Yes interesting but would be much more useful if he used ingredients and a recipe we could advisor make at home. His dads puts all this hard work and for what 10 min entertainment? Make something we can try to recreate and enjoy at home. PLEASE

New series featuring ingredients and ideas we can actually make. PLEASE
The quintessential Iron Chef. Off the charts spontaneous creativity. It would take me a week of contemplation to come up with the ideas he comes up with at a moment's glance at the ingredients. And he's so casual and chill as he goes about performing absolute culinary bad assery. Susur Lee is nothing but a legend.
How do you know they didn’t think of what to make prior making the vid
@@rjserna752 dude has 40+ years of Michelin star level culinary experience and has been creating his own dishes and recipes within that entire time, is it really that far fetched that someone like that can't come up with ideas on the spot?

Your dad has such a cool nuance to him, seems like a really respectable person
Chef is the cutest person ever, he had me dying at corchata, horjata, horCHA-TTTAA hahahaha, His creativity never ceases to amaze me. Also, lets talk about the editing. Love it, it makes everything funnier and more entertaining. Great job, 9.2 and a half/10

I love how highly his dad rates his own work without being arrogant. It’s so nice to see that level of confidence in ability and confidence in self at such a high level, where you might expect someone to be overly critical of themselves (especially given what he’s working with a lot of the time haha)
Hi, I'm a Chef and Cultural Anthropologist in the southwest. Huge fan of your wonderful Dad.
The word he was searching for was, "Prickly Pear Cactus Fruit." 🌵💖
Belonging to the family Cactaceae and the genus Opuntia these cacti are called tuna, sabra, nopal from the nahuatl word nōpalli, indian fig, luiseno, navut, and cahuilla, but they are most commonly referred to as, “Prickly Pear Cactus.” However, introducing it by genus and species on earth, with latin names, downplays these plants’ importance to the indigenous people of the Southwest. For the peoples of the Southwest, the prickly pear is more than just a cactus, it is a way of life. Food, faith, colonization, changing times, drought survival, medicine, and more, this cactus represents the past, present, and resilient future of its desert-dwelling inhabitants. 🌵💖
Native to North America, prickly pear cactus belong to the large genus of Opuntia, which boasts 150-180 species of flat jointed cactus, under the Cactaceae family. In the 17th century, the prickly pear was distributed to Australia to establish the cochineal dye industry and eventually found sunny dry homes in Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, and Southern Europe. However, the low-growing, shrub-like cactus thrives best in the dry desert of the Southwest and Mexico at 3,000 to 4,000-foot elevation ranges. If you live in any of these climates, chances are every fall you can enjoy the sweet fruits of a prickly pear cactus. 🌵💖
Curious about taste? Prickly pear fruit has a uniquely complex floral flavor. The juice is a bright fuchsia purple color, unparalleled by anything in the natural kingdom. Raw, the fruit has a taste and slightly fibrous texture similar to a pear, with notes of hibiscus and green bell pepper. The juice magnifies these refreshing qualities. As a syrup, it’s luxurious on your tongue, hitting your nose with notes of cherry blossom, honey, and fig. You can try and replicate these flavors by mixing mango, hibiscus, and pear juice, but you will never truly understand its tantalizing flavor until you try it yourself. It's exceptionally hydrating, can help balance blood sugar, and has wonderful health benefits. 🌵💖
Hope you ALL try it soon!🌵💖

um ok
I had the prickly pear cactus candy in Arizona
Uhh appreciate u trying to help but dam
Damn that's a lot of typing for a CZcams comment lol. I must note it is extremely well written, I'm impressed lmao.
Well said! As someone from the Southwest I would definitely recommend trying the fruit one day! The juice goes really well in BBQ sauces!
9.2 for creativity.
*Goes and eats the whole dish himself*
🤣
exactly my thoughts LOL
Honestly, so appreciative of this content because if it wasn't for his son, there is no way he would just be doing this in his free time. Grateful for this
"Try this at home" LMAO- you give me too much credit chef
This is beyond artistry. This is vision from a visionary. The ability to make such different textures, from such different ingredients, from such different cuisines, from such different techniques, from such different experiences is beyond comprehension. What a pleasure, thank you for this video you put together Jet!

