The fact that they developed technology to film mocap underwater is in and of itself absolutely incredible. Say what you will about Avatar's story, but there is genuine passion that you can feel went into it. Also, the fact that this film largely takes place in an ocean environment, and knowing how deep of a connection Cameron has to our oceans, makes me incredibly excited as well.
Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or serious.
I truly dont understand why people dislike the story. It's almost an archetypical story and it always work, no matter how many movies repeat it.
@@satiriak bruh
@@bernardmolan2976 Sounds pretty serious and I agree with them. why would it be sarcasm? the story is a joke but the passion and technology is amazing
Story was fine
Saw this in theatres, during 'Doctor Strange', I was shocked they showed a trailer in theatres instead of releasing it online, was very hyped
same watched the tailer in 3D, waas fkn amazing, i felt like a kid again
Same. I knew a sequel was coming but it was so cool to see it in theaters. I've been yearning for a sequel since I saw the first movie.
@@krown551 I was also saw the trailer in theaters when watching doctor strange and it felt similar to the avatar 3d ride in Disney world
It's the best way to do it tbh.
It give it more hype
Something you might have missed: the 3 notes that are repeated are ‘main notes’ of Leona Lewis’s ‘I see you’, which was on the original soundtrack of Avatar
Kate Winslet plays Ronal, yes, but that was Kiri you showed in the video at 03:59 played by Sigourney Weaver. Kate Winslets character shows up at 04:15 to the left.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned this in the comment section yet, wow.
I don't care if the script is bad (which I doubt), I haven't seen it yet, but something where Avatar wins is the design, and the appreciation of art, it makes you want to be there in that magical and beautiful place. If there is a heaven I wish it was similar to Pandora.
Yes it is true everyone is talking about the visual art of Avatar... 🤔what's so special I'm unaware about it.
What about this 'bad script' ? The original script was a simple one coz that was the Aim of the director..to make it as simple as possible to attract people all over the world. Not everyone can understand sophisticated science theories.
@@nilesh7790 watch the movie duh
@Himanshu Kumar what is your problem with script I mean not only you so many people here typing same. None of my friends or relatives as well as foreign friends complain about avatar script. It completely beyond our imagination. The animals and bonding,a planet with magnetic induction with realistic aliens. When I watch it 1st time I'm a kid I watch it like a cartoon movie but recently a year ago I downloaded it in 4k and watched it. It blowed away my mind. I became fan of this movie and this director.
Would've been more interesting as a video game honestly
The trees with exposed roots are greatly reminiscent of Mangrove trees, found on earth. Very cool tree and one of the greatest natural environmental defenses and carbon sinks.
Yoda's crib is one on Dagobah.
yep, hello from Florida :)
I CANNOT wait for this movie to come out. Catch me in the theaters seeing it probably about 3 or 4 times. I remember seeing the first one like 5 times in theaters
same
LIAR!!!!! *Anakin VC*
Same here, this looks incredible
Same here!!
Haha I’m gonna watch it in 3D IMAX with my boys then again that same day with my wife and daughter on a normal screen. Most likely will watch 3-4 times overall like Part 1. 😅😅😅
If the CGI is this good now, I can only imagine what Avatar 5 in 2028 is gonna look like.
Facts
And it’s honestly no excuse for other film makers can make cgi look good
@@urban_chameleon6061 i mean, an excuse would be money. im pretty sure all avatar movies have gotten a budget over 200+ million each.
lol you mean 2058 with the rate they release these films
The same it’s only 6 years away not 60😂😂😂 want be a big difference
The main reason the production has taken so long is that Cameron needed to wait for technology regarding mocap for underwater scenes to develop to the point it has. Absolutely cannot wait.
He actually got sick of waiting and developed it himself.
Didn’t pirates of the Caribbean have scenes like that ?
Yeh he said it in the vid
Actually, he didn't wait for it to develop. He simply did the developing himself
always the same excuses for Cameron tbh x)
Loved the design and aesthetic of the first movie with the beautiful world and beasts that reside within it so I can’t wait to see this aquatic take on the Navi
This franchise is just incredible! I was 6 when the first one came out and can’t wait to see this one! Definitely in IMAX!
I watched the first one as a kid tons of times with my dad. I was 3/4 So hyped
I was 24 when I saw it and thought "meh." The 3d tech was pretty cool. If I was a kid like you I probably would have had a different perspective. I don't see these films being nearly as successful as the first.
