0:10 In his book "The Population of Palestine", american demographer Justin McCarthy details the evolution of the population in the area from 1877 to 1915 by religious groups. In page 10, there is a table that shows the info by year. In 1877 there were 127k muslims, 2.2k christians and 0.38k jews. In 1915, there were 600k muslims, 40k jews and 80k christians.
By 1947, jews were 1/3 of the population. The jewish inmigration was accelerated by the zionist movement since the 1890s.

And then they brought jews from Europe because the Europeans couldn’t live peacefully and accept Jews they decided to kick all of them out and pass the guilt to Palestinians for what has happened to the jews it’s Palestineans who are treating jews so unfairly ! Palestinians were killed and murdered on the hands of militarized jew men which the British army armed to fight the Palestinians! Millions of Palestinians we’re slaughtered women men children old and young . Palestinian lands and homes were taken under the watch of the British army that was helping militarize the Jews to attack Palestinians and kill them ! And drive them of their land .

Love this video, as it provides the most unbiased coverage of the conflict I’ve ever seen on CZcams. Somethings I would’ve like to see/hear more about was the troop composition during the wars (e.g.: the 1948 war, where both sides were actually evenly matched in terms of composition). Additionally, it might be worth mentioning the role of soviet/western influence throughout the years of this conflict.

Adding on here, I would have liked to hear more about the Oslo accords, as the standing PM at that time, Yitzhak Rabin, was assassinated not even a year after its proposal by a zionist. Following his death, Netanyahu succeeded him, a man who believes that Hitler was pressured in creating the Holocaust due to the influence of some Arabs. You can imagine how well he treated the Palestinians when he was (and is still) in power.

There are many important topics that were shortened or ignored, such as the reaction of the Palestinian people after Oslo, the two Palestinian intifadas, the founding of Hamas, and the condition of the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank and those who remain of them in Israel. I wish I had mentioned them.

Sorry but this video was biased in its many omissions. He skipped over a lot, not just the Palestine riots of 1929 which caused the Irgun and Lehi to be formed. He also skipped over the fact that the straights of Tiran and Suez canal were closed to Israeli shipping, and the Egyptians and Syrians were amassing troops on Israel's border, when Israel's Airforce did a "pre-emptive attack"in 1967. The fact that it was the British who brought the idea to the Zionists World congress for the Balfour declaration only after the communists took over Russia because they had faulty intelligence that the communists were ran by Jews, (that was the Mensheviks who lost to the Bolsheviks who were primarily not Jewish), and they thought by offering the Jews a state it would sway communist Russia to stay allied with the UK in WW1. It was also the UK and France who masterminded and convinced Israel to join them in the "Suez Crisis" a war to get back control over the Suez canal that Egypt had nationalized from British and French private companies. "Nasser's response was the nationalization of the Suez Canal. On 26 July, in a speech in Alexandria, Nasser gave a riposte to Dulles. During his speech he deliberately pronounced the name of Ferdinand de Lesseps, the builder of the canal, a code-word for Egyptian forces to seize control of the canal and implement its nationalization.[108] He announced that the Nationalization Law had been published, that all assets of the Suez Canal Company had been frozen, and that stockholders would be paid the price of their shares according to the day's closing price on the Paris Stock Exchange.[109] That same day, Egypt closed the canal to Israeli shipping.[110] Egypt also closed the Straits of Tiran to Israeli shipping, and blockaded the Gulf of Aqaba, in contravention of the Constantinople Convention of 1888. Many argued that this was also a violation of the 1949 Armistice Agreements.[111][112]" He also stated that Israel had violated United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181, when it was the Arab armies, and Palestinian Fedayeen who attacked Israel 1st violating 181. When Israel declared independence it was only in the areas they controlled already, after they were attacked all that of course went out the window, because Israel took over the areas it had won, and Egypt and Jordan took over the areas they had won in Palestine.....181 specifically called for the creation of both a Jewish and Arab Palestinian state, however Egypt occupied Gaza, and Jordan occupied the West Bank.

The impartiality is quite a good illusion. Some damning facts are mentioned about both parties to the conflict, not giving the viewer the nagging feeling that what they're watching is propaganda. However, when there were some critical omissions that couldn't be merely a honest mistake (or just for the sake of brevity), they were always removing causes to the actions of Israel, e.g. that the militias Irgun and Lehi were only formed after 1929 Palestine riots that saw a lot of Arab violence against Jews.
Judging by positive feedback, it is quite clear that the subversion was quite efficient.

