I own one of these 2013 models used. At nearly 5000 lbs, it gets 26 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. Not many full sized SUVs can come close. Just replaced the rear brakes for the first time at 128k miles. It’s a unicorn, but I love her.
I love how the gear indicator works even when the transmission in a standard drive mode. Its so nice

I talked about the Diesel Cayenne's US debut in a video last year. It's about time you guys in the states get to feel how great these engines are. Here in germany they are extremely popular. I've never been disappointed by a modern diesel in a german car...

+the guy did they come with ur car, or have you bought them seperately afterwards?
Martin M you can get them with the car. But since all the rims that were on the car were curbed we got new ones for free. So we asked if we could get these instead. So yeah got them afterwards.

I've never seen a transmission skip gears that much. Saw a lot of 5th to 8th jumps and back down. I wonder if it's to save as much fuel and be as efficient as possible, looks very high tech.

you would also love The diesel S version, which i think is the best version of the cayenne honestly. price performance, fuel economy, expandable fuel tank, even sounds great. Even the international anti-cayenne authority top-gear uk rates it high and loves it.

260 hp, 406lb lb per ft of torque 0-60 in 7 seconds its actualy pretty fast, this guy was taking it easy on it
If they had the logo on the head rest on the seats that would top it off 🔥🔥 already a hot car
Driveability and economy. More usable torque for everyday driving situations. Think immediate response when you touch the accelerator.
Thanks for the nice review!... i noticed the engine noise is pretty loud in the background which is typical for a diesel engine.

Is it rather noisy inside? Using a quality set of head phones and I kinda feel that the sound of that diesel engine is rather wearing.
Very nice. I would guess a person could get nearly 35 mpg if they cruised at 65 mph on a mostly level Hwy 5 in California... sweet.

I also love it. Personally, I think its the best overall SUV on the market. However, the major downside are the damn options. RIDICULOUS! They start off at around 60k, but to get the good options you can easily spend more than 90k.
