Doesnât matter how many videos I watch over the years⊠the calm sound of that paddle hitting the water and the nature in the background will NEVER get old.
His voice is also very soothing . Wish I was half the fisherman he is .
Well said sir.
Seriously! Iâd watch this even if he never caught anything
@@Philc231 A lot of it is the waters he fishes. Some great great rivers up there. He makes it look easy though.
The natural background especially in this video is really stunning.
Me when I go fishing: "caught one largie, not a bad day!"
Ndyakangler: "caught 20 smallest, could've been better"
keep up that great work man lmao
He's blessed with a fantastic fishery there combined with a solid knowledge of it and the fish he's targeting.
Seriously! I've caught only one smallie on a plopper this year. He's so lucky and a great bass angler
I used one while camping last weekend and i caught several bass on it and was very happy. The paint did take a beating but still very pleased.
My record is like 4 perch in 10 minutes he overdoes everyone lol
You are the Bob Ross of fresh water fishing and my favorite channel!
Hahahaha I was thinking the same thing!
Beat description of him I've read! You are 100percent correct!
The only thing that NDYAK Angler is missing, is that curly hairdo, that Ol' Bob Ross used to have. He sure did know how to paint, though, didn't he? With a happy little tree here, a happy little cloud over there, and plenty of great-lookin' landscape, throughout those pictures that he painted.
I sure do miss Ol' Bob. That smile, and that very positive attitude of his, was extremely contagious!
The most soft spoken bass angler I have ever seen or heard.
Pro tip...drill a small hole on top of the main body of the bait and inject spray foam till it's full. Then use baking soda and super glue to seal the hole up. It will remain buoyant for the life of the lure.
Big plopper user here, you able to tell what size/type of drill bit you are using? As Matt stated in vid, they aren't cheap...I have some colors that are extremely hard to find and don't wanna ruin the lure.. thinking titanium pointed but they can cause distruction just like a Harbor Freight special..thanks!!
@@stevenmadden316 just use any new sharp bit for wood. Your drilling into plastic, not metal or cement lol. Just make sure you use a bit diameter large enough to accept the application tube of the spray foam can.
Your economy of movement and expertise with all aspects of your equipment is simply amazing.
Yak, person, rod and camera melted together as one.
Thank you
Mmhmm. It's what I call "The Superlative Collective"!
Ain't he doin' a great job?!?
Thanks for taking us along as always..it's a pleasure watching you boat those smalliesđ
Pretty sure NDYak can catch a shark with a cardboard box.
Always good stuff, keep em coming!
đ€Ł Truth!
loll, love it đ
Lolđ đ đ đ đ đ
I can never get enough of his content. He's down to earth and not afraid to use "cheap stuff" I myself can't afford the best so I appreciate his videos like this
đ đ đ đ đ đ
Ahhhh another good morning with my coffee and my fav CZcams bass fisherman. I bought those pliers you use after watching how easy they are to use and how effective they are. Big thumbs up.
Whatâs the brand?
@@knottedup3711 They're in the description. Umpqua is the brand I think.
"Thanks for coming along with me again. I'll see ya next time."
Nostalgia rising...
Have been away for a while, but just relax into your videos like a comfy chair. Your calm demeanour, clean language and guaranteed catch of quality fish is the best out there. Hope the abundant rain has not caused you much difficulty. Good fishing always.
I will say the Ozark Trail stuff is pretty good quality for the price point. Their "senkos" and soft stickbaits seem to be quality plastic, and i myself got one of these OT ploppers and i looove it. Its well built, got sharp hooks and it has caught me a ton of fish! I got the silver and black colored one.
Great video, glad i found your channel!
I just bought a bunch of fishing lures including top water lures. I got a frog, a sunfish, and a whopper plopper. Canât wait to try âem out
Same here, I picked up some jig heads, tiny crankbaits and soft baits too.
Donât know what it is about your videos, maybe itâs the serenity, the amazing fishing, the fact that every cast goes in the perfect spot?! This channel is somehow special, thank you.
I appreciate your videos without annoying music and ridiculous overkill commentary. Bravo, it's a pleasure watching and great information!
The Bob Ross of kayak fishing.
Raining over my way so hot coffee and watching a real fisherman do his thing.đđșđžđ»
You can fish in the rain . The fish donât mind , theyâre already wet
Thanks again for being out just being a regular guy enjoying kayak fishing, & being a beast at it! I'll be out again, miss it so,these videos help me tremendously, as I'm fighting cancer! God bless you!
Hope you get well soon. đ
The Bob Ross of Kayak Fishing. Loving it!
Nice bronze backs. That first one got my heart going.
Iâve never seen anyone toss a lure with such accuracy. Color me impressed. Great video, great commentary. Kudos.
not downplaying his ability by any means, but that is why you use a baitcast reel. Control.
@@kylemolletfishing9123 Iâve never used one but Iâm looking at them now.