I think this video misses crucial details. For example the fact that there were already jewish populations in the Middle-Rast and Palestine, even European jews (Ashkenazi) that settled on the invitation of the Ottoman Empire. Jews were treated better under the Ottomans than Medieval and early modern Europe, but were still second rate citizens and usually invited because they had a lot of capital and thus were interesting as a source for taxation and skilled workers. Besides this Jews have over the millenia always tried to move back to what is Palestine. Their population there was largely eradicated due to the catholic crusades in the region. Also British mandate palestine also included Jordan, which radical zionists like that of Irgun tried to claim as Israel (you can even see it in their logo). Besides this Arabs in the region although protesting their migration to the region sold land to the jews often voluntarily. They even asked the british to ban the sale of land to the jews but would still sell it. During that time there were also conflicts that flared up between both groups woth killings as a result. The British tried also to propose a one-state solution in which both groups would enjoy equal rights and religious protection, but the Muslim Arabs rejected all proposals and even invitations to help organise and contribute to the shaping of a political state in Palestine by the British.

My country has accepted from 2010 to 2022 2.144.609 immigrants, while having 1.427.802 emigrants (numbers are from statbel, statistics agency of Belgium). The country is around 11 million people. Depending on the ethnic make-up of the people immigrating and emigrating (which I cannot find), this basically means that my country is no longer culturally or ethnically 'pure' as some would say. I as a Belgian and many other Western Europeans have to accept that. I cannot see why we should have this standard apply to us Europeans, while not applying it to other cultures as well. Sure I wish there was less migration in my own country and I do sympathize with the Palestinians that have been forced out of their homes by Israeli's. The last thing I'm saying is that Israel or Israeli's are innocent. But if we Europeans are expected to just accept immigration from cultures and ethnicities different from our own and sometimes quite hostile to our own, it'd be pure hypocrisy to not have this standard being applied to the rest of the world. I understand in the Islamic world this does not apply, but in Europe this is what our political leaders, the media and many who do have a clear voice in society seem to expect from their population. In my opinion, it is unfair to expect this from its own population while treating foreigners with a different set of standards.

    1. There was some kind of negotiation and agreement between the Jews and Arabs in the form of the Faisal-Weizmann agreement in 1919 (although some claim that it wasn't really serious).
    2. The war of 1948 began actually on November 30th 1947, right after the vote on the partition plan in the UN. It started as a civil war in Palestine, and after the state of Israel was established (in May 1948) it expanded also to war with the Arab countries in the region.

another nitpick I would add is that zionism is in fact a colonial venture, regardless of how people felt regarding their safety before and after Nazism in Europe. the leaders of zionism, reformed zionism, their connections, their documented pledges and negotiations undisputedly display zionism as a colonial project seeking the Palestinian territory in order to build the foundations of a jewish state. the history of the JNF the largest owner of land in Israel would also confirm this. the purchase of land, labour and housing segregation and discrimination was strategically done to take over the territory rather than emigrate and settle in it.

Balanced, not quite, accurate, neither. Actually there is a lot of bias, but either you share it or you just can't see it.

Just because the brits occupied it doesnt mean there were no indigenous people . Britain illegally occupied Palestine and committed horrific atrocities to the Palestinian people.

Something not mentioned but seems vital is the fact that jordan controlled the west bank and it was seen as jordanian territory for quite a while. As well as the counter arab immigration that was propogated by egypt and other arab countries as a counter to jewish immigration.

There was counter immigration from Syria and Egypt. Approximately 1/3-40% of Palestinians can trace their roots to one of those two countries.

And yet, the research was flawed. The chronology shows some bias. The mention of Jewish militias Irgun and Lehi (without even mentioning Haganah) before mentioning any Arab violence? And that's not the only problem with this video. Anyway, I'd bet on some off-screen researcher having hidden agenda, rather than Griffin himself.

I don’t have many issues with this, but I think the lack of context for some items is problematic and another few minutes would have gone far. The main item of concern regards Lebanon. The PLO was in Lebanon after they had been expelled from Jordan after an attempted armed coup of the Jordanian king. After their failure, Jordan kicked them out of the country and the PLO went to southern Lebanon. From there, the PLO continued raiding northern Israel leading to the Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon. The PLO didn’t just attack Israel either, but attacked Lebanon as well and the Lebanese army had tried, and failed, to expel the PLO. All of this, and more I won’t bother with here, led to the Lebanese Civil War. The video almost makes it seem like Israel attacked Southern Lebanon for no reason, but that isn’t true.

Excellent video as always, love your history vids! Respectfully, two corrections:
The Palestinian flag didn’t exist until the 70s with the realization of the PLO
Secondly, there was no clear, concrete Palestinian Arab national movement until the 1920s, Dr Benny Morris mentions that in length in a recent interview he gave