There are only 2 genders.
@@MisterDevos fax
6 jeez must’ve been incredible!!
I love water and the fact that majority of it takes place in the ocean or around it is just absolutely amazing, I love that they actually filmed underwater I am going to be seeing this movie like 4-5 times in theaters
Looks incredibly immersive. Let's just hope the script is on par with the visuals.
Cool
Well, the first one's wasn't, so i am not expecting much.
@@DruidEnjoyerI liked the writing of the first one........
@@xalkieran basic and too much Pocahontasish
Unobtainium being unobtainable is what broke the script in the first one, tbh. Bit too much on the nose
Had to watch the first movie after seeing this is coming out, and I have to say the story and production is outstanding! I really liked seeing Jake be able to live in life walking again while under the control of his avatar. And the fact he was able to develop a relationship with Neytiri shows he was meant to be an avatar and lead the people! Can’t wait to see him as a full time avatar in the next movie 🔥
Wait, you barely watched the first movie? Like for the first time?
You mean full Navi ? 😊
@Latest Obsession good thing opinions exist 😂😎
@@giovannijiminez7858 full avatar apart of the Navi yes. You have to remember he is still in his avatar’s body just now turned into a full time position.
@Latest Obsession I thought the story was great… the military was going in there for their own personal enjoyment to get rich but Jake going in there and discovering how good the Navi really was and enjoying their lifestyle he realized he wanted to help them not destroy them. We have opinions lol
Seeing this in IMAX 3D before Multiverse of Madness really hammered home the difference between filming IN 3D and/or IMAX and converting the movie afterwards. MoM looked good, but this trailer reached out and grabbed you.
The first one was all about the air dragons, then this is about water, the next one is about seeds (in the earth)…
AIR, WATER, EARTH…
AVATAR! 😂
The next one... Fire ?
@@BakaryD Then 5 - Spirit
so technically...
Avatar 1 is just the beginning.
Avatar 2 is Water... (the way of water)
Avatar 3 is Earth... (the SEED Bearer)
Avatar 4 is Air... (The TULKUN Rider )
Avatar 5 is Fire... (The Quest for Eywa)
I am so excited!!!
Everything will change once the Fire Nation attacks.
Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.
"this family is our fortress"
this would've been corny and throwaway when i was younger
but nowadays, it hits lol
I think it’s a great line.
When this trailer came on in the theater, I was so shocked that I didn't believe it was real at first. It has been so long since the first Avatar, so I was not expecting a trailer at all, but it was so amazing to watch on the big screen!
There's likely completely different races all over Pandora, considering we've only explored a single geographical area. The Na'vi may not be the only intelligent species.
I'm sure they'll explore it a hell of a lot more in the other movies, we'll definitely be seeing Jake Sully on earth again but all Avatar'd out😂😂
@@bloodknight2132 Owning humanity XD
i wanna see green navi now
The fact that this movie franchise will be in production till 2028 blows my mind. Literally 20 years. Only after one movie they've got a theme ride at Disney world. They've been cooking up an entire universe within this franchise for the last 10 years. Seriously can't wait!
Even better they have a whole 'world' in Disney...2 rides, green spaces, restaurant, gift shop with more rides planned for the future. I'm so excited for all of the future films!
Love the attention to detail with everything especially with the physical difference between the bodies of the omaticaya and the Metkayina. I just noticed that in addition to the skin colors, patterns, body shapes, the metkayina seem to wear their hair out instead of braided like a lot of the omaticaya! Feeds into that tropical vibe! 😍💙
Me too! I also love the little detail that the Metkayina have bigger eyes, possibly to help with seeing in darker areas?
@@tsuntoruk4232 I was wondering about that too! But I thought maybe I was just seeing things. They look so beautiful!
Also pretty sure the Omaticaya all have golden eyes while at least some of the Metkayina seem to have green & blue eyes.
@@skyeiron5872 right??? 😍
When this dropped in the theaters before multiverse, I was blown away. I just cannot believe I am now living in the next era of Avatar! So hyped for all these movies
I don't really care about these films that much, but after seeing the trailer in theaters, I think this will be one of the greatest visual masterpieces in film history.
I don’t really care much for them either. Despite being visually stunning I don’t think Avatar deserves to be the highest grossing movie of all time.
