Get a history book my friend. The land was not taken but divided between the Jews and the Arabs who both had no state before the division. (yes I know there was a Jewish state called Israel 2 millenia earlier but that was a long time ago) As the video shows the Arabs did not want to share and went all in.. and lost. What poor quality outlets such as TRT fail to mention is that not all the 700k Arabs were forced to flee. In fact many were promised by their leaders in Egypt en Syria that they would return after driving the Jews away. Not all adhered this poor advise, hence the large Arab population in Israel. On the other hand about the same number of Jews were forced to flee from islamic countries to Israel, something that they fail to mention when they want to press a one sided view on you.
So what can we learn from all this? Don't have biased sources such as TRT as your only source of information. Plenty of sources out there on the web and yes, many will try to convince you that their point of view is correct. Fact is that complex issues need some digging and with algoritms nowadays it takes some effort to get out of the bubbles they create. God bless you in your search!

This is totally false. The Palestinian Arabs absolutely had militias and armed forces as there was a civil war going on before May 14. In fact, one of the reasons the Arabs failed to defeat Israel was the lack of coordination between the invading Arab states and the Palestinians in the Mandatory territory, who had totally distinct interests. Consider that neither Jordan nor Egypt did anything to facilitate creation of a Palestinian state between 1948 and 1967 in Gaza and the West Bank.

What I still don't get is that Turkey occupies Kurdish lands, Cypriotic lands and also holds parts of Syria and Iraq. They have commited genocide on a million Greeks and a million and a half Armenians a century ago. The Nakba would have still happen. There were already multiple massacres happening before the Arabs states attacked. It was even happening before Israel officially declared independence when the whole area was still under British mandate.
This is such trash, the ceasefire favored the Arabs as much as Israel, who could have used the time to coordinate their attacks with each other but instead their rivalries prevented a coordinated attack. The arms embargo actually favored the Arabs because the British continued to arm the Arab Legion in Jordan. The simple fact is that other than the Legion, the other Arab armies were in terrible shape and thought they could win any easy victory and carve up the mandate. Not a single one was interested in the creation of a Palestinian state and the truth is, that if Israel had lost, there still wouldn’t have been a Palestinians state because Jordan and Egypt would have split it amongst themselves.
