More special episodes of WWE's flagship Monday Night television show! This time we look at everything from the beginning of 2008 until the end of 2011 including the 2008 King of the Ring, the episode of Raw that featured only Smackdown Superstars due to travel disruption, "The Price is Raw" featuring Bob Barker, Old School Raw, Raw Roulette and loads more.
#WWE #Raw #WWERaw - Sport
Bob Barker treating Jericho like a child was one of the funniest moments of the PG era.
WrestleMania Rewind is actually a genius idea.
4:00 Paul, Paul my legs! 😂
OSW has immortalized that segment 😂
PAUUUULLLLLL
PAUL!
HBK's road to retirement could be a good video...
Goldust vs regal in the gimmick swap was amazing. May be goofy but it’s regal and goldust. I love that match
Is it better than them being showgirls though lol
Y'all remember when Raw was only 3 hours durin' certain special episodes only & came on @ 9 PM? Me too...
I’d get in trouble as a kid because I wanted to stay up late to watch it lol.
@kiereanm3254 dang that sucks dawg me & my late pops used to say up & watch it together, I miss those days man
1:27-1:42 I predict WWE will go 4K when RAW moves to Netflix next year.
Yeah, I think the main reason that WWE didn't go 4k before is because most cable and network TV doesn't broadcast in 4k, so it would be pretty pointless to upgrade all of the production equipment.
@@kidthorazineYeah, the content producers and networks don’t want to spend the money because cable and satellite providers won’t pay extra for 4K feeds they can’t use. And the cable and satellite providers are in no rush to upgrade their infrastructure because there’s no real consumer demand for 4K broadcasts.
And they will finally reveal that Vince was Black the entire time!
The anticipation for the word Kennedy was intense. 😂
The last one for 2011 was memorable for me since Kane would return with a brand new look with his mask put back on. I freaked out. Being 16 at the time I was losing my mind
I am surprised you managed to get 23 minutes of Special Episodes of RAW in this early days of PG Era
This is the era I didn't really follow, thank you for letting me relive what I missed! 🎉
Same here. After the end of the Ruthless Agression Era, I just stopped watching wrestling all together. It's only because of this channel where anything past that era was just filler and the "oh so that happened huh?".
It's pretty amazing Bob Barker lived til he was 99. I went to Price is Right with my buddies from High School a month after we graduated, and it was QUITE the experience. We didn't get to be contestants but we were definitely very much on TV because of what we were wearing. Great experience that was an all-day thing because we were in LA almost all day (and Santa Monica while waiting). After we went to City Walk at Universal and finally went home around 8...and of course since it was HellA, there was traffic regardless, no matter what time.
Vince spun the roulette wheel and landed on Bunkrupt.
He just made $400 million selling around 40-50% of his tko stock.
Cope harder! 😂
@@mentalphilanthropist35yeah where’d he get that from? Vince is in hot water but it don’t look like WWE’s goin anywhere.
@@gatchywatchyentertainmentb2090lol yeah because it’s smart to believe anyone nowadays
He is richer Than ever lol
@@MrAjking808 Man FU I remember what you did..
I was at the All Star Night Raw in 2011
RAW Roulette was my favorite special episode of Monday Night RAW. Spinning the wheel to see what match type you would get was really cool. I know NXT Halloween Havoc kinda brought it back with the whole "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal" thing, but I'd like to see RAW Roulette return.
That Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio theme mashup is fire
If you ever feel forgotten about just remember The Dudebusters got left in Europe longer because there wasn’t enough room for them on plane
4:04 PAUL!
JR said in his book that he didn't know he was gonna be drafted to smackdown until he saw it on the jumbotron
I remember all of these
William Regal was looking like Clancy Brown from Pet Semetery 2
Paul! Paul! I can't feel my legs, paul!
18:30 you know WWE All-Stars was a special game when the WWE dedicated an entire episode of RAW just for it 😮
There needs to be a special Raw episode paying tribute to the chinlock, the nerve pinch, and the back rake.
bob barker guest hosting raw was absolutely hilarious that was great raw all-star night in 2011 was great Austin's promo with CM punk was awesome that hits more now that punk is back in WWE.