@@fandomjuice7521 Sure the story is shitty but the amount of effort poured into world building and speculative biology is what makes it good for most people.
@@claggor1070 fair
@@fandomjuice7521 it becomes the highest grossing film for a reason.. It shows that most people love the movie..
@@fandomjuice7521 It literally earns the spot...
Avatar 2 looks amazing!!! And the ocean is terrifying, but fascinating as well, so I am very excited to see how this turns out!
I love how they showed no speaking just the beautiful visuals wich made avatar so groundbreaking
The fact that 2028 is just 6 years from now is blowing my mind
So in hindsight it wasn't Ronal, it was Kiri
I feel like Cameron is now just making an extraterrestrial Planet Earth documentary series
6:42 Notice the water tribe has blue eyes, but the forest tribe has brown/ yellow eyes
Ahhh I couldn't quite make out what was different!
can we just think about how there’s gonna be 5 movies in total like that’s honestly mind blowing at least to me and makes me super excited for the future
My God!The vibes im getting from this trailer are off the charts!!
I don’t care *if it doesn’t shatter records* or make enough money on a return.. we’ve become way too attentive of the Box Office figures in recent years - like it’s a reflection of how good a movie is.
Agreed
But for a movie with such huge budget, it needs to make some profit for the sequels to happen.
In a big way it kind of is
@@upol007 This is the only reason that I care about box office performance.
Yupp with the oversaturation of content these days plus the short turnaround from Theatres to streaming just makes less necessary to rush out the first weekend to see a movie and it have a #1 Box office record breaking weekend.
So hyped for this, such a long wait.
I just can't get enough of the theme.. it's so beautifully composed.. it has its roots from "I See You" from the first film but it's layered up & just fantastic.
This was an EXCELLENT commentary for true Avatar fans! I'm so impressed with your attention to the insane details of the special effects. I'm obsessssssed, want to be one of those "Blue People" so bad!!!
7:47 I never knew I needed this.
I’m so excited. Can’t even express my excitement. Avatar is my absolute favorite movie of all time. I watch it every couple months because it’s just sooo good. This next one better hold the hype because I need more amazing avatar story telling
The trees seen in the trailer remind me of Cypress or Mangrove Trees
I just came out of a screening, Cameron has done it again, terminating his decade-old husk with yet another record-setting sequel that no iceberg is gonna sink🤘🏽
Great video, but that’s not Ronal! That’s Tuktirey! Ronal is the green goddess looking na’vi who also seems to be pregnant in multiple shots beside Cliff Curtis’s character, Tonowari. 💙💚
With the 3D IMAX and Cinemark effects of '09 can you imagine the absolutely gorgeous and amazing pretty effects and now I can hardly wait
I might not be the biggest fan of the story of avatar but when you can make blue animations feel more real than real life people is absolutely insane
I've been waiting for this movie for years
Been waiting for this for 13 years😭🔥
Good video, but the pronounciation for Quaritch and Eywa killed me.
07:46 Huh, ok... But, don't you people think he also kinda looks like Jake? So, what if it turns out that the bad guys in the sequel made a clone fusing jake's and quaritch's DNA to kinda decieve the Na'vi by having an "evil" Jake that's creating chaos and confusion amongst the tribes? Obviously, even if the body looks like that of Jake, the mind is entirely that of Quaritch and he's hellbent on revenge.
Yep, I thought they made a clone of jake possessed by evil Colonel.
I did think that but I'm not sure if that would work... Like the only reason why Jake could join the program was because he was genetically very very similar to his twin, that's why he's able to control his avatar... So I don't think that Quaritch could just log in to a Jake Avatar clone without needing some serious modifications, because otherwise the avatar wouldn't really be compatible...
Looking forward seeing Avatar 2 the Water 💧 way
Pretty sure at 6:54 it’s Kiri not Ronal but we will find out when we watch it I guess
Seeing this movies in 4DX is a MUST
I was really hoping you would do one for this trailer. Thank you. You are the best at this!
After 13 years… This animation is still top notch! Cannot wait for this sequel!
It's not that much better than the first one 13 years ago.
@@billvallely4835 had no idea you were the chosen one to see the full movie rendition before the entire planet. You da boss
@@billvallely4835 R u blind? This is light years better
@@kaiphan1346 I believe you're looking for something that's just not there. The first Avatar was a revolution in animation. This is an improvement around the edges.
