couldn't speak the language, but apparently he did it well. In that competition he sang songs in Mandarin, Kazakh, French, Russian, English and Italian. Through the competition he became a star in China with over 600 millions fans. It was the turning point in his career. He sings everything, including contemporary opera, rap, pop, rock, jazz, R&B, ballads, musical theatre, ethnic traditional, film themes, video game themes and more. And he mixes vocal styles from different genres in almost every song, going from soft delicate breathy styles through powerful operatic singing, rock belting, middle eastern melismas, deep vocal frys to a soaring 'female' soprano. Every time he sings he connects deeply with the emotions of the song. It's like he sings it from his soul. He reaches out to touch us. His duets with famous singers from the Eastern world are legendary and can drag us (sometimes rather ignorant!) Dude, I've been listening to Dimash for over 4 years and have loved watching reaction videos. You, my friend, have the best. You hit the nail on the head. He is the "Avatar." I've never heard that before but that's the description I've been looking for. Not only are his vocal abilities unmatched as you just heard. He has this brilliant gift of physically becoming the emotions what ever piece he's performing is wanting to convey. Beautiful Reaction. Dimash is the greatest vocalist on the Planet. No doubt about that. Dears (his fans) will pile into any reaction you do of Dimash. I'm going to recommend Sinful Passion, Love is like a Dream, Love of Tired Swans. He has English songs but I just prefer those. ALWAYS MAKE SURE TO WATCH HIS VIDEOS TO THE END OF HIS SINGING. 👍 A lot of Singers from the East use silences to build the tension.
Many Dears are also Martians (fans of Chinese singer Hua Chenyu). Hua Hua sings Rock, Rap, Metal, Reggae, Pop, SynthPop, Electronic, Broadway, Ballads, Traditional Chinese and on and on. Not in my personal Top 50 Hua Chenyu Performances, but recommend "Nunchucks" to see some of his abilities. I prefer his Rock songs. You mentioned Freddie Mercury. You know, I've been watching reactions to Dimash's singing from people across the world for the past 5 years - and now that Americans are just beginning to discover him - I have to say I love the Americans' reactions, like yours, most of all. Your reaction was so raw, so genuine, and you just lay it out straight, "I've never seen anything like this." I love the fact that almost every American reactor I've seen so far is not timid about asking the question, 'Is this guy an angel?!' Because we know that sometimes 'we entertain angels unaware.' I'm so happy that America is finally starting to discover Dimash. Who can sing like him? No one on earth so far.

Well, this is good but, in the words of an old Bachman-Turner Overdrive song, "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet." And, believe me, you ain't seen nothin' yet! Dimash has been a worldwide sensation for the past six years and is currently in Los Angeles meeting with legendary Grammy-winning producers. So I expect that he is about to explode on the American scene as well. Long overdue.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. It's so wonderful that you have discovered Dimash at last. Not so many people in the West know about him although the number is growing, mainly through social media. He did a concert in New York before the pandemic hit which was a huge success though, and was sold out with people coming from over 60 countries from all over the world.
Dimash is 28 years old and is from Central Asia, from a large country called Kazakhstan (it's about a half to a third the size of the US). He's been singing since he was a baby and started vocal and musical training at age 5. He lives and breathes music and can play multiple instruments too. Due to training his voice daily he was able to keep his boys soprano register and can pass through all the vocal breaks from bass, through tenor, soprano and into whistle tone completely seamlessly, through more than 7 octaves. By the time he was a young teenager he was winning singing competitions all over the Eastern world. He became famous in 2017 after competing in a Chinese singing competition for professional singers called 'I Am Singer'. Although he only came second, once the Chinese public heard his voice for the first time they fell in love, and every episode with Dimash singing increased his fame. He even lost his voice at one point and had to have injections in his throat to be able to perform, then he went on stage and did an incredible performance even though he said afterwards it was like singing with broken glass in his throat. In the competition he even learned to sing a Chinese song in a week. He had to sing it phonetically becaue he couldn't speak the language, but apparently he did it well. In that competition he sang songs in Mandarin, Kazakh, French, Russian, English and Italian. Through the competition he became a star in China with over 600 millions fans. It was the turning point in his career.
He sings everything, including contemporary opera, rap, pop, rock, jazz, R&B, ballads, musical theatre, ethnic traditional, film themes, video game themes and more. And he mixes vocal styles from different genres in almost every song, going from soft delicate breathy styles through powerful operatic singing, rock belting, middle eastern melismas, deep vocal frys to a soaring 'female' soprano. Every time he sings he connects deeply with the emotions of the song. It's like he sings it from his soul. He reaches out to touch us.
His duets with famous singers from the Eastern world are legendary and can drag us (sometimes rather ignorant!) Westerners into a completely unknown world of music, exciting us, delighting us and blowing our minds all in one go.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He has a glorious voice...can sing 6 octaves, in many languages. He follows the Muslim faith. If you have the opportunity...he sings a Christian song 'Ave Maria' (no words just pure feeling vocalisation in the worship of God) and I believe he worked on the song with a Jewish musician.
He has an astounding gift... embodying both male and female qualities in his voice... deep and powerful, exquisitely high and heartrending, fragile and delicate, sweeping and grand, small and sibilant and heartfelt.
