    this Episode Josh and Aaron are set out to decrease heat in the intake manifold of Josh's alloytec, by fitting insulator spacer's along with painting intake manifold and a custom made cold air intake...
    Make sure to stick around to the end for Josh's dancing tip's.
    This year Josh and Aaron are set out to restore there cars (Vz Utes V6 alloytec and 5.7 LS1) to a factory and original state, aswell as improving some components to keep there cars up to date with the brand new cars of today.
    The Ozmods crew have had a passion for cars ever since they owned there first cars, and since then they have ventured into many different car scene's such as JDM, Fords, Holdens, TRD's even Diahatsu's doing all sort's of crazy and most wack aftermarket modifications even home made mod's... So check it out and tell the guys what you think of there show.

    I did those spacers some time last year and you can deffs see a difference in the temp and also being able to hold your hand on the manifold without burning urself.

    The oil air pod breather on the drivers side crank case. How did you manage to install this one????? And how you delete the other breather lines that run of it?

  • @Wazza722

    I’m doing the spacers, would it be a good idea to use the goo between the manifold and spacers and use a metal rubber o ring style gasket between the spacers and intake for future removal to change coils or plugs?
    That way you wouldn’t have to scrape off gasket goo.
    Did you notice a increase in power or torque?

    What kind of paint is that? I've got ceramic type of paint but it does it repell the heat? I have an OTR cai and can you please tell me what is the best way to insulate from heat! VX Commodore ecotec? Any reply appreciated cheers!

      Use a scraper" I doubt it is as sticky as silastic is, - more of a flexible liquid form a gasket to ensure an airtight seal.

    I've got the 25mm spacers on my SV6 had them for two years , plus the Mace CAI , good easy mods , and a big drop in intake temperatures as well , and laughed at the Chevrolet badge reference , why do people do that .

      @nigelbaldwin2515 Před 9 lety +1

      Loadedchamberrecords I've done it to my VZ. It doesn't make a huge difference but the motor feels torqier down low.

    • @danieloconnell8960
      @danieloconnell8960 Před 9 lety +1

      Loadedchamberrecords They wouldn't really add power, they just keep the air intake temperatures lower. More of a power consistency mod.

    • @nigelbaldwin2515
      @nigelbaldwin2515 Před 9 lety

      There's definitely a horsepower bump down low. It jumps harder off the line.

    • @nigelbaldwin2515

      Lower intake temps mean more hp anyway.

    • @druss2786

      By adding the spacers you increase the runners over all length.
      Longer runners = more torque.
      Shorter runners = more RPM.

  • @OlBlueshound
    @OlBlueshound Před 6 lety

    So changing the plugs will be "interesting" now with the blue glue on there? What did you notice after driving for a while with the spacers on there? More kilometres per litre? Power curve shift from standard toward more high end power? Or nothing? Lol

  • @Nictropolis
    @Nictropolis Před 8 lety +2

    what performance do ya get out of the spacers ? is it worth it ?

    • @Ozmods
      @Ozmods  Před 8 lety +4

      It's very hard to say if we gained any performance for sure, but there was a substantial temperature drop in the manifold which could definitely lead to colder air induction hence more performance. Hard to say how much performance. but we definitely think they give some sort of increase.
