Reliving The War takes an in-depth look at the Monday Night War era of pro wrestling. Every episode of WWF Raw and every episode of WCW Nitro gets covered, and the goal is to find out who had the best show each and every week.
This week on Raw Stone Cold Steve Austin wants Vince McMahon to sign a contract for Fully Loaded. McMahon promised Stone Codl that he'd leave WWF TV if Austin can beat The Undertaker at the Pay Per View, so Austin want's this stipulation in writing before the First Blood Match. Triple H, Billy Gunn and Chyna have a 6-man tag against Road Dogg, X-Pac and Kane, but the Big Red Machine seems a little preoccupied with his big brother.
On Nitro new Heavyweight Champion Randy Savage opens up the show and he ends up getting challenged by an old rival; Hollywood Hogan is back on WCW television and he wants the WCW championship. Booker T faces Diamond Dallas Page in the semi main event, Ric Flair goes one-on-one with Dean Malenko, and Steve Regal faces Billy Kidman in a match that features a rare botch from Billy.

Anytime Savage gets a world title, you can count on Hogan being there to try to shorten the reign 😂
Oh God, if only you were being sarcastic
Or Flair. Why is it every time Savage won a World title, no matter who he beats or how he does it, he lost it to either Flair or Hogan?
@@monarchedego most probably.
Let's face it, Savage at this time was'nt a draw, Hogan still was & was 5 years later. They all agreed to this, you think it was random that Hogan came back right then? You know wrestling is scripted right?
Hogan with his grandstandin and hot doggin
Macho Man Randy Savage: wins the WCW belt.
Hulk Hogan: I'm about to end this brother's whole career, dude.
He was ALWAYS so jealous of Macho. Insecure, bitchy, little roid freak (Not that macho WASN'T on roids) but Hogan was NOTHING if not insecure.
OR MAYBE IM NOT BROTHER, we just don't know dude
@@Venemofthe888 Deadlock, huh?
@@nickbanks7954 absolutely it's my favourite joke of theirs....or maybe it isn't brother, maybe people have heard that joke before dude
Back to horseman business!
Nevermind that sh*t here comes mongo
Gonna be fun to see Jericho’s WWF debut in a few weeks
The best debut, what's my name bitch
This is a chronical sensation.
Owen Hart passed away 6 weeks after this Raw and Jericho make his debut 4 weeks before this Raw.
That was one of the best debuts of all time. They built it up a lot.
No it's not! Rock f's it up!
@@makaveli4205 “welcome to Raw is Jericho!”
I love how The Rock surprises Road Dogg and X-Pac by teaming up with them. One of my favorite matches!
Yeah, I miss this dynamic in wrestling, just a random wrestler in the back answering the challenge.
"Oh yeeeeeeah, I'm the world champion. Dig it".
"That doesn't work for me, brother".
"Randy has the belt? That doesn't work for me, brother!"
This is the only wrestling channel that makes 1999 WCW enjoyable to get through
Sensei Blackman knew the time just wasn't right to pass on his secret knowledge to WB.
The fact that I was born on a historical night like this makes watching RTW even more special 🎉
You're Julius Caesar?
Beware those Ides bro.
Happy birthday 🎉
I have never, ever set aside time for a CZcams channel. I have always done other things while I watched CZcams because I didn’t want to waste any time. However, this is a show that I set aside until I know I can watch the full episode (usually evening of release) because it’s so great. You, sir, are a treasure to all of us.
That segment between Austin and McMahon has to be the inspiration of a similar event in Here Comes the Pain.
Hogan getting the title again like this is one of the many nails in the coffin of WCW.
Exactly. No point in buying a PPV when right after on cable Hogan winds up with the belt
I literally got chills when I saw the Y2J countdown clock 😂
Bringing in the Millennium Countdown with no narration is 🔥👌🏼
That's what I love about this show. Allows us to literally relive the randomness and inexplicable feeling that it generated at the time.
The turnaround on these videos is always impressive. Shoutout to the editors that help Bios deliver Horace every week.
The turnaround??? Took 15 years...😅😂
@@UCUSmusicI think dude meant how often Wrestling Bios produces content. 🤦♂️😂
The fact that fans marked out for Head just goes to show that Al Snow was a genius. (I know Head happened by happenstance, but Al is still making it work!)