i dont get how he can make these ideas ON THE SPOT and then execute them perfectly.
wasn't perfect, needed a bit of more lemon and cinnamon apparently.
It’s so funny that as a chef he both has great pride in his work as well as harshly criticizes and points out ways to improve every step. Relatable lol
he’s funny as hell and a genius at repurposing food. love watching these
So much respect for your dad. He remains just as creative today as he was when he first started out. I remember watching him on an old show called Restaurant Makeover and it was really impressive what he could come up with for chefs who were "limited" in their abilities.
Hahaha “9.2 is high”
Your dad “it’s not a 9.8” 😂😂😂 great man. I’m Mexican and I was amazed at your dad, I definitely wanted to try his chipotle remix! Keep up the good work!
Your dad is the MAN!!! I wish I had a fraction of the cooking knowledge your dad has, because I'm insanely jealous. I wish I could shake his hand in person, because watching your videos that you both make I just feel honored to be in the presence of such a great chef that I can't put into words how thankful I am to be able to see the amazing skills your dad has and that you both put online for so many to watch. Please keep it up and make more!
Tell Susur he made this mexicana very proud & I can’t stress enough how your edits on your dad are everything the corchada was funny but the food label at the end aaah man 💀 been watching you since 10,000 subscribers I’m SO proud of you, your authenticity is everything I love that your such a hidden gem!
Your dad is the cutest! Thanks for sharing him with us 🖤
I like that he appreciates this time with his dad and the fact that he gets to try one of a kind food he looked at his dad like what do you mean try this at home 🤣
These shows are so great. Your father is so nice and gentle to watch, very soothing. Thanks!
Susur never fails to amaze me. As a fellow Mexican, I enjoyed his take on our food! I love his creativity and this series. You can tell he appreciates these challenges, as it pushes his craft, while bonding with you. Keep it up!

I absolutely love the loving relationship you and your father for one another. Wish I could have had that with my own father.
"Metal straw to save the turtles" 🤣 Definitely was not expecting that
My favorite videos, your dad teaching you and us all at the same time is amazing
I love your videos. You dad reminds me so much of my grandpa, in the way he spoke and even looks. (He was Chinese as well) and it’s weird but I feel like watching you and your dad hangout together is like watching me and my grandpa hangout but when I was older. He passed when I was younger. He also would always cook up some of the best food, always unique dishes with the Chinese and Hawaiian background.
Your videos always make me smile. Thanks for the content dude
This one was impressive. He used every single item you gave him. It looked like it tasted good too. This was my favorite transformation yet. Impressive!!
Love your Dad his creativity on this one was over 9000
Legend! Love the interaction between you two! Pure gold!
Jet you’d be surprised how many of us have watched your dad and can do this. Bobby Flay was another great chef. I’ve quit my job as GSM two years ago to go back into the kitchen. Your dad is inspiring. Love the videos.
Why is food network not doing like a parent-son/daughter cooking competition? Like imagine Jet and Susar, Gordon Ramsey snd his daughter there are so many cool chefs with kids around the same age for this.
Iron chef should try taking gourmet food and making it into a fast food style, would be interesting
Reverse Curse technique is nearly impossible for most sorcerers- I mean chefs
love these guys, every father and son relationship should be like this. You guys set a good fun example.
Your father is an amazing man. You're very lucky to have him! Make sure he knows every day!
Thank you for sharing the video too. Very interesting to see a master at work.
Try this at home 😂😂 had me rolling. But hey he might be right some chef might want to try it.
Your dad is so creative when it comes to cooking
Wow! The crunch as you cut into your pie was so satisfying. It looked beautiful and was prolly very tasty with the sauces. Loved the addition of lemon foam.
This was so enjoyable to watch. Thank you family!
I swear, I've had the same corchata/horchata conversation with my grandfather. That little exchange between you two definitely made me laugh.
I wasnt really a foodie until I came to this channel. Cooking's my new passion👍
I love this cause although you might not enjoy cooking as much as your pops but you're investing your time with something he loves todo. I'm sure he loves it more than you know. Protect that man!!
I love how close they are. Definitely a good family.
Like I've said before.. I'm jealous of you and your dad's relationship. It makes me happy watching this
I think my favorite episode is still the Mac and cheese one, he made such interesting dishes and a really unique way, in his own kitchen, so cool
You guys have just the best chemistry I love these videos.
i wish my father was still around. Cherish every moment you have with him. Great video btw
Your dad is a limitless source of creativity
This is some of the best content on the interwebz dude. Your dad is a straight culinary pimp. Keep making this vids plz Jet! Merry Christmas to you and yours !

