    Nice comparison vid. In my experience wacky rigged GYBC Senkos with an O ring are fantastic Bass catchers. The O rings make the soft senkos last so much longer. Also I like Dingers for shallow water as they have a slower fall rate than senkos. Again this is when they are rigged weightless or wacky style

    My reasons are just about the same as to why I usually choose the Yum Dingers over the Yamamotos. I also really like the slit in the Dingers for the hook points. I still buy the Yamamotos occasionally. I usually fish my senkos weightless, and the Yamamotos have more weight, but just don't do well dragging over pads and through grass.

In a tournament? I might have stuck with the proven name brand product. I did my share of clearance bin shopping, but mostly for lures and soft plastics that worked for me that were being discontinued.

    One thing your video did not cover is fishing it weightless or wacky which are the most popular ways to fish a soft stick bait. That is where the Senko shines, it shimmy’s and provide undulating action on the fall. It does the same thing when fished wacky. The hard stick baits do not have this action and under tough conditions that extra action gets the Senko bites. Also with the salt content the fish hold on to bait longer. The Senko is the number one selling stick bait and considered the gold standard for all serious bass fisherman. In fact Tackle Warehouse sells many different soft stick baits ther are the only one that has “best seller”. There is a market for the Yum Dinger as you stated price and durability are advantages of the Yum Dinger.

    Both baits work but I do a lot of weightless fishing. Senkos are are heavier so they cast further and sink better

    Those short strikes are why I like the 3.5 inch worms or just bite the senko to the size of the hook where u have a lil bit of tail it helped me with hook ups a lot

    I've been catching fish with that exact Yum Dinger with the same hooks, but i actually got the 0/4. I didn't realize they where the budget senko though. i like the hook slit they have.

    Those green and white yum in the clearance bin, MAN?! Scoop those ASAP! It’s so cool that I used those very baits today and I caught a few nice ones , 6 lb 1 oz , largemouth , followed by two 5’s and couple 3’s. Burleigh falls Canada 🇨🇦 represent. If your ever up this way , could be fun! I have cottage on water to fish from , we’re going Muskie fishing at 530am

    $1 vs $6.72 which is almost $7 which is almost $10 so I'll say $10 for the thumbnail even though it's actually closer to $5. CZcamsr logic.

    IMO: I use both of these brands and both these types of soft plastics and I catch solid fish all day on both. The only factor as to which I'll throw (excluding what colors I plan to use for water clarity) is what rig type I'm using, texas rig I'll run either or just because u can fish it so many ways, dropshot I prefer GY's due to them being a little softer and having more action on less rod movement than the yum's, same with whacky rig. I'll switch to yums mostly when I'm fishing heavy clutter/cover and I may need to tear that bait through some junk they just hold together better. Overall both great brands and bait types, really the only thing that keeps me going back n forth is their colors.

    whats the point of doing cheap vs expensive when you don't pic the same colors. that literally gives one of the sankos an advantage. its a cheap vs expensive not a junebug vs green pumpkin

    • @KinqK00pa

      Very good point. Because then we can't decipher wether or not the fish chose the baits do how they are designed or made vs which which color they prefer most

  • @brandonwelch8270
    @brandonwelch8270 Před 5 lety +5

    This is definitely not valid. For one, you didn’t use the same color. That invalidates the whole challenge. Another thing is that you are going to a farm pond where the fish aren’t very pressured. You should go to a pressured body of water. These baits are definitely different as far as the action. You should use them in a variety of techniques

      They are both dark colors. You're splitting hairs. Under water, especially overcast, they're going to look like the same dark shadowy stick thingy. It's not like he used Morning Dawn and Black & Blue. You'd have a point if that were the case.