Dayum. That countdown to the new millennium gave me nostalgia chills.
Reliving the war returns for us jam up guys 😂
21:46 David Flair's chops were legendary😂.
That Y2J countdown has me HYPED.
WrestlingBios returning is like Lights out in the ECW Arena and when it turns on back again he‘s standing there.
I gotta say man, that intro kicks ass. It’s easy to see that a ton of effort went into it. I just wanted you to know that it’s noticed and appreciated.
Brother that video you showed of Vince’s motorcycle accident had me crying laughing.
Unfortunately it was just a reenactment.
Your the first comment I saw that mentioned this bike crash footage 🤣🤣 i rewound it at least 6 times 😅 dude was cartwheeling like an olympic gymnast 🤸♂️
Bonesaw got the 3 minutes of playtime
Still can’t believe Macho Man had two of his reigns as WCW champ end in less than 24 hours. BOTH to Hulk 😢
Macho Man had no business with the belt, especially after bulking up. He was very limited. It was sad to see him this way.
@@fmbbeachbum8163hulk didn't have any business with it either tbf
@@fmbbeachbum8163Savage was not washed up yet
Macho becomes champ.
Hogan: that doesnt work for me brother.
@@fmbbeachbum8163bs. It's about personality not moves. There's plenty of indy wrestlers nobody will ever hear of who can do some nice wrestling moves for you.
The countdown to one of the best debuts has started ladies and Gentleman letsss goooo
Welcome back Wrestling Bios from the Showcase of the Immortals
So glad to be back to some good old horsemen business Thursdays are not the same without you
At last! Our crusade against the evils of rap can continue! Thank you Steve Blackman! Your tireless work of jumping from the past to the future is an inspiration!
Erm Steve Blackman actually hates country music not rap music 🤓
@@ianperry9598*Does a Steve Blackman Hail Hydra edit*
We missed this series, glad to have it back 💪🏾
I'm so glad Reliving the War exists 'cause I missed late April 1999 to mid-December 1999 due to me moving and didn't get satellite TV until mid-December 1999. Thanx Wrestling Bios!
It's back. We saw Cody finish his story let's continue our story
Amen
Savage : I'm the new champion
Hogan : That doesn't work for me brother!
you forgot the oh yeah......
Dude! That means street posse theme song 😂😂😂🤣! LMAO! I soooo want an extended remix to play during my workouts..... 😂😂😂😂😂
Bro, your production quality each week is impeccable!
You compelled me to look up the weather In Belfast. You weren’t lying it’s in the high 40’s while it’s
80 degrees in Arkansas lol. Sheesh
You start to realize how long they dragged out Austin/McMahon and how it was really only Austin's charisma that made it seem like it was still somewhat fresh after so long.
When was the raw when triple h drugged Stephanie and married her on live tv.
@@mermaidman1985 Except you also knew there was no way Vince was going to leave TV for good.
I always love that promo/segment with Jeff Jarrett, Steve Austin & Big Show 😅
Reliving the War is back. It feels like Thursday night again.
17:59 It's because Austin really did not like Jarret back then. I think it was Cornette who told the story about how Jarret taunted Austin about one of his paychecks when he was struggling to make end's meet, and he always remembered. Then when Jarret first came to WWF, he started calling Austin Ring Master instead of Stone Cold and said that Austin 3:16 was blasphemy in a promo. Not the best way to get back on his good side. lol
Pretty much. It was when Jarret returned from WCW actually but yeah after that promo he went to Russo and told him to book him in a match with him.
Well Biblically, Austin's slogan was. Yet Jarrett bringing attention to it wasn't wise considering Austin was still upset at Jarrett.
Man Jericho coming to raw in just a few more weeks im so excited for that very soon one of my favorite Chris Jericho moments
We have to make a push to get this man 1 Million subscribers. Lad deserves a gold play button
That Jericho count down clock hit so hard and triggered so many great wrestling memories from this era!
Man I was fiending for these Episodes, 🙏🏽 Thank you for giving me my fix, of Reliving The Monday Night War!
Welcome back Wrestling Bios time to get back to Horsemen Business baby!
Welcome back from wrestlemania mate
Your commitment to producing this series has been unreal.
