Based on that, you have to consider the difference between transfer income & transfer expenses, which is net spend. Itâs not the only figure which is important to measure success, but a defining one. During his time at Dortmund, he had no money and at Liverpool, he finished a great deal to sell Coutinho for appr. 150Mio⏠, to invest that money very smart into the squad. Pep has won more trophies and all the Liverpool fans will say well Pep spent more money city -ÂŁ326m Liverpool -ÂŁ221m (6th and 9th according to website football 365) yes but not massive difference. What Pep has done is change and influence the premier league by utilising ball playing goalkeepers playing from the back, using inverted fullbacks in midfield, using a false nine when city had no centre forward to help win the league and now using centre backs coming into midfield to overload the centre of the pitch. Pep is a genius and because of these outstanding coaching principles and also winning cups and championships in Spain,Germany and in the Premier league he is arguably the greatest of all time. If anything, Jurgen Klopp has overachieved as Liverpool manager. If you look at the clubâs transfer policy during his tenure, Liverpool generally bought cheap, average players and relied on Klopp getting great performances out of those players. On the rare occasions big money was spent (Allison, Van Dyke etc.), it was only after selling other players for big money first.
Every trophy Klopp has won in his managerial career, was achieved without ever being in charge of the dominant club in the league, unlike Guardiola who has only ever managed the strongest club in each league he has coached in.

Klopp has been to 3 CL finals in 6 campaigns since heâs joined Liverpool. Also before his first PL title, Ferguson had 12th, 13th, 11th and 6th place finishes. People need to get historical perspective before automatically mocking Klopp. Arsenal under Wenger won three league titles in 97-98 (78 points), 01-02 (87 points), and 03-04 (90 points, Invincible season). Under Klopp, Liverpool have only won one league title in 19-20 with 99 points. They twice lost the league title to City by one single point in 18-19 (97 points) and 21-22 (92 points). Kloppâs lone title winning side and his two sides that lost to City by one single point all won more points than every single Wenger Arsenal side that won the league, including their Invincible side. United won the champions league and league cup on penalties in 08 and 09 so are they not as credible?đ
Goldstein says he won the CL final to Spurs. Why does he not say before that he beat Barcelona 4-0? That was the real final.
Even if he never won anything, beating United 7-0 makes him a legend!
No, he has not achieved enough. However everybody with no agenda knows why. There are 115 reasons.
@jch6722
You do realize Liverpool twice lost the League title to City by one single point? And in those two seasons they had 97 and 92 points yet still didnât win the League? Thatâs mind boggling not to win the league winning that many points. Context is very important.
Wenger won the league 3 times during united's most dominant period, who have spent more than any other club in the league. What's klopps excuse?
@@bluemoon1716 Wenger had 23 years, Klopp had 9. Wenger didn't win the Champions League, Klopp did. Man United didn't cheat, City did. Everybody knows that and you as a City fan can moan about it all you want. You sell less shirts than Tottenham yet you have more lucrative sponsorships from the Middle East. City fans problem is that nobody respects City's achievements and that will never change. That's why you are here commenting because you are rattled.
@bluemoon1716
Arsenal first won the League title under Wenger in 97-98 with 78 points. They won it again in 01-02 on 87 points. And then won it a 3rd time in 03-04 during their âinvincibleâ season with 90 points. Liverpool won the league under Klopp in 19-20 with 99 points, lost the 18-19 title to City by a single point with 97 points, and once again lost the 21-22 league title race to City by a single point with 92 points. Klopp and Liverpool won more points than every single Wenger title winning team, including Arsenalâs âinvincibleâ side. Context is very important. Klopp and Liverpool just happened to go up against an all time great City machine.
@@Photosoflife a City machine that still wasn't the biggest spenders. Since pep came to England he's been outspent by both united and Chelsea. Klopp's 1 title isn't enough considering he broke multiple world transfer records and could only achieve success after he did so. No one remembers the team who came 2nd
No one gave this team a chance for most of the season. And look, weâre in a title race and thats down to Klopp. He has OVER ACHIEVED in my opinion competing against the financial might of City, Chelsea and United.
He won everything while being the 9th highest spender in the leagueâŠâŠ
If you donât think thats a remarkable overachieving job then no one can help you
Heated in capitals? Wow
Itâs not what he won/didnât win, but he had seasons that are unforgivable at the top level. Scratching the top four the year after winning the league, finishing fifth after bottling the quadruple, and the finish to this year. Nothing to do with city, this is his team failing against the other competition they were better than under his stewardship
Cool guy though
I'm a Utd fan and Klopp did incredible things at Liverpool, he would of won double the amount if not for them cheating blue scum! Absolutely scandalous the charges they have and are still allowed to compete for all major trophies
Class is permanent form is temporary. Klopp was always inconsistent and therefore not class and not great!
It was hard because of points needed to win title.
A man utd fan questioning klopps achievements at Liverpool really someone sounds jealous and envious of Liverpool of klopps tenure and jealousy isn't a good trait to have goldstein he's a manager you could only wish for at utd he'll always have a special place in us liverpool fans hearts
Klopp has done quite well. Best manager at anfield in last 30 0dd years. But city with pep and the big bucks are always gonna be the team at the top of the pile. Klopp may of won more but it wasn't to be. I wonder if he ll manage again. Looks spent
âBig bucksâ
City are 4th biggest spenders since Pep has been there and only marginally above Liverpoolâs spend.
"havent blasted teams"
Eh? Barca no?
is andy goldstein even aware of 115 charges fc đ€Ł thats how hard it is to win the prem these days maybe he should focus more on his own club why is he judging klopp on how he won finals thats weird aswell as long as you win them who really cares it was actually 97 points aswell đ€
Itâs 1 more premier league than Man Utd have in last 10 years
Under klopp liverpool have won't literally everything apart from Europa league, a feat literally every other club apart from City and maybe Chelsea? in that time can only dream of. Of course he's won more than enough.
The only reason he didnât achieve more was because he was bested by the strongest team the PL has ever seen. To miss out twice with 90+ points has to be considered hard luck. Maybe heâll regret the two CL finals against Madrid but otherwise itâs been a period of success that no one else other than Pep has bettered. Plus the fact Klopp did it without 115 counts of cheating means his achievements are far more credible anyway.
I love what Jurgens achieved but he cant be a 10.I think hes an 8 or a 9.Hes done amazing competing with Pep and City.Reawoken a sleeping giant. He will be sorely missed but i think an 8 or 9 is fair
I'm not a Liverpool fan and klopp is definitely a 10 he helped them win in league after 30 years
In comparision for greats , absolutely not
Up against cheating Man City
Whoâs charged are before peps reign
Trying to work out if Andyâs anti Liverpool sentiment is a bigger blind spot than his pro Man Utd sentiment
Andy please how many titles have Utd won in total. One more than Liverpool. So we are up there
3 less European cups
13 premier league titles tho and most of your history isnât from klopp so makes it irrelevant to what you said
@@willtallis5275 6 champions leagues mate
Havenât United finished above Liverpool an equal amount of times as they havenât, since Klopp been there? Iâm not a United fan btw and think theyâre a joke but the above shows how overrated Klopp is.
@@tomben6180 yes but they can't admit that they also say he took over a dead team even tho it challenged for the league with brendan Rodger before he came in they sY he hasn't spent anywhere near the rest but he's spent 928 million it's all terrible excuses becuase they can't fave reality and facts he just isn't as good as they first thought they've only 3 actual decent seaosns under him the rest where the same as before he came in
Andy has turned into Adrian Durham! A Man United fan saying winning a trophy is a bad year! đ