Coming from a lil girl who used to watch your dad on Iron Chef at 1-3am in elementary school. This was so cool to watch. 😭❤️
Love these. Nice to see another side of his personality, then just a serious chef
Your Dad is a G! He’s hilarious without even trying. Keep the vids coming bro.

Love watching you and your dad do this
Very creative. I wish I could try it. I think I'd give the dish a 9.8 out of 10
9.8/11
You should just hand this channel over to your dad at this point lol
Has to be the best video out of the series so far, absolutely insane watching ur dad go to work
I love listening to your Dad. He is so amazballs to watch cooking!!!❤❤❤❤
The way Iron Chef just deconstructed everything and animorphed it into gourmet
Susur is a legend! ❤️
Incredible! Love the videos , the vibes between you and your dad are amazing. Your dad is a character and very cool . The content is so organic feeling and filled with so many great dynamics that all come together. Creative, artistic, humor, relations , and truly genuine display of passion for cheffing at a high level . You should pitch the concept to a network for a show for chefs to compete with this format . It’s very interesting and entertaining
I'm glad you brought these back! now we need them in 4k por favor!

You mean to tell me Chipotle wouldn't just give you meat with sauce on the side as simple service to you, their customer?

11:14 Hey don't underestimate your viewers. I'm going to try this. Yes, I can make lemon foam.
He just took Chapotle and made it real food! Bravo. (no hate please. I just don't like Chipotle restaurant generally speaking.)
Great video. Keep 'em coming.
Yeah I didn't understand that part as well. I go to Chipotle quite often and if you order a bowl they always let you get salsas on the side for free
Been watching your vids for a while. Just got to say you've got one of, if not the best dad ever. Keep these videos coming. LOVE THEM!!!
Your dad always amazes me with his creativity!
Protect that man at all costs. So genuine
C'Mon should have given him 9.5 or higher. The creativity alone was next level and the pastry looked unreal. Im curious what you would have rated the drink...looked creamy and tasty
The sad truth is the kid preferred regular Chipotle over dad's cooking. Cause his palate is shit.
Your dad is amazing both as a chef and a dado. Keep em comin'
This is great to see! Keep up the great work, thank you!
I love this series. I just went back and watched all of them. Can’t wait to see what he does with…
Wendys, Arby’s, Subway, Jersey Mike’s, Dairy Queen, different pizza places, Panera, Jimmy John’s, Mr. beast burger etc…
As I’m listing these, it’s pretty sad how fast food has taken over a lot people’s diet. Quality has been substituted for convenience
I give it a 11 out of 10 chef!
Such a joy to watch, the talent to the editing. The whole package wrapped up for seriously Nice, simple enjoyment. Nothing quite like it on the Globe
I love the videos with Susur. Keep them coming Jet! I have been eating at Susur's restaurants
since Lotus where he actually cooked my meal 27 years ago. Lobster salad wrapped in mango and rack of lamb with mint chile chutney. Amazing!
Would like to see your dad turn what would be considered shitty buffet food into a gourmet meal
Your dad was having a stroke trying to say cactus instead of cactus fruit 😭
Amazing. Always love when you have these videos.
This is the most brilliant chef and artist!!! Your dad is amazing!!
