I have three female guppies in my 4 foot community tank as well as various types of tetras and a pair of angels....I have not seen my guppies touch my angels.. ..try them with a omnivore pellet that floats...my female guppies go crazy for them and it may be they are craving more protein..hence going for the stationary and slimey target -the angels.
I've got a problem with 2 gourami ganging up on my angelfish ...all 3 are female so I was thinking of adding a male angelfish to give the female some backup to the gourami my gourami seem to be real assholes but only to my one angelfish
Have you considered Croaking Goraumis to keep the guppy population down, mine will take guppies right up to an inch long and they are only about three inches long.
I have a really big goldfish (about 7 inches long) in a tank with a smaller crawfish and ive seen the crawfish stand with her claws in the air and waits for the fish to swim by and snips at him and his fins are slightly snipped up and im moving them into a much bigger tank soon
Is there a FROG in that tank!? I swear at the start you can see it move from the left down and into the cave in the middle. What sort of frog do you mix with fish?
Didn't know that. I have the same problem with my angels. I bought angels to keep the endler population at bay. I guess the endler females think: "payback is a bitch" or something :-) Cheers
Jake Micallef I agree - I've had angelfish for years and that definitely looks like fungus or there is a weird mouth disease that they can have for quite awhile.
heidi stafford I have a 40g with 7 angels and I've never seen it before though it's only been running for a year and a bit but that definitely looks like a fungal infection
How about.. taking the baby guppies to a fish store and donate them ? It always made me sad to see tanks fill with fish to feed other fish. And you see.. you made the mistake, not the guppies. pardon my spelling but English is not my first languish.
guppys in the BGKF thank would be actually pretty nice I think :). And the tiger barb would probably eat them... I really like does little guppys though :). Im surprise how a single one is able to do so much damage to an angel, but in time, my danios have prove to be nasty lol
Lol thought you weren’t gonna get into it. Nice angels.
Interesting I didn’t think they would be but you Learn something new. Love your tanks 👍👍
My molly is always tearing at my angelfish’s fins, so I’m glad to see that I’m not alone
Mollies and guppies can interbreed. If you move the guppy into the tank with the mollies, you will get "muppies."

Some guppies are nippers are some aren't. I've had a few that were really problematic over the years. Most are pretty easy going though.
wow I'd never guess guppies could be so nippy
tetras are tail nippers in my tanks ended up removing all tetras barbs and then my community tank stopped having tails shredded.
I think you should put her in the gourami tank because there's a guppy in there already and they enjoy being together.
Also that's one badass guppy girl if she's taking on your angel
try to just keep male guppies with angel fish
greetz from holland and have a nice day
Awwww poor angel ...

I'll check it out if I see them.
You could put them with the gudgeon, or put the gugeon with the gouramies...that would be nice and interesting to see I think.

Hey Dan, I noticed that mosquitofish are notorious fin-nippers. Maybe that female guppy is mostly mosquitofish?
Just got to the part where you said you've had fun-nipping problems from guppies before. Never mind!
They are closely related.
funny. my diamond tetra's are the nippers in the tank. my guppies get nipped
That Angel is hiding because it's being bullied, as you have an Angel fish tank already why don't you just put them in that? Problem solved!

If there was it wold have been an African Dwarf Frog (dwarf clawed frog)

guppies are good food for the other fish, aren't they?
Yes, they are.
At 1:44 has that angel got mouth rot?
No, it's always looked like that.

Nice video and first

Yup Guppies can be fin nippers. Put it in with the BGKF or the Leaf Fish Both will eat them.
put an Oscar in there Dan!.... they're beautiful fish man!....
An oscar would kill everything in that tank, the tank is too small for an oscar and they are hideous d:
