OMG im the Jam up Guy this week! this is so awesome! Thanks Bios 😊
Congrats
Heck yeah that's awesome
Tony Schiavone: “This is the greatest moment in the history of our sport!”
Congrats
Thanks 😊 I'm a huge fan of the channel and the Hart's so when I heard about the donation I was like okay time to stop procrastinating and grab some gear especially because it's for such a great cause that I really support! This channel is so freaky dope. I love it!
@marquan1976 that was awesome 👌 thanks man I love this community you all are so awesome! thanks
“My family has lived for wrestling, and we’ve died for wrestling”
25 years on and that line still gives me the chills.
Ya, that hit hard
Got my brass knucks that don't look like brass knucks but we'll call them brass knucks anyway ready!
I'm waiting for him to drop a shirt on this, it's my favorite bit from the beginning of RTW lol
It's kick or be kickin
Bret did Owen proud with his speech. Those few scumbags in the audience can rot.
How can he knowledge Owen while he was in WCW ?
I know I’m not the only one who loved La Parka . The strut and walk . And literally a great character to play on old WCW N64
To sit in the crowd during Bret Harts heartfelt speech about losing his younger and yelling HURRY UP or YOU SUCK....absolutely disgusting.
I had to rewind the video to make sure I heard him right. I didn't like his character from '97 on, but, man. His brother died. Even I think that was uncalled for.
I hope fans tuned him up after the show.
Who said that I missed it
@@thenofilterchannel8247Someone in the crowd said it during Bretts speech. It's not clear but it's there, it's clearer with headphones.
Right. In an interview soon after this on 'Off the record', Brett spoke about this promo/speech and said that the fans heckling him during this speech is a big reason why he has become disillusioned with American wrestling fans. He said it took a lot for him to come out there to pay tribute to his brother and he could hear the fans just mocking him throughout.
The person who shouts "you suck" at Bret when he's talking about Owen is a despicable human being, and I hope he's felt guilty about his actions ever since.
@@qtips1719 Found the guy
they don't care
He's an animal! ANIMAL!!😂
@@brettlowery4443 he's no Smokey the cat, that's for sure!
Well done to the huge WCW crowd for clapping and cheering "Bret! Bret! Bret!" It was a great show of support for him and the Hart family. There will always be a couple of idiots in a crowd of over 25k but the vast majority of them were fantastic.
You can tell Bret was completely checked out in 99 after losing Owen. RIP Owen. Hard to believe it's been 25 years ❤❤
Hard to believe Charlotte and David come from the same space mountain.
I teared up at Brett Hart speech.
Why do so many people spell "Bret" wrong nowadays?
@@skyatollah2skyharder276I don’t think that misspelling is a new trend.. but based on his username, this dude can’t seem to spell “default” either 😆
That Mean Street entrance gets me every damn time!!
lol me2😂
It's been added to playlists of mine
Sting's punches on Sid looked awesome.
I hate that people call Bret "bitter". Bret have everything to wrestling, and it took from him more than he could ever give back. I grew up in Alberta and the Harts are royalty here and Bret will always be one of my hero's.
While he may have had his “diva” moments in his career I hate that people imply that he wasn’t justified in hating Goldberg or having friction with Vince. Imagine losing your brother in a horrifying (and most likely preventable) accident and also having your career cut short by someone else’s unsafe choices in the same year only to get called bitter. Yeah I’d be more than bitter after that.
If I was in Bret's shoes, I would be too. He was basically forced into the family business by his father, and wasn't allowed to choose his own career path. He came back to WCW after 4 months away to grieve his brother, who was killed by WWE, and just 3 months later, he suffered multiple concussions which ended his career. Ever since then he's probably thought to himself, "I we hadn't become wrestlers, my brother would still be alive, and I wouldn't have ended up in a wheelchair."
They say Bret’s bitter, but they never say he’s wrong.
@@kiereanm3254The fact Bret seemed to take this all in stride and only grumbled a bit is a testament to his strength as a human being.
The good thing about you taking 2 weeks off is it will make Savage's final title reign seem longer than it actually was lol
Just seeing that great picture of Bret putting Owen in a headlock makes me so sad and emotional. It was a great what if. Those guys deserved to grow old together as brothers.
If I lost my brothwr idk what I'd do.....
