Western Maryland Scenic Railroad 1309

The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad based in Cumberland Maryland has recently restored a C&0 2-6-6-2 locomotive, number 1309. What a brute! We spent the holiday weekend in the area allowing for time to chase several trips as well as enjoying a ride in the open air car right behind the locomotive. This was the first time that I had the opportunity to chase a steam locomotive on a bicycle. It was also a blast to pace the locomotive on a bike!