Enough already
Always a good time. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Note to self, sometimes it's tougher to catch a green Smallie flopping in the bottom of the yak, than it is to tire them out in the water!đđ
This guy's the Bob Ross of fishing. Keep it up!
I can't say enough good things about your casting precision, always impresses me. Keep it up man!
Just bought some of their swim lures a few months ago and a 7ft pole. I was really impressed honestly.
Hey, I just want to say you inspired me to fish in a kayak the other day and it was fantastic
Hahahaha I can relate to that so much - even bought a Tarpon 120 + BB paddle. And that was a nightmare to ship it all to Germany :D
Ive been in the market for kayak. I bet its a game changer
Funny when the little smally jumped into the yak with you ! Glad you didnât get hooked. Nice show as usual
Happy Sunday
It is now
THAT FIRST SMALLMOUTH STRIKE WAS FREAKING EPIC!!! YOUR VIDEOS MAKE MY DAY WHEN IM AT WORK LOL!!! IM GOING BASS FISHING MONDAY FOR HOGS!!! BOOM FISH ON ALL FIRED UP LOL!!! YES YOU SHOULD HAVE 500,000+ SUBSCRIBERS!!! ONE OF THE BEST FISHING CHANNELS ON CZcams BROTHER!!!
Good energy brings in the bigguns. Hope ur crushing it today.
HELLZ YEAH BRO!!!
Your channel needs more recognition. Some of the best fishing content out there đ
Featured on the NIKKO website
Dude gets half a million views without thumbnailing a big breasted woman in booty shorts. What more can you ask for? CZcams sells sex so Iâm proud of what heâs been able to accomplish. Richard Gene the Fishing Machine doesnât get those kinds of numbers.
Man, the accuracy of these casts is mind blowing. I would've lost about all my lures trying to cast where you do!
These smallies are ferocious!
Wonderful video as always. Beautiful scenery, calm commentary and big fish, well cared for. Thanks!
At 4:44 I jumped out my skin!
Dayum!
Watch the fish⊠He sees it coming and drops back and waits for it to pass the lumps of grass he was hiding behind. He actually went for it diagonally like a Safety in the backfield. I love Smallies. I love watching Matt gitâem!
It was pretty cool watching the footage of that strike! I donât think I saw that fish swim by at first as I was fishing.
@@ndyakangler I thought he was already there. But seeing him back out of the cover to position himself to cut it off was amazing. Great job, Matt.
It's a bird. It's a plane. It's "Super Fish"!!! That fish jumping into your Kayak was amazing. Another great episode Matt. Looking forward to the next one.
Have a great week ahead.
God Bless you.
i sometimes forget to put like only because I AM STUNTED by how you feel the fish and deliver the bait ... pure MAGIC !
The same happens to me from time to time.
You have quickly become one of my favorite fishing channels. You have some AMAZING content! đđŁ
Iâm learning a lot from your videos and I love how itâs just enough to not be overwhelming. Iâll watch others and itâs almost like a completely different language when they talk about gear and lures and such. Love the content, keep it coming and happy fishing!
I just watched your videos for the first time as they came through my feed. Itâs like watching Roland Martin fishing back when I was a kid mixed with a little Bob Ross, just mix in some âhappy cloudsâ and your it man. Awesome content.
Ndyak I finally caught my first smallie on a whopper plopper! First top water bite! It was amazing best fight ever! Im hooked now! Thank you! Mac
Thatâs awesome! Congrats!
My favorite part about your videos when your fishing the whopper ploppers are how the video goes from peace and calm to pure chaos in seconds. I have genuinely jumped when some of your fish explode on the whopper plopperđ
Anyone ever tell you that youâre like the Bob Ross of fishing? Always enjoy the great fishing. Cheers.
Are we not gonna talk about how fast he got it out of the package so quick
I don't know how I stubbled across you video, but 1) I'll be looking for that bait 2) I used to watch fishing on TV back in the 90s and I wish you were on there. Your videos, voice, and cadence are very relaxing and engaging. I literally feel like I'm just out fishing with my buddy watching this. Throwing you a sub from Fla. đ€
Been watching you a long time now and it's the best fishing show around great job Matt!
That's the one! I find that Ozark Trail plopper works better than the name brand.
Huh, sucks that you had issues with yours. I've been using mine for months without any problems.
Just came across your channel for the first time, beautiful River, great casting skills and I love the sound of your voice so peaceful and calm it's like fishing with Bob Ross love it! You've got a new subscriber to your channel.
I live for that paddle noise
Iâve learned brand doesnât matter as much as the fisherman itself. Iâm not saying go cheap 100% of the time BUT if you can save the money and get the same results ..why not !! Great content
Love when you fish the plopper
6:17 before you start your retrieve, give your rod tip a short quick snap with rod tip up to get that blade turning.
Bro is the Bob Ross of fishing. I love it!
