    Here's a quick review to the updated 2020 Honda Odyssey, here in the Touring trim.
    FULL DISCLOSURE-
    I approached the Dilawri Group and asked if I could produce videos of their vehicles for my channel. They liked my honesty and structure of my reviews. I have created this video for my channel and the dealership is sharing them on their social media platforms too. They have no creative control and do not edit these videos. I create, edit and produce these videos exactly how I create, edit and produce my other reviews from the manufacturers.

      Not exciting at all. I just leased a brand new 2020 odyssey and having issues since day 1 with the entire infotainment system the screen blanks out all the time that means no nav nor backup camera, no music no Bluetooth etc. car is at the Honda service for over a week for the second time and still nothing .... it really sucks

    Like the focus on the changes for 2020. As a current shopper, I appreciate this because most reviews of most cars tend to focus on all new cars or major refreshes. So the details of the trickle changes that may happen in other years don’t get covered. For example, the 10 speed across all trims is a nice thing to know. Thanks.

    I always thought the Odyssey is the best looking minivan in the market today. The one thing that I don’t like about most minivans is to get more room you need to take the seats out completely. Chrysler has the Pacifica with stow and go seats, and with little effort the seats just fold into the floor. I cannot figure out why other manufacturers have not followed Chrysler, it would make their minivans much more desirable. If I do get a minivan when my lease is up on our present vehicle it’s going to be a Pacifica and the main reason is the stow and go seating. Really look forward to your videos, you do a great job of pointing out a vehicles features and what we should expect when we look at those vehicles. God bless, thanks for your expertise on the vehicles you review.

      Thanks for your kind words! I'm a big fan of the Pacifica too, the Stow'n'go seats are still unmatched

      The reason I believe is seat comfort. When we looked anyways the stow and go seats on the Caravan were super thin and flimsy compared to seats in the Odyssey. They are that way so that they can fit under the floor. We decided that it was more important to have more comfortable middle row seats vs ease of storing them. I think I have taken the middle row out maybe 5-6 times in 8 years. Of course if you do it way more often the stow and go is better to have.

      We have a Pacifica Limited and have had a love seat transported in the back, another time a dining table and chairs and all sorts of stuff. Great versatility. The only thing I hate about the car is the metal band that joins the two pieces of the steering wheel. It's heated, but the metal band freezes the palms of your hands in winter. Small gripe, but it's annoying lol

    • @carsnmacs2024
      @carsnmacs2024 Před 4 lety

      Oh, and it has the surround view camera - after you've had it, you won;t want to do without. The Odyssey doesn't even have front parking sensors.

  • @TranTek
    @TranTek Před 4 lety +1

    It would be awesome if Honda can make this to MDX hybrid to assist the torque to move the Odyssey from start and passing.
    Turn off the start and stop off.

  • @leegg2033
    @leegg2033 Před 4 lety +1

    The very reason why the 2020 is much better with 10 speed transmission. My friends Acura MDX 9 speed transmission was having a lot of problems & would cost $5k to replace. The car would not even use the 9th gear. They even reprogrammed the transmission to start in 2nd gear. Get rid of your 9 speed LX because the 9 speed is prone to leak as well. Trade it in for the 10 speed & the bonus is that it gets start stop technology.

      Not for Canada. Most top trim Honda’s are the Touring model

    Thanks for reviewing. Since you actually own an earlier version of the van i wanted to ask how does this drive in the snow / winter conditions? I assume that you have to get a set of winter tires? Any issues with this? Also, I've read some customer complaints about glitches with the entertainment system, was wondering if you could address that as well. Thanks.

    • @maxlandireviews
      @maxlandireviews  Před 4 lety +1

      The family has a set of winter tires, does the job nicely. Cautious driving and good tires is all we need, really no issue driving in the winter. We have suffered minor glitches (screen freezing) but were always solved with turning off and restarting the car

    • @sjgoff
      @sjgoff Před 4 lety +1

      We have a 2018 Odyssey Elite and it does surprising well in winter conditions. The "snow mode" isn't just a gimmick like I thought it would be. I had a set of winter tires ready to order and I never did...

      I think the Elite version has the 550-watt premium sound system with 11 speakers and a subwoofer. Also, the Elite adds multi-zone audio and a wireless phone charger. Another difference would be the folding side mirrors for the Elite version.