RIP To All The Superstar Who Pass Away
crazy how Vince and Orange Jesus were such close friends. That's an elite group of friends there. Not to suggest anything, but I wonder if king maga ever flew vinny boy over to his favorite island.
Unanimous raw gm was & I quote:” hillarrious”😂😂
Loved the Legends section, was great to see some of the former superstars line up one again
That Vince McMahon reference 👌 Savage bro..!
Been excited for this upload since the first one! Love your content
I loved Roddy Piper feuding with The A Team movie stars 😂
The era I grew up with as I started watching in 2007
Same
For me it's during the John Cena vs Randy Orton matches
You really missed out on the golden era. 1997-2001. By 2007 WWE had been unwatchable for years.
Same here. I used to watch Smackdown on the CW (a local TV station) because we didnt have cable to watch RAW. Watching the RAW highlights on Smackdown always felt like a treat
These were the years that I wasn’t watching as much.
It makes my heart happy to see how fast, and I am, BLAZING the supporters list is. It's literally lagging and frame dropping for how fast it has to go to show everybody. It's awesome!
Outro mashup is amazing. Is there a full version?
WWE Draft 2010 was the first WWE I've ever watched.
Love these specials ❤
It was around this time I started watching WWE, couple years later stopped, got to PG
It'll likely never happen again but if a Wrestlemania Rewind episode happened this year it would be so unbelievably good
The thing I remember most about The Rock’s birthday bash was hearing him announce that the US military had finally taken down Osama Bin Laden.
We need a guest host recap video 😊😅😂
4:05 "Paul"
Raw Roulette was an interesting concept
I really don't get why they don't do Taboo Tuesday/Viewers Choice stuff now, with Twitter you literally can have a week of hyping stuff up and getting social media interactions
And I was there for the pipebomb promo! How wild was that, Thomas and Mack was jumpin
11:42 Jack Swagger vs the Undertaker!! Haahaaaa 😂
Damn. The 09 show in Hershey. Uncle took me to it. Time flies.
I recently watched a WCCW tag match from 1982. Kevin & Kerry/King Kong Bundy & Wild Bill Irwin. The first thing that jumps out from the start is Bronco Lubich and David Manning are BOTH in the ring as referees, yet it never mentioned as a special stipulation by the announcer. There's alot going on in the match. This is pre-leg injury Kerry. First match "shaved head" Bundy. Irwin just working his ass off. You might enjoy checking it out. Possible video option. Thanks for your work!!!
Ugh... even in retrospect these were the friggin dark ages I remember them being 🤣🤣🤣
LMFAO!!! Same here bro!! I remember this whole era being pure cringe. Especially the guest host era, lol.
14:45 Best RKO couter.
I loved WrestleMania rematch Raw and smackdown. I wish they would bring it back now and then
Bob Barker ♥️
I was there that night for WM rewind! In the fourth row. It was my first time seeing the Undertaker in his dead man persona in years so that was a great moment.
I’ll never forget being pissed when Jeff Hardy lost the IC title to Jericho only to find out he got suspended and would miss Mania 😑
Bob Barker was and still is my favorite Raw guest host!
Ah, my era of televsion. Fun and sad times.
I loved Old School Raw
I remember when it went HD
Nov. 5, 2009 is when I returned to watch WWE after a 6+ year break and I saw that Thanksgiving Raw 2009.
They need another wrestlemania rewind raw
17:55 "I like this hat!" Samuel L. Jackson
Obligatory: PAUL! PAUL! I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!
Jesse Ventura was a good guest host
I was at Raw 800.
Sweet!
yep leggo good timing
Not the Legacy just Legacy lol
Jerry The King Lawler vs The Miz was fun
13:09 John and Jey Uso. 🤔😂
Holy heck wrestling bios never runs out of ORIGINAL ideas id love more bootleg merchandise vids 😂
I don’t know what Austin was saying to CM Punk during the footage, but damn does it look like Stone Cold is reading a teleprompter.
