- In this video I will present you the airmatic system from a Mercedes S class w220 S320 . The same system is installed on other S class or E class models like E 500 , S 500 , S 55 . So you will see problems that can occure , how to use a diagnostic tool on the AIRMATIC suspension, do a reset , how to do a leak test on the valve body , how to remove the air compressor and test the sensors , these are just a part of what you will see in this video .

Great Video! My S430, w220 drop down the two front wheels, but not the whole care. The front struts are new and the compressor works fine. Seeing your video I think the valves may have old o-rings where the air is leaded. I will check it. Thank you.

YES YOUR A GOOD MECHANIC HELPING US. S CLASS W220. I NEED TO KNOW WHY MY AIRMATIC COMPRESSOR STAYS ON RUNING. I won't shut off, so I take the fuse out on the passenger side fuse box. Orange big 40 amp fuse..... PLEASE HELP

I have never seen anybody getting access to the compressor through the headlights. Interesting 🤔 Most people remove the wheel and it's cover. So how do you fix the leak between the line and the nut? Kind regards
I have 2004 s500.my problem is car levels ok.but when you drive front shocks raises way up.when you get off the car front shocks dumps air off about an inch lowers the normal level.I have no idea what causes that problem.If you have an idea please let me know.Thanks for the great video...

Hi Marcus and thanks for your message! About the scan tools: For me it's either an expensive " top one " or a 100 $ one . Obviously, it depends a lot on how much you will use it and how far you want to go into this field. From what I know Autel is one of the best ( updates are expensive ) Foxwell is great as well ( you can check the review I made ) Also it's important to know that besides a good scan tool you will need a proper oscilloscope , a good voltmeter and access to wiring diagrams which can be quite costly - if one wants to be pretty close to a Pro level .
About the affiliate marketing on this channel, from what I've seen is not worth it ; long story short 😅

Hi, I have 2005 S430 and I'm getting Display Defective the Airmatic don't go up and the button for raising the car and button for sports mode does not light up, the ABS light up. I checked all the wiring and fuses and didn't find any problem. What do you think is the problem. I need your help. Thank you
I fixed my display defective by mailing to some guy in colorado who did some work on it. He runs a service on ebay. It was about 150bucks and he was very fast. That stupid display defective will cause ALL kind of weird problems and then some. Start with that.
Can I use iCarsoft i980 as a scan tool and do everything you did with your Foxwell scan tool?
I never used that i980 , but I don't belive so
I'm working on my 2008 Mercedes E550/ W211. I replaced the left front strut. Thinking it was blown out? Unfortunately I replaced it. Same thing. Strut going down. I removed the wheel again. Checked all the sensors. I cleaned the terminals. Put it back together. It stayed up and was fine. Until I checked the steering. Right the pump turned on. I looked at the left strut? Still good. I turned the wheel left. The left strut deflated again? I checked everything around the wheel. Everything seems to be fine? I re tried it to figure out why turning the wheel has anything to do with the Airmatic system? I checked all the voltages. It seems fine. I have no idea. So off to the mercedes mechanic? I'll follow up after hopefully they can fix it.

2003 Mercedes Benz S430 4Matic my problem is that the AIRMATIC compressor stays on WILL NOT TURN OFF.... NEED TO KNOW THE PROBLEM. IF ANYONE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM. AND REPAIRED. IT. HOW
That's likely a shorted relay. I've had two shorts with these shitty OEM relays. One caused my secondary air pump to burn out. If you don't catch it in time, a shorted relay will ruin the component it's supposed to turn on.
E500 major trouble with the airmatic….