I sometimes forget how long the Taker/Austin feud dragged on...
It ends soon don’t worry
Hey at least its not Bloodline level long
yeah there weren't that many guys at the top at that time
Yeah, you can kind of pass it off as them needing build more guys but at this point Kane, Big Show, Rock, Triple H and Mankind are all main eventers with some other talent being in a great spot for a real push with Billy Gun, Steve Blackman, Chyna, Test and Shamrock.
I think Vince didn't know what to do with his 2 biggest guys both being face (Austin and Rock)
@@WaterInmyHands Outside of feuding with himself, agreed. Their best storylines were always feuding with the McMahons
Billy and Chuck was a poor man's Lenny and lodi. There I said it.
Losing a brother must be hard and that's why I feel for Bret Hart and also Taylor Rotunda.
Kevin Von Erich would also
And with the benefit of hindsight, Bret's year would go from terrible to catastrophic when he fights Goldberg...
1999 was already catastrophic for Bret. Goldberg injuring Bret at the end of Bret career really. Is not even the same league, as Owen dying, and everybody acting like it is including Bret, is beyond me.
@@leaderofnoone9087you know what I really like? Pasta... I really like pasta.
@@glorbog man who doesn't love pasta.
Goldberg sucks
You messing with this Mind's Man 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
One guy had the cheek to say "You suck" during Bret's comments on Owen. Some people really do lack class.
Probably a fuckin democrat
I thought I wasn't gonna cry during Bret's speech, but nope, tears were inevitable. Between how much he's clearly still grieving & what he's saying knowing soon his career would be cut short, it's pretty sobering.
In hindsight, I really wish he would've retired right there on the spot, so he didn't end up getting concussed, then later having that stroke.
YEAH HE SHOULD HAVE RETIRED WITH THE BENOIT MATCH,AND WAIT UNTIL 2002 TO COME BACK
@@Fluoride_JonesBret in his mind, didn't fit for WCW
So happy you include the botchamania send for the man bit.
When Bret came back in '99, he was in prime position for a full on mega push... Wrestling with Shadows released in January, Owen's death garnered the fan support, and matches with the likes of Benoit brought a whole different feel to WCW Nitro, at a time it DRASTICALLY needed it... Things actually looked pretty good for a second there... Which of course is when they dropped the ball yet again, and had him turn heel yet again, to relaunch the nWo, yet again... 🤦🏻♂️😭
It has been a year since Goldberg won the WCW Championship in the Georgia Dome. The product is now unrecognizable from what it was then.
As a bigger WCW than WWF fan, it was heartbreaking watching the slow decline of my favorite wrestling company
3:16 The "That wasn't just savage, that was vicious" meme.
We need a 12 hour video of the mean street theme
Hated How The Fans Told Bret To Hurry Up
I don't know what I'm gonna do without RTW for two weeks...
The wide world of wrestling channels has you covered: WhatCulture, Wrestling With Wregret, WrestleTalk, Cultaholic, Botchamania, Markyd123...maybe old episodes of Reliving the War if none of those interest you? And those are just the channels I can think of off the top of my head.
Binge from the beginning or watch the content he has planned to drop
Poor Chavito, I bet uncle eddie was laughing his ass off backstage!!
Everyone in the back was laughing at Chavo. So much so if you notice when Ric&David Flair walked down they covered the ramp so no else fell 😂
Ironic Eddie got robbed
😢 we love you, Brett.
God damn, 25 years later and STILL making me cry with this.
SEND FOR THE JAM
Big Kev rockin that sweet Atlanta Thrashers jersey. Now there's a throwback lmao.
I wish they were still around
Keep in mind, that was current when he wore it. Throwback for 1999 would have been an Atlanta Flames jersey. 😂
They hadn’t played a single game yet. The 1999-2000 season was their first.
Touch of class the way WB has handled the owen hart fallout in reliving the war
Couldn't think of better way of summarising the segments
To be honest: This was the best looking Buff Blockbuster I‘ve ever seen.
Real touching promo from our Excellency.
Good luck with the search for Steve Blackman!
RIP owen hart u are missed
They should have held Bret's return show in Calgary. They would have been a much better crowd than Atlanta.
