regarding the volo ring, you can actually just buy it off volo right as soon as you first meet him in the druid grove you just have to open trade via the trade button on the bottom left in dialogue

Fun fact about the eye volo gives you, after you “equip” it, Wyll will have some unique dialogue when you next speak to him.

There is a pendant in the emerald grove, in the cove where the sad bear is, underneath one of the rocks is a lesser restoration amulet
It's great for people who run Astarion and let him feed every night; you can instantly cure Bloodless first thing in the morning without needing to use a cleric's spell slot
You can get Volo's ring even earlier buy purchasing it from him while he is in the grove talking to the ox. Just choose to trade with him by left clicking the trade button in the bottom left while in conversation with him.
If you want a bunch more Orthon explosives, when attacking Yurgir, make sure you are close by when he is low on health as he drops a bunch of them, and if you are quick enough on your turn you can run around and pick them all up before they explode. I ended up with about 10 from doing that.
Danse Macabre is an Easter egg for the band "Ghost." They have a song called Dance Macabre, and the band members dress as masked, nameless ghouls.
Ghost didn’t invent the idea of Danse Macabre, it’s a 14th century allegorical representation of death.
3:34 you can just buy the ring from from Volo when you first meet him in the druid grove by opening trade. He also carries some scrolls.
Re: Voss's sword, I just had a second invis character pick it up right after he drops it after a successful Command/Drop, and then just, in inventory, right click the sword --> send to camp, THEN just flee combat back to the portal and go back home.
Casting darkness over the area where the sylvanus idol is, you can steal it before going to the goblin camp and the druids will not attack the tieflings this way

You can get a 2nd quasit if you go through the mirror and have another character talk with shovel, then you can have that character summon quasit, now 2 shovel’s.

30:30, I just put two of the vases on each chair to open the room.
Those Ogres once you get around 5k gold owned just summon to the Lava when you fight the lvl 8 machine and they will die in the Lava.
If you want to stay on the side of sovereign Spaw, you can use Glut (just click on his portrait and start walking, the others won't follow him) to enter the bibberbang mushroom field and save Baelen and get the noble stalk. You cannot pick up the noble stalk, but you can move it around (same with the backpack for Baelen). Just a heads up for people who don't want to side with Glut.
There's also a ridge that runs around the bibberbang field where you can safely walk avoiding the bibberbang shrooms. At one point you come across a skeleton (it's hard to see, so you might want to cast light on your weapon to see better) which has a ring that gives +1 to survival and +1 to nature. It's called Explorer's Ring. Weird that you didn't mention this here.
An invisible Mage hand does the trick too for some reason
Bard also gets Charisma checks while reading Necromancy of Thay
The only problem with the whispering promise ring: If you actually cast bless with any character and then use the character with the ring to heal a blessed character, it reduces the time, bless stays active on the healed character as the usual bless spell lasts longer than two turns and gets overwritten by the bless spell of the ring.
I just started my 5th playthrough recently, and I am amazed at how much I'm still discovering. I went out of my way to see as much as possible, yet there is still even more content to find. Incredible!
Edit: You saying things like Grime-Forge instead of Grymforge or Korgah instead of Kagha makes me think you've never even played this game. Lmao

to be fair to him on the Kagah/Korgah thing, multiple NPCs such as Rath and Halsin pronounce it as "Korgar".

You can trade with Volo and get the Whispering Ring. And Shovel can be learned by magic users after going into the mirror.
so Losiir shoulder texture is bugged for everyone or some because mine is bugged too.
Just found out something else while playing just now. When you go to split money or a number of objects and your show a slider if you click on the number on the left you can input the amount you want to give instead of using the slider!
I don't remember what type of ring, but in the Baleen area (the one with the bibberbangs) starting from the left, there are some protruding stones that you can jump on and get the ring from a skeleton.
As for Shovel, there's a bit of a hack to get the summon ability on any character regardless of class. If you have a wizard or use Gale, you both can have him. Shovel is no different than a regular quasit but he does have fun dialog. The Blood of Lathandar mace is one of the best in slot in the game for an Aspect of Light cleric (especially if you set up with radiant orb/reverberation gear). It makes act 2 so much easier.

