It's worth mentioning that all the Bluetooth Headphones, including the 1000xm2, could activate google assistant by long pressing the answering call button. Don't understand why BOSE is making this function looks like a big deal..

Vambow Fan I don't why. Maybe because no one has mentioned it in any of the dozens the Sony reviews I've seen. I might have missed it, but I haven't even seen that detail mentioned in the Sony manual. You would think SOMEONE would have mentioned that detail by now . Interesting.

Holding the center of the touch pad (play/pause) brings up Google Assistant or Siri. Same thing for just about any wired or wireless headphones with a play/pause button.

I know its an old thread, but as stated in this review, having a dedicated google assistant button (which can be configured for diff purpose) has one noted advantage for iPhone users. Using the multi purpose function button will activate default assistant only, which is siri for iPhone users, and having this button is the only way to use google assistant on iPhones.
For Android, i guess it might still help for certain devices (like samsung) which may have other assistants (bixby) configured as default ?

Having a hard time picking between these 2 headphones? Easy. It depends on who or what you are. If you're just a random person who wants to show off about your expensive headphone or just thinking about good design and comfort, well choose Bose QC35 II. But if you're a musician or a person who really love music? Then choose Sony WH 1000XM2. EASY as that.

The Bose qc35ii noise-canceling is much better and does not give u a headache like the Bose qc35i does. As for the mic I work in a noisy semi truck. I bought the Sony's but the callers could hear all the background noise and could barely hear me. Then I bought the bose it was like night and day the bose mic did not pick up any background noise and my voice was clear to the callers.

  • @cameriqueTV

The Sonys have a pressurization adjustment function. If the band is too tight, you can bend that out, vs tightening the Bose. If the Sony pads are too small, for you, you can change them out with Dakoni pads. The Sonys also have hiss without music, at least mine do. The Bose have a well space for your ear lobes, Sonys don't.

Perhaps in the future, you might label on the screen which device you are featuring and demonstrating at a given moment. In this video, the color of the Bose and Sony were fairly similar, so at times it was difficult to tell which device you were demonstrating. I found myself rewinding a few times to get a better look.

I had the QC 35 I for 2 weeks, then decided to give the Sony's a try.
Comfort: Bose, hands down, the Sony's clasp too tight and the design for the cups are not concave like the Bose. They're flat so if your ears stick out like mine, they will constantly touch the headphones and this creates discomfort.
On to "cabin pressure" for the Bose. Everyone's body is different. Mine adjusted to that and I don't get that feeling anymore - took my ears 2 days to acclimate.
Audio: Sony, by quite a lot.
Noise Cancelling: Sony, very very slightly but I found it to have a constant hissing sound so I prefer the Bose.
Pairing: Bose, if you have multiple devices you can just stop listening to one and play the other. This is extremely useful.
I will buy the QC 35 II and stay with them and return the Sony. For me, comfort is the most important thing. For you it may be something different. I use it mainly for the noise cancelling while I study with music turned off.

Sanesh Alright since I have thoroughly testesd out the Bose QC35 I will give the soumd quality an 8 out of 10 because it doesn't have a wider dynamic range and the bass is overpowerd by the highs amd mids but other than that they have great sound qualuty. I know that you posted your comment two months ago so I don't know if you have gotten your choice of headphones yet but just in case you haven't decided yet I wanted to help you out by giving you this information.

in the Noice Cancelling dept, I like the app and the fact that I have a lot more control of the NC settings and also the Auto-NC. I like the new Codecs as well, such as APTX-HD.

Both are sound quality are really good BUT the Sony are prone to crack. Just read the many reviews online of people still reporting their headphones cracking despite Sony claiming they fixed it. For a lot of money keep it safe... Bose

    • @mauriziob5944

More than crackingn you should worry about internal build quality. I had a pair of qc25, same design as the qc35, and a colleague who also had them warned me of the left earcup defect, where sound simply stops. It happened to him after seven months and happened to me after 8 months. I kept them extra protected as i was so worried... i got them replaced, as he did, but sold them straight after. I am not gettig the qc35, i just bought the sony xm2.

thanks, i bought the Sony xm2 and then heard bose were releasing the qc35 ii and was like ah shit maybe they went hard back at sony for the 1000x. had the xm2 for a week ill keep em. on a side question how would you compare the xm2's to the Nuheara IQ Buds

    • @Graafhehe

    • @Graafhehe
      @Graafhehe Před 7 lety