Probably more respectful too
Agreed. Give Bret a hero’s welcome back in Calgary Alberta, Canada. Love Bret, always have and always will. 🇨🇦🇺🇸
The location for the episode was already set way in advance, well before WCW knew Bret would return at this time. WCW was very good to Bret and told him he could take as much time off as he needed after Owen died, so they had no idea when he would be ready to return and just left it up to him.
Anywhere in Canada would’ve been better.
I love the mean street posse's entrence music. What a banger.
That Mean Street Posse intro
never gets old lol
Comparing that georgia dome crowd to 1.4.99 fingerpoke of doom sums up the state of wcw
Really? I think that comparing Nitro's 25,338 crowd to Raw's 8,227 crowd is a better indicator of the state of WCW...
I can never get sick of the Mean Street Posse intro. Worked shoot fights on wrestling tho...
Randy and Sids promo wasn't just Savage it was down right Vicious
Team Madness should have won the wcw tag team championships.
It’s Kick or Be Kickin' time once again
I've never seen that Bret Hart speech before... almost brought this grown man to tears...
That eddie skit was fn hilarious. “Were you in a fire or something?”
Credit to the crowd for clapping and cheering "Bret! Bret! Bret!" in a great show of support during what would have been a very difficult time.
Petition to call Billy gunn's jackhammer the Asshammer
This loss really was so devastating to everyone, especially Bret. It hurts as a fan to know Bret couldn’t be there that night with his brother.
Rest in Power, Owen! I also love how you transitioned from Bret and Owen to Eddie Guerrero being up to no good. Eddie and Owen probably would’ve been best friends if they ever had the chance. They both lied, cheated, and stolen our hearts. RIP Eddie as well. Oh and RIP Test. DAMN! So many guys lost too soon!
Bubba Rogers as well aka Big Boss Man.
Goddamn, 1999's wrestling was a bigger shitshow than I imagined. The fact that both shows combined got a 9.5 rating share is absolutely baffling. Regardless - love your work, enjoy your time off.
It's because more peope like this dumb fuckery and drama than actual wrestling
Owen always seemed like he looked up to Bret quite alot. I mean, I didn't start watching wrestling until 1997. So I got the chance to watch Owen only for alittle bit until his death. Rest In Peace Owen 🙏❤😢
What do think about today, s product🤔🤔🤔
@@zacharythomason7359, I don't care too much for it 🤷
Chavo was rolling up the windows when he fell on the ramp 😹 and I believe that's white lightning in Nash's water bottle 😹🤣🥃🍹🍻

Let's go always laugh and enjoy that steve blackman joke and how much it's been catching on with everyone.
I love reliving the war one of my favorite series on CZcams
As the end (for me at least) of the Monday Night War draws nearer (September 6, 1999 - the last Nitro before Eric Bischoff gets fired the first time), I just wanted to say that this series has been GREAT.
That look Savage gave Torrie. Looked like Sgt Major Williams on It Aint Half Hot Mum about to blow a gasket. Check out the sound memories of those that lived through this that always cite 97-98 as the peak.
All the people in the audience when Bret was giving his speech that said "YOU SUCK" or "HURRY UP" or something else along those lines...are complete and utter garbage. How damn disrespectful.
Probably only a small sample size to pick from, I'd say 3-10 people out of about 25,000 that were doing that (possibly because they either didn't know that Owen had already died, or they were already anti-WWF so of course they didn't care for Owen's legacy at the time). They very likely regret their actions on this night now, and would prefer to not have to endure any more abuse from present day wresting fans not willing to forgive them for refusing to let an all-time great mourn the loss of his younger brother. As for everyone else in the crowd, though, massive respect to them. They were probably just as touched by Owen's death as Bret was.
EDIT: *BUT...* compared to the kickboxing match and the announcement of a boxing match from later on in the show, I'd take the Bret Hart segment, even with the occasional heckling 7 out of 7 days of the week.
15:00 Loved Brett's speech here despite how sad the situation was. I dunno how he got through the whole thing without breaking down.
26:50 Chin lock, Boston crab AND a sharpshooter! Best submission move ever or what?
The two week side quest to meet Steve Blackman shouldn’t have made me laugh as hard as I did, but I loved it. Best of luck! I hear he’s like Bigfoot…
Savage slapping tori definitely aged well 😅😅😅
Dude at 11:39 screaming “you suck” at Bret, during his speech about Owen, is definitely not a jam up guy.
