- Come with me as I show you the exterior and interior of some great apartments in Guadalajara Mexico. Finding the right neighborhood is just as important as finding the right apartment. From luxury complexes to walkable enclaves, Guadalajara has what you are looking for…if you’re up for a search. Colonia Americana is a great neighborhood to live, especially if you are new to Guadalajara. After visiting and living in this area for over a year, I desire a change. Check out the neighborhoods of Chapalita and Providencia with me. I think I have found my new home.

Moving from the US, you may be looking for relatively inexpensive rental apartments. Compared to the average rental prices in major cities like Houston, Los Angeles & Atlanta, I think a $1,000 budget is doable here in Guadalajara. What you must prepare for, is the fluctuations with the Dollar/Peso exchange which is currently low at 16.57 pesos to the dollar at the time of this post.
Thanks! I enjoyed the video. It was helpful
Yo vivo en Tlajomulco jaja
Disfruten su visita.
Grand rising 💜 came across your channel this morning and enjoyed this replay 6/6/24🎉
Thank you so much. Subscribe and stay tuned. There’s more to come
Love your channel!!! Thanks for all information
Thank you so much for watching. Please spread the word!
My first apartment in Guadalajara back in 1992 was only $80 for a 2 bedroom 2 bath in providencia exactly located in yaquis and Manuel Acuña.
I think providencia is the better place to live specifically in Ruben Dario. I lived in the Ruben Dario and Bonifacio Andrade for 4 years it was a 2 bed 2 bath with a back yard and I used to pay about $200 a month
Wow! Times have changed. I felt the same about the rents in Los Angeles. The 2 bed 2 bath I shared with a buddy was $600-800/month in 1990. Now it’s like $2500!
I really enjoyed your video! My wife and i are looking to move to Guadalajara by year's end, and we are soooo looking forward to it. Hope to bump into you at Louie Burger in Providencia!
Message when you’re here, so we can accidentally bump into each other on purpose!
@@MelaninManTravelsWill do! I look forward to running into you by scheduled "accident" 😀
@@MelaninManTravels Hey. This may just show my ignorance of how things work with CZcams. How do I go about contacting you when we are in Guadalajara?
@@poeryudo You can reach me through Instagram. @KevinMelaninMan
Y'all So Cool!! 🍸🍹🍸 Vibin' here with you in GDL!! I like the first apartment because of the living room space. The others were short on that. Happy home hunting!!
Thanks Wendy! I picked the Red Door. Home warming celebration loading….
@@MelaninManTravels 🎉🎉🎉
Put the housewarming celebration on the books🎉
Thank you so much for contributing to Guadalajara's gentrification. But please, tell me more about this "decolonized mindset" or does that only go a certain way?
Just for clarification. Are you suggesting that no one move to another country? Is it not okay to live amongst local Mexicans? Should I not contribute to the local economy? I live in an older established neighborhood with Mostly Mexican families and residents and have Mexican friends who earn WAY more than I do. So please define gentrification so I can understand your point. Thanks for watching.
Enjoyed your video. If you do some more apartment hunting please post them. If not I would pick the one with the red door.
I picked the Red Door! I got my keys the other day. Very excited and pleased.
@@MelaninManTravels Congrats. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and possibly meeting up with you when my family and I move down there next year Jan/Feb.
Hi - great information. Would you be able to help with information for my niece and I who want to move to Guadalajara. We would like to be permanent residents. I’m gay my niece is not LOL
@@bryanjordan8997 Hey Bryan. The best way to get info is by searching CZcams and getting different peoples experiences with the process. Each US state handles it a little differently. Also Google Mexican embassy for the requirements in your state.
@@MelaninManTravels we’ve been watching other videos and yours and we have researched the different embassy’s and found the Phoenix to be one of the better embassies to get a temporary residency. We have also been online looking for apartments and houses to rent. We love the apartment you just moved into. We are also looking in Tlaquepaque.
Thanks for taking your time speaking and pointing your camera😂
Good video. Is there some reason you don't just talk at a regular pace?
I don’t know what you mean by that. Am I speaking too fast?
If you’re looking for an expert agent (Fatima) to help you find your Guadalajara home, send me a message for the info.
$1000 is not inexpensive. My big 2BR in Chapala is 6500 pesos. That is inexpensive.
Yes, but the difference is you’re in Chapala which may or may not work for everyone. I like to visit Chapala but I prefer living in GDL so I do pay more. Merida is also nice and very inexpensive but I don’t want to live in that heat to have lower rent. So, inexpensive is totally relative. Thanks for sharing for those who may want to consider the Lake Chapala area
What were the details (price, sq. mt.) on the last apartment you showed?
Thank you so much for the reminder. The size is 75 sq meters with one parking space. The price is $19,000 pesos /$1,144 USD per month.
I am not black but I subscribed nevertheless 😉
I was loving your video till you made it clear that you only like to help black gay men.
Thought your video was about opening yourself for new horizons but you just couldn't leave your divisive racism American butt behind.
Hey I'm gdl now how can get nice apartment here Airbnb 😅
Find a good realtor. They can help you
How much was red door?
$19,000 pesos. I got it for $18,500.
Hey do you know any jobs I could do while living in gdl I am currently in gdl and need help with a job
I’m sorry. I do not. I’m retired
I tried to watch but the annoying music made it impossible..
Sorry you were annoyed. I thought it was light hearted. Keep watching!
I enjoyed the music in the background. It was low enough to still hear the content clearly.