ND say: "THAT WAS SICK!" đ đ€Ł
My brother and noticed the same problem with the 90 size, so now we stick to the 75 as well. That action in the beginning is extremely important.
You're so lucky to have such awesome, aggressive fish to catch regularly! So jealous! lol
Skill
Me too Kevin.
I just watched your video. Thanks for showing everyone the expensive and cheaper model baits use and good/not so good opinions. Great job!!!
That first fish that came from the right, straight power !
OâŠâŠ.mâŠ..gâŠâŠ
He IS the Bob Ross of fishing!
Iâm a believer!!
the Bob Ross of fishing nation nice
Ya know it's a good day of fishin when they jump right in your lap. =-)
Hello . I'm watching your wonderful fishing video in Korea. Thank youđđđđ°đ·
That small guy jumping in the kayak was funny, great video as always!
i love it when they jump into your boat hahaha thank you for letting us watch you fish
That first one was intense!
Love your videos, man! Just started fishing myself last month. Caught my second pike this past week and it was about 36 inches!
Everyone thinks they can hop in a kayak and kill it like ndyakangler. Man I love fishing but I could watch his videos all day. So exciting while being so peaceful. Great job everytime
15:40 had me in tears. That fish wanted to fight you hahaha. keep up the great content.
Thank you for letting me enjoy time on the river with you you are my favorite fishing channel.
My favorite video yet! Love when the fish flew into the boat! đ
Excellent video ! So peaceful! FISH ON!
That first bite was insane lol
His voice is the Bob Ross of fishing.
I have rarely had that much action on any fishing experience, so hat's off to you for your overall skill.
My 2 sons and I love your Chanel. Recently rented a cottage that gave us access to 3 kayaks. We happily fished all day and night pretending to be you with great results. Thanks for the memories and great fishing !
Thatâs awesome! My daughter is about 15 months old now, I canât wait to start teaching her how to fish!
I live in the home of Wal-mart. The ozarks definitely have some underrated smallmouth streams. Ozark Trail a great name for their products.
PBS needs to give this man a show called The Joy of Fishing
Top water king đ. Letâs go !!!! That ozark whopper plopper is not to bad I see I will definitely pick some up .
awwww good Sunday morning fishy action...better than on TV ;)
That first one DESTROYED that Ozark!
NDYak you rock! Love the channel and content! I'm here for the algorithm! Peace
I saw that fist fish coming, he wanted that and was committed before he even got there. No second thoughts. Awesome strike.
There is a river In believe or not IL 'Jist one and a half south of Chicago, " Called the Kankakee river .It flows through parts of Indiana through IL and dumps in to the Desplains river at Wilmington. This river is infested with Small mouth bass ! My experiences on the river is you have to be there early morning to get the quality size ones . Or top water on a full moon . Other species include Northern pike Walleye crappy rock bass yellow bass Channel and flathead catfish .Some very nice blue gill in the back waters At one time the Kankakee river back in the 1980s had the record white Crappy state record. Almost 4lbs. ( Insane) And every once in a blue moon an alligator gar . Not that often. Take care " Good fishing" . I have to look through your stuff for pan fishing. I love fresh pearch for shore lunch.
Subscribed đ Keep your eyes and Ears open for any Squatch activity đŁ.
lol right into the boat ha! nice!
Thank you for taking us fishingâŠsure was nice watching you land the smallies. Use the original plopped, its definitely a quality lure.
I LOLâd inside when you saidâŠ
âIâm not after those little ones, Iâm after those CHUNKSâđ
Topwater bites never get old!!!
As a fly fisherman from Colorado I live in Kentucky in the whopper flopper is always my go to lure! Great videođđ
The original plopper style bait was designed/built by Joe Bucher years ago as a big surface musky bait,
... then every company and their mother made one , named it
11:15 mannn what a moment he threw it right at his mouth
I caught three small mouth bass on the Salt River within 30 minutes using an old torpedo lure. The lure is a 4 1/2" inch wood lure green, red, and off white paint with two stainless steel spinners on in the front one in the back, and two sets of triple hooks.
Huh... I've been using the 90 size plopper since last year and I never realized it wasn't supposed to take a few feet to start plopping. I'll have to upgrade to the 75, i tried one of River2Sea's 60 size plopper and it was a lot of fun but a pike swallowed it whole...
That Ozark top water sounds nice!
I swear you sound like the Bob Ross of the fishing worldđ.
Bob Ross of fishing.
"Come here you." Gets me every time.
That opening shot was just BEAUTIFUL..that fish inhaled it... Perfect đâïžâ„ïžđŁđčđ¶đșđž
Glad to see I am not the only one who gets hung up landing a fish!
That 5 bucks was well worth it for those quality of fish I would say. Another fantastic day on the water.
I agree! I could have just as easily gone through a $5 pack of plastics and lost a couple jigs to snags spending the afternoon on the river.
Haha everyone makes a plopper style bait now!