Us also can use his ranged attack on things under the effect of Sanctuary for some reason. Maybe because it's psychic damage. Feign Death doesn't protect from psychic either.
2:05 if anyone is trying to get the approval points for SH, make sure u don’t let either of em get knocked out, pickpocket the hellrider gloves, before you talk to zevlor, you can still talk to him and it will be as if nothing happened. (This also makes it so it’s easier to get mols mission since one of the tiefling kids will rob Aradins companion etc)

For Pale Oak, does anyone know if it only protects you from vines created by Entangle, or are you protected from natural terrain vines as well? Even if it's only druidic vines, I wonder if it could be useful for a highly mobile druid/ranger to be able to Entangle a large area of foes, then run in and out of melee range to attack at will, or generally command terrain without worrying about getting trapped yourself
Idk why this happened and it could have been a fluke, but without really trying I was able to sneak up on the duegar slavers with the Bulette. Due to his bulk it involved a lot of jumping around to position myself, but it caused everyone to have the surprised condition and they died so fast that they didn’t have time to raise any of the dead. It was awesome
You can place pots or other items on the seats for the secret door to open.

Starting as Shadowheart just makes the pod empty, no extra character, so it ends up with just her, Lae'zel, and Us (if you saved them) on the nautiloid
I guess he hasn't heard you can use Priestess Gut, Newborn Gnolls, and Harpies can also be turned into Spore Undead.
Gut is amazing as an undead because she can give the entire party shield of faith without concentration. She can also use shield of faith and healing word without spending spellslots. MVP healer for the half of the underdark where Glut is on your side.

the book of thay dissapears if you get to sent to jail or enter the goblin camp and get knocked out by whats her face ive tried reloading the save and even the save before and after getting the book and its gone off the pedistol if i redo the area and its not in my inventory after i picked it up no matter what which sucks
Lump's warhorn is a double-edged sword...because they will also attack your party and possibly kill them. Lump's warhorn says they promise to fight for YOU personally, not the collective you. I had an honor mode run almost wipe to misunderstanding what a monkey paw Lump's warhorn can be.
It's so annoying that people call Losiir "hidden". He's a simple place holder, not hidden.

Not many people like Laezel. People don't play her nearly as much as, per se, Gale or Shadowheart. He isn't hidden by any means, just not exactly very common for most play throughs.

I listened back to it and there is definitely no R in both the spelling of it and the pronunciation. I think it's the UK accent of many of the voice actors, but after listening back I can see how someone may have misheard it.
Due to a bug with a weapon, you can wear familiar armor, ring, and amulet. I found all the equipment which familiar can equip except the bow.
I will be necromantic with armies armored undead.

@@MrWhoopsies my first run I collected ALL the rotten food, cups, plates, bowls, etc 😂 (mostly because I just scan the room and then keep hitting X to collect everything, or hit “take all” on crates instead of selecting individual items)
I also collect body parts, but that’s just to throw at enemies I don’t like, because nothing says “f*ck you” quite like having a rotting body part thrown at you 🤷♀️
I also made it in custom mode so got more money on items, so by the end of the game I had over 500k gold in my camp chest
It's NOT very important to listen to the jar brains in the illithid colony. They're just voice grabs, same as when you click on wraith remants after battles.
Glut can retrieve the mushroom easily. You don't need a ring.

Except the camp-specific song and perhaps Boaaal all others are revealed through a normal playthrough. No secrets here. You could have mentioned that Guiding light is obtainable without killing the poor robot by reading the books as you advance through the tower.
The robot dies no matter what, so you might as well kill it yourself to not only get the loot it has (the glaive) but also for the XP

It's a good game, a great one even, but in 2024 there are very few people who do a 2nd playthrough of a 100+ hour single player RPG. There are too many other entertainment options available.
i would say there are more people who start a second playthrough than finish their first

I'm on my 8th playthrough, got 1300 hours playtime so far and still I discover new things. but yeah, I guess the majority of people won't do it.

I disagree. I have little time for gaming and get one day a week to play BG3 with a friend. Even though we are still in Act 1, we are more than ready to make a second playthrough after this one (which carries over our characters from Divinity Original Sin 2)
