this show is so much fun when you enjoy it from morty’s perspective and try to understand him as a character
that's what i've always been doing lol
as the viewer, you typically want to feel like rick, since he seems all-knowing and powerful, but every episode the show makes the viewer a morty instead by exposing and surprising us with each crazy new possibility/episode of the show.
@@TheJuggerClutch so here’s my other dilemma.What exactly do you mean by”makes the viewer a morty”.I may no pe interpreting this correctly but i don’t get how being a morty is used as an insult(though i doubt this is what you meant).Hell what’s up with that notorious meme “you either die a morty or live long enough to see yourself become a rick”.Being like morty should be a compliment.He’s really well written and will in fact stay my fav character.

Siobhan is incredible!!! As a writer on this show she makes everything better than anything I expected.
I hope you're kidding. This finale was lazy and rushed as hell. They literally made Rick say they didn't care about dialogues and they wanted to get rid of his backstory as soon as possible.

@@nickn2794 I liked it a lot though. The show has set out to do a little of plot continuity and a little of their own thing. I think the finale felt rushed to an extent, but Morty growing more confident and independent really helped foreshadow Evil Morty's motives. I interpreted the dialogue comment as a reference to how nihilistic the whole thing was. They couldn't stop Evil Morty, they could just flee. It actually didn't matter who said what, Evil Morty had already won. They fit all of that and some comedy in a short episode!
But I also get that it's not for everyone. They vacillate between continuity plot stuff and random stuff a lot. So I hope the next season has stuff we both enjoy.

Jerry or Beth could of rejected each other plenty of times before that “tap”.
Rick C-137 could've been against that, which would make more sense
Thing to note is that C137 Rick's Beth is dead. I think it's clear that he has more sentimentality about Beths than some other Ricks out there, who, having never lost their Beth, would be more willing to manipulate her to be with Jerry so that they can get a Morty out of it.
C137 Rick seems to actually want Beth to have a fulfilling life, even if he sucks at knowing what that would look like. (Which is why the Clone Beth incident happened), while seeing her being with Jerry as his alter-selves squandering her potentials. (Ignoring of course that there probably are plenty of timelines where Beth and Jerry got together without manipulation.)
By contrast, other Ricks seem to view Beth primarily as a resource for their own emotional validation when they acknowledge her at all. (One literally made a cookie flavored with their sentimentality for their daughter and monetized it to sell to other Ricks) whereas Jerrys are just an annoying by-product of producing Mortys. (Which is why they also have produced services like Jerryboree to off-load that annoyance.)
Yep, another unfortunate contradiction, this season (although good, sure) had waaay to many contradictions of established character's... well, character lol

If you pay real close attention to the last final frames before Rick leaves on the Spaceship, you see his smile turn into a frown as he tilts his head down in sadness.

@@maximosjuan1 I mean, from a perspective, the relationship they had can be seen as pretty toxic.
I want to say it’s been mostly on Morty’s end with the attempted love potion fiasco, the death crystal episode, the stuff he attempted with the “save and load” remote, etc. Morty just always felt like he was trying to force something and all we see are moments where Jessica was just the potential love interest.
I dunno, I can’t really speak on the matter, feel free to correct me.
@@CinnPai I wouldn’t call their relationship toxic. Morty is just a horny, in-love teenager. I’ll give you the love potion just because Morty was basically taking away Jessica’s will away. The remote control and the crystal was Morty trying to make things work but ultimately it was toxic to himself as it only caused him pain. We saw Jessica try to give Morty a chance and show some type of affection that might have worked if she had not turned into a All-Knowing Goddess lol However the main argument that I made still holds, Jessica wasn’t the toxic one
@@CinnPai I do think if Morty and Jessica started dating, they would eventually break up. I can see the writers potentially bringing another love interest that actually sticks arounds for a bit and dates Morty for a bit. Who knows tho

Everyone is ignoring the one thing that made me realize "oh shit, its serious" while watching the episode. At the end of each season opening theres this "rick and morty forever 1000 seasons baby" fuck fest in the garage. It wasnt at the end of ep1 in this season, so i just thought they dropped it. But no, it happened at the end of this episode, in the form of "rick and two crows". I was shocked and felt amazed. I wasn't even prepared to how incredible the series finale is.

This was honestly a lot, like out of all the slaps of plot I have received from this show this hit hard. There was alot more revealed then I expected and yet I now have more questions. And I was hoping the end scene after the credits would tell us more about evil morty but you get a different type reality check from Mr Poopybutt Hole instead 0.0 I enjoyed it but I was stunned at the end of it all.
The moment Morty said he got an aging serum from the citadel I knew where this was going Evil Morty finale. But man it still managed to surprise me with Rick creating the citadel originally and inadvertently created Morty.