With WWE basically having 3 brands (Raw, Smackdown, and NXT), it would be cool if WWE do a King of the Ring tournament, with 24 wrestlers instead of 16, doing an 8 man tournament on each show. The winner of each show's tournament automatically goes on to the final four (each tournament wrapping up on the TV shows themselves), and the pre-show before a KOTR special featuring a triple threat match between the runner ups of each show, with the winner getting the final spot in the final four, and the last three matches taking place on the special.
13:10 Jey and John Uso?
Lmfao I thought I was going crazy when I saw that lol
John Uso special guest ref for Jimmy v Jey at WM
@@GPX-we7eu the missing triplet lol
Will you cover Special Episodes also for SmackDown or just only RAW?
Manu. I forgot this guy ever existed
You should do special episodes of Smackdown!
Mick Foley brought Brooks Jensen’s dad 😂
I think Raw roulette kept things fresh honestly. I just wish it was used better
Trump taking over RAW, Michaels at the Slammys calling out the Undertaker for another WrestleMania rematch, and CM Punk pipebomb promo were my favorites
“The Donald!” 😂
Your two brain cells must have been working overtime to get that comment typed.
WILL SEE YOU IN PART 3 AND TOMORROW RETRACING THE STEPS TIL THEN TAKE CARE.
Sorry, not sorry, but I had to stop watching mid-vid to look up the trading places match......and I'm glad I did.
I knew there was another commercial free raw after T-rump
2008 to 2011 childhood memories
2008-2011 was a terrible time period of wrestling for me. I stopped watching during these three years.
For me it went downhill after wm26 .
27 onward I didn't tube in until wm37
After Chris Benoit incident it changed a lot. But there was hidden gems here.
08 was good however 09 was garbage that made me stop watching until punk did his pipe bomb which kept me around until he left
@@dwaynejpeterkin yes I remember 09 didn't do much to drawn me in. I think I was in TNA Impact for a while.
@@michaelaburns734 same until mid 2010 when hulk hogan and Eric Bischoff changed tna
I miss non HD shots 😊
I watched regal stretch punk being a young kidd regal was so boring now that I’ve grown regal work was legend catch style what could’ve been 3:06
Wait a volcano caused a bigger air travel shutdown then 9/11? How? I could understand an area around the volcano being unflyable due to smoke maybe but not that big of an area. i think the Smackdown Raw was one of the last Raws I watched when it first aired.
It was an enormous eruption, and the ash and smoke covered a lot of the Atlantic Ocean.
Remember Massive Volcano vs Two towers. More smoke, and ash and other things will fill the air longer than just two towers getting bombed into.
Owen hart slammy award.
He really got slam on the ground.
LoL!
13:10 I never knew Jimmy went by John Uso, that sounds weird as hell saying it out loud
120 here for the bio
1:38 wwe is a billion dollar company wtf 😂😂😂
It's weird, I always just called them "Legacy" not "The Legacy" must be a new mandela effect
These were the years when the draft still mattered and it was weird to see SD superstars on Raw but this is also the last time period SD was good until the rebrand
This was a drinking game of an episode.
Every Mention of a Draft -Take a Shot
Every Slammy - Take a shot
There's more but I was drunk after those 6-7 or more, maybe I had to take a shot that this video was not as good as the previous one.
Where Ruthless Agression Era and beforehand has far better creativity.
Broadcasting TV in 4K is still really cost-prohibitive, and right now there’s no way for networks and producers to defer the expense because cable and satellite providers aren’t really set up to handle 4K signals (never mind terrestrial broadcast infrastructure). Streaming’s a different story though, with Raw moving to Netflix in 2025 I could see them trying it out.
2024's old school raw is set to have Jim cornette managing the new midnight express lol, and i cannot wait.
Not a fan of wrestling after 2001, though since this is an amazing channel and ryan seems like a cool guy, i will watch and like it
Is The King almost dying on Raw classed as a special? (Just a joke btw).
Paul
I CANT FEEL MY LEGS! PAUL!
who makes these mashups that eddie and rey one ruled
Bring back the titantron
Jim Cornette refers to it as the Obstructitron 5000