Hollywood Hogan coming back to win the title, what an underdog story, really didn't see that coming! Proud of the lad
OH HELL YEAH!! Reliving the War is back baby, hope you enjoyed your time off and your trip to WrestleMania, but I speak for all the fans and say we are glad the series is back! Let's have a jam up time!
Can't wait for Y2J! One of my favorite stars in the Attitude Era
Our favorite Jam up guy is back!!
I’m finally caught up on all the Reliving the War series. Thank you for making it, I’ve enjoyed it all. Very informative of the time and honest look back at it.
The countdown to the Millennium!!
Hogan the ultimate politician. Comes back from months absence and wins the title without any story / build up 😅😅😅
Love kicking back on a Thursday cup of tea and reliving the war
fun memories watching wrestling during the summer of 99
3 things are certain in life .. Death , Taxes and Hogan pulling rank on Macho Man
Thank God the longest two weeks of my life is finally over!
Same here , I miss this series

Appreciate the respect being put on Tracy Smothers 🫡
Another awesome episode of Reliving the war this series is so much fun to watch great stuff as always.
Watching through the whole series again, I’m on episode 25 and seen that this came out so I had to watch it, what a difference between then and now! Love this show and always look forward to Thursday nights!
Bar none my favorite series on CZcams. I love this era of wrestling and I think the way you present it is amazing. I hope you have something planned for when this inevitably ends.
I'm ashamed to say how much i missed this series.
wake up babe new reliving the war just dropped
My Thursdays are finally whole again
He’s baaacckkkkk! Back to our regular scheduled program.
I miss this on Thursdays, but I'm glad you had a good time at WM40
Can't wait for the wwf debut of Chris jericho in this see
Same
FINALLY......."The Tie" has come back....to Wrestling Bios.
Oh my, Vampiro without facepaint looks so... innocent and young.
I thought Takers looked at his absolute best. It was just a shame he was physically wrecked at this time.
Jericho was very clever with his concept of the countdown clock and on this night, it was the very beginning of his legendary run that's for better or worse still going to this day
Proud to have the jam, and proud to support the greatest wrestling channel!
The Mean Street Posse bit never fails to make me laugh.
I only got to this channel like a year ago. I am sad I didn’t get here earlier. Also Regal Rules. Great video as alwaus
I laughed out loud at the Vince McMahon "recreation" motorcycle crash! Good Stuff!
He's back!!! Hope you enjoyed your mini vacation
Jericho is almost here in the wwe
Jericho’s debut still gives me goosebumps
RTW, perfect with some Mint Tea and a sausage butty. now theres a top notch review.
I was so lost without this series. I forgot what day of the week it was. Lol series on CZcams …
To think this week of Nitro is (another) re-match of WM5 and next week is re-match of WM8. Where's Sgt Slaughter when you need him?
Just be lucky we wont have to suffer through another rematch of WM6
Welcome back Wrestling Bios
Great To Be Back To Reliving The War However the content in the meantime was Excellent 👍❤️👍
The Thursday tradition has once again returned ❤
Always Great Stuff, Well Done
I just want you to know I love everything you do I was watching before reliving the war and been here since day one for reliving the war you have brought me back to wrestling and for that thank you
I missed the show. Glad you had a good time at Mania
Can't wait for the next episode for July 19th! I was at Raw for that one at Rupp Arena.
Great Video, Glad you had a great time at Wrestlemania
The My Name is Billy promo is on youtube and it's still glorious.
That Posse theme edit is so good.
I miss watching the monday night wars wwe vs wcw
Can’t wait for the greatest tag team in WCW Harlem Heat 2000
Been waiting for this one. i was in the audience for NItro that night and the crowd was absolutely on-fire, especially for Hogan. I guess we were just all nostalgic for the old days of Hulkamania and wanted someone to really cheer since Goldberg was out. That being said, that Nitro was historic for having the very last championship match between Hogan and Savage.
10:58 yep this is exactly why I'm here, you have the best sense of humor man!
These may be almost 25 year old episodes, but I popped hard when Steve Mufuggin Blackman's music hit
Oh my god, I love the Mean Street Posse/Lonely Island mash-up lmao
It's a bit sad that we never got to see a Big Show and Al Snow team-up. It could've been called Al Show...or maybe even Big Snow (that last one approved by Shawn Michaels, of course).
