I started to feel benefits immediately after 3 days and it changed my life . I have used it couple of years ago , but i discontinued it after 2 months , and now after 8 years i used it again and it is working great . Everyone human being is different . So it worked for me and maybe doesn't work for others .
Be careful. I was told when i started that coming off was no big deal. They lied. Its a bitch. Feel like trash. Dizzy spells, mild nausea almost constantly.
Yup. Its honestly hell to get off of. My new psych switched me to a half dose of escitalopram and half fluoxetine for a week, before moving me completely over to fluoxetine. Had 1 terrible withdrawal week compared to the months of torture trying to taper before.
After a week my mind felt slighty calmer though i still have had panic attack but less I am now on week 2. I would say certain very dark thoughts where lessoned immeiately that said right now i am on 10mg and will be upped to 20 after a month. A week in my adhd meds where also increased so the my body is adjusting to the 2 but seems to moslty be for the best. I had 11 dsys of work and was only on it a few days before and i think having that time off land when it did though it wss not a medical leave just when my holidays happened to land was perfect to have a bit more time to adjust. Had a terrible time at the dentist and that was just a cleaning and xray but hopefully more adjusted and much calmer in a few weeks.
How long does it take to become active in the body though? Like in how many hours does the drug’s mechanism of action take? I keep trying to search this but I can’t find any answers. I have bad allergic reactions to some medications so I have to know just in case so I can plan for it if that occurs.
lexapro destroyed my stomach. after two years of medication I stopped since I am sick with my stomach. nausea and vomiting with blood. I shouldn't have taken that poison. I hope it’s will stop one day ☠️🤬
I stopped after a year but for that 5 months of this year I felt off my legs cramps jittery very like bad I started back on w 10mg now up 15mg and I’m sweating I hate it
There isn’t much medication that does anything for anxiety with the exception of the benzo’s and the MAOIs. Claims of other medications helping anxiety are placebo effects

Wait til you try to get off this shit, think long and hard before you get on this. I’ve witnessed first hand a loved one’s struggles with this drug