1. Well both are rough this week. I can't wait to see McMahon-Helmsley Era.
2. Bret Hart's words on Nitro was really compassionate and pushed competition away for that moment of respect for Owen Hart. So yeah I give a draw this week RTW. But I give another point to Owen Hart. The Hart Family went through a lot in the whole Reliving the War Series.
I'll never understand the obsession with fake Stings
Why go looking for Steve Blackman? just play loud Country Music and he will find you. lol
I marked out so hard at West Texas rednecks performing
They definitely were over as a face
I don't get why they were booked as heels originally
I'd rather say candy man in the mirror. More likely to survive.
I dunno...just play "Cold As Ice" during all his matches about a year from now, he's guaranteed to show up then.
And not the original version, or even the version used to introduce his segments here...
Because he doesn't want to feel his wrath
I cant imagine the pain Bret was going through, but damn that speech really turned into all about him and less about Owen
The WCW fans who yelled you suck and hurry up during Bret's speech can rot in hell
@@qtips1719 This coming from a dude using an animated emoji for a pfp? really?
Of course the vast majority of the fans were respectful and WCW itself treated Bret exceptionally well, but yeah let's focus on a couple of idiots in a crowd of 25k...
@@namikstudios I think you need to re-read what I wrote again pal...
@@RyoUrawa777 the WCW fans were great to Bret. A couple of idiots do not represent a crowd of over 25k. I think we should be focusing on the overwhelmingly positive response for Bret rather than giving the idiots attention they do not deserve.

I was waiting for this episode just like other historic nights in the monday night war, because we finally get to see another historic moment that has aged like wine to this day, SEND FOR THE MAN!
Eddie's reaction at La Parka had me dying.
Why was listening to bret as heartbreaking now as it was back then rip Owen 😢
The Wrestling Community still misses you Owen Hart. You deserved more from WWF and they killed a legend way to young. RIP Owen 💕
So much respect for Bret ❤
With all the nonsense going on in the world your videos is one of the few things that give me some peace.
I lost my little brother two months ago, this broke me, but I needed that, thank you so much for this upload, you helped heal someone today, I mean it from the bottom of my heart

Hey Wrestling Bios. Just wanted to let you know how much I love the series and how much I value your work! Always going above and beyond. Thanks much!
That Mean Street Posse beatdown was straight outta Casino.
Thursday just got good!
I’m pretty sure Macho Mind is Lanny Poffo.
3:15 oh my god, it's the "that's not just vicious, that's Savage" meme! I wondered what episode it was once Sid came back, nice
I always pop when I hear that the Mean Street Posse are gonna be on an episode of RTW. That means I can hear their excellent RTW intro
The hitman hit my heart
"My family has lived for wrestling, and we've died for wrestling". 😢
Haha it’s the Botchamania scene, and fully referenced!
I totally forgot that it was Thursday again
Damn. That Hitman promo was raw
No, Nitro
It's Thursday, and you know what that means?! Good luck on finding Sensei Blackman. I'm proud that Goldberg vs Hogan took place in hometown.
'tis a fool's quest-Steve Blackman will only be found when he's ready to be found
Excited to see how much HHH/Rock will evolve once we get to 2000. Those two together is a guaranteed classic every time.
The Rock and Foley made HHH a STAR. He owes his career to them.
I had to rewind to make sure i heard correct about that crazy side quest. Lmao
It's Thursday, YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS HERE ON CZcams!!!!
You just knew, maybe not back as far as '99, that the ending of that Nitro was going to be a meme today. I believe this was intended to be a lot scarier than on paper and probably would have been if Nitro didn't go off the air when it did, but Torrie laughing throughout makes the whole thing funnier than it has any right to be.
13:50 this is the first time I’ve ever heard Bret’s statement after Owen’s death. Man I just feel his hurt and uncertainty. If he did retire just then I would have completely understood.
I just put jam on my toast, thanks Wrestling Bios!
I lived in Fayetteville NC and was at this show. Can't wait to see what happens
but you already saw what happened lol
Having in Mind what happens to Brett about a Year abd a half later during the Match with Botchberg at Starcade, that Speech from Brett gives me Goosebumps.
I have been watching this series every Thursday since it started. It's been going on so long now I can't even remember how many years it's been....