@@billvallely4835 If you look at each frame of the shot you can see the detail, the lighting, the cinematography, everything. Everything just looks so perfect and it would look even better on Imax
Avatar 5 should keep their title “The Quest for Eywa” it sounds so badass!!
JUSTTT as I needed you to brighten up my day here you are Voss 🤘🏽
So, so, so beautiful.
Quatrich keeping his military haircut is such an interesting detail! It really shows his arrogance and refusal to actually connect with the world because it means he also either cut his queue or had his body specifically created without one! Thanks for pointing his haircut out!
Makes me wonder how different would it turn out if Jake's brother never died
The background song is driving me crazy 😍😍❤
I’m very excited to watch this I’ve been waiting so long for this! It’s going to be amazing
I'm very excited for this. The first Avatar film is still in my top 10 favorite movies of all time. Can't wait!
I repeated the close up of neytiri so many times just to see all the details..the half blink was so realistic..the eyes & lips movement..everything in that single close up alone, amazed me..ooh i can't wait to see this movie..
Thanks for directing attention to the trailers score.
I was waiting forever for this video. Thank you 😬
When i see the ocean, i say tatakae, tatakae
(Rumbling plays in the background)
This movie gonna win oscar
This is visually one of the best trailers I have ever seen
I have always felt connected to the water and the ocean and this movie is going to be so visually satisfying for me to see😍 it’s been 12 years and i feel like i can hardly wait 6 more months😭

Fast 10 going to space and helping the Avatars
They are in the same universe 😅

Well know I'm even more hyped up to see just how vast this is going to expand, I mean that's a lot of upcoming movies. 🤯

Thanks for the info
It's so vibrant, it's beautiful!
I had no idea that was Quaritch and if it is I’m hype. He was a badass villain in the first movie
This was soo satisfying see on the big screen in been a while since avatar an I wonder what they do abt the tree being gone or if they’ll just drop that part of the plot but otherwise I think we got a 9/10 here so far and I really hope they don’t do like a time jump without showing a little stuff in between
This looks so good.
Was waiting for this since the trailer came out!
This is going to be so good
I loved the first one, can't wait for this one. It looks amazing
Cameron: " You should see our slate of Avatar movies....all the way to 2028!"
Feige: "Hold my drink..."
The Tree theme seems to be carried over by the World Tree idea in the 1st movie, and these look like huge MANGROVES, trees with their exposed roots going into saltwater/ocean regions like found in the Philippines.
my thearte had issues showing the trailer (kept flashing footage every 2 seconds) but i was still blown away
I've watched the movie in 2011 and loved it I even have some figurines that are no longer available and now this its a work of art
The connection they have with their environment is so reminiscent of Eumelanin's relationship with the Electromagnetic Spectrum...
The soldier Navi’ who have their hair cut are good symbolism of severing spiritual ties to the nature of the planet and basically spirituality in general
Which is dumb, if true, because it's literally throwing away an advantage (out of spite) and as soldiers they would understand you take every advantage in a conflict. Especially Quaritch.
@@grayden4138 - Only the sides of their heads are shaved -- they still have their neural braids. You can see that Quaritch has his in the scene where he angrily turns around.
I usually skip trailers and go and get my food so that it’s “fresher” when the movie starts, but when I heard that they were gonna be previewing a trailer of avatar months ago I HAD TO SEE IT!!🤩
I too saw this trailer on an IMAX screen while waiting for Multiverse of Madness.
Jake talks about family.
Dom: family? I'm in
Details explained well
People have a problem with every story line a popular movie has but never confess what movie they think has a “better” story line. Also don’t see them going out and directing any of their own movies
My most anticipated movie of the year
Still gives me chills! Can't wait to see this on the big screen!
The quest for Eywa actually sounds incredible
agreed. i love that for Avatar 5. it feels very final. i’m like 50/50 on The Seed Bearer for Avatar 3 and i’m not a huge fan of The Tulkun Rider for Avatar 4 because it might be weird for people to pronounce. but Quest for Eywa just sounds epic.
If nothing else we know it’s going to be absolutely beautiful!
This will probably get Oscars for direction, prod. design, best motion picture and visual effects but I wonder if this could open the door to award CGI acting. The amount of work the actors do!
I loved this video! Are you doing another one for the official trailer newly released? I'd love to see your opinion on that longer trailer - Avatar Way of Water
Defo would watch this, it seems pretty cool.
