New Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AEBT00167
This video shows you how to install a new TRQ tensioner pulley in your 2003-2008 Toyota Corolla. The tensioner is a springed device that keeps the serpentine belt in your vehicle at the correct tension to keep it on the pulleys, without being so tight that it breaks. Eventually the tensioner may become worn, loose, or stuck, resulting in belts that squeak, slip, or fall off.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2003 Toyota Corolla
    2004 Toyota Corolla
    2005 Toyota Corolla
    2006 Toyota Corolla
    2007 Toyota Corolla
    2008 Toyota Corolla
    Tools you will need:

Not for my specific car, but close enough (Celica GTS) and you also listed the torque specs. Very well done. Finally a video that doesn't cut corners. Thank you!

It loox easy but it s very very difficult to wrench or get ur hands in there. The engineers should be fired for this. They make it so a child can get their lil arms n hands in there. Hate workin on this

If I knew the engine had to be jacked up I woulda used a 17mm or 11/16 socket and wratchet instead of wrenching the bolt out for 20 mins then jacking it up regardless

Today I was replacing an alternator on my 2004 toyota corolla, it was smooth sailing until I went to listen the belt to get it back on the alternator and sheared the tensioner hexagonal boss. Will I have to replace the tensioner itself or is there a way to still loosen tention on the belt

Would it make a difference if I put the new belt on while the engine was already mounted? Also what if I only have a shitty carjack and some good jackstands

I think it is spring loaded I mean mine fell apart and I took it out the top pin was just sitting inside of the bushing housing which was completely gone but there was a spring inside of there
