  • Why would God create Satan knowing that he would rebel against Him? This is a good question. I mean really, is this all just some big game that's being played? What was the point of creating a being who would later rebel and cause all of this trouble? In this video we will attempt to answer that question as we explore the origin of Satan and God's original intent behind His creation. Enjoy!

It's a difficult question that is not clearly spelled out to us in scripture but I hope this explanation helps. It's a Terrible Thought that anyone of us could give ( what we think ) serving God our best...then hear those awful words " Be gone for I know ye not"? A food for thought, a thought that puts fear in My Spirit!

If I boobytrap my home knowing full well that if someone rings the doorbell they're going to get shot and die am I responsible for the death of innocent people when they inevitably ring the doorbell? The answer is absolutely yes, the same goes for God, sure Satan chose to disobey him but God by knowing full well that Satan would disobey and still creating him the exact same way makes him at least partially responsible for the actions of Satan because even knowing what the consequences of his creations would be he decided to just ignore them and follow through anyway.

It ultimately didn’t matter how you lived your life because you were just an accident that happened to happen in the universe, and that scares me to death. The only thing that can keep me from that fear is God’s love, because the evidence and my faith is too strong for me to let it go.

      1) Did Lucifer had free will to decide to rebel against God?
      2) Or did God created Satan just for the purpose of trying to find the true humans who love him and will worship for eternity?
      3) Is the "corrupted world" the "trials of Satan" the way to determine what humans will receive salvation in their heart and will go to heaven with God and what humans will go to hell?
      4) If God is all knowing and all powerful Why not create only the first group of humans that will get salvation and not the second so in this there is no need to send most of mankind to hell?..

The more I study Gods Word and He teach me through His Holy Spirit the more He reveals. This question is more complex then people think. But some reasons God showed me for why He allowed for there to be sin and for there to be Satan is simply: LOVE
Think about it. The fact that God knew what Satan would do and STILL let him exist shows how God even gave Satan an opportunity at life and to make his own decisions....just like with people. God didn’t abuse His power.
Love is freely given and at the same time Gods love is seen even when we choose to not follow His Will. Love isnt forced. God even says that for those that don’t want Him He gives them up to their desires and their devices. God literally has the power to make people follow and love Him but instead He gives people up to what they “love” (lust) after. That’s true love. So if people love wickedness and choose to sin well God let’s them have what they want. Just like how we act. If someone claims to want to be with someone else well we let them go to be happy with that someone else even if what they want is toxic. We like God do not control another person because that wouldn’t be love. The thing is that God has boundaries as well so if you want something else then you can’t have your cake and eat it too and stay in His presence because you don’t want Him. That’s one of the reasons for why Satan got kicked out of Gods presence, why Adam and Eve and Cain were kicked out of Gods presence. Why today if you don’t choose to love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength by trusting and obeying Jesus then you can not enter the kingdom of heaven.
Had God made every human and every angel without the option to choose to love Him then it would contradict Gods own character which is love and not forced. If God only made people who He knew would come to Him then that would show favoritism and yet He doesn’t do this. He gives all people the opportunity to breath life even though He knows who will reject Him. Had God been selective about allowing only obedient people to be born then following God would not be based on trust and faith but obligation and compulsion which is not what God wants. God wanted to be THE OPTION of choice. He wants us to choose Him which requires us to have that option available to choose Him or to choose death. Sound familiar? This was in the garden of Eden. Notice that when you read Genesis God told Adam that he could eat from EVERY tree in the garden and the exception to not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not to control Adam but out of love it was to warn Adam. Notice God never brought attention to the tree of life which was Him. He left that all up for Adam and Eve to CHOOSE to trust in Him. Adam and Eve didn’t know what death was because all they knew was life. Had they trusted God they wouldn’t have to experience death or even know what it was which is how God knew Adam ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil when he hid. Satan knew what death was because his sentence was already doomed to hell and set when he was banished from heaven but he decieved Eve into thinking death was not a bad thing even though they had no idea what death was. Now the stage has been set. Will they choose to trust in God freely or will they choose to trust in the snake and themselves? Satan was apart of there being another option to choose. Regardless it’s wiser to choose to trust in the One who made you, gave you everything for nothing in return, and who warned you out of love about eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil then to trust in a serpent who you don’t know, who is telling you something different than God and who has no reason to be your friend.
So why did God create Satan knowing what he would do?
Well why did God create humans knowing what they would do?
Satan is apart of Gods plan in that He wants people to choose Him and trust in Him. When we don’t then there must be an alternative that provides consequences. In order to choose what is righteous you must reject what is wicked. So that means wickedness must exist as well. There must be more than one option available besides choosing God. That and God loves us so much that He allows there to be an alternative option available for if we dont want Him. Yes God will still chase after the lost and remain patient unlike we can understand but when we all face Him on judgement day no one will have no excuse. He gives breath to the wicked and the righteous which falls along with His character of being just and showing no favoritism to all...even to Satan. God even allowed Satan to have what he wanted and to believe that he is in control which was to be worshipped. Satan has temporary dominion, children, and influence to have people worship him just as he wanted. By even being fair and loving His enemy, God allowed Satans desires to actually fulfill Gods own plan for people to choose Him. It’s amazing actually. Satan thinks he is winning and controlling God because he still exists and is running evil when in reality God is in control and uses Satan to fulfill His sovereign plan while Satan has to answer to Him.

This is so amazing and needs to be pinned. I've been wondering this for a long time but was honestly afraid of thinking too much on it in fear of turning against Him due to emotions and I feared I would end up hating Him. But now I truly understand. He's righteous and just and gives everyone a choice. Yes He directs the paths, but the paths depend on what you choose. I finally understand.

@@summermemories3087 That is so wonderful. I used to ask this question tooo and did back when I was little so He helped me undersrtand this. I am glad that God used me to explain this. It's why I made my you-tube channel. But never be afraid to ask God anything. In fact He wants us to ask Him things. there is a difference betweeen questioning God and asking God questions. One shows lack of trust and doubt while the other shows God that you want to be more intimate with Him and know more about Him which is what He wants. It's why He says for those who seek His face and ask they shall receive. So don't let that fear from Satan keep you from our Father. When we put all that fear of man and the fear that we have of things into the fear of the Lord then He reveals so much to us and most of the time it's in examples in the stories in the Bible. Using a phrase like "knowing they will sin", Karla, is disingenuous. It sounds relatively benign (they'll steal cookies, they'll lie about whether they've done their homework, they'll lie about whether they've smoked weed etc).
But replace "knowing they will sin" with "knowing they will go crazy in a high school with a gun and murder 40 kids and teachers" puts a different light on it, doesn't it? THIS is the knowledge of the future that an omniscient god has.
If someone from 2036 appeared to you now and and showed you video footage of the massacre that the child you will conceive later tonight will perpetrate, and scenes of the victims' families crying and burying their dead kids, would you still go ahead and have unprotected sex tonight - rather than, say, waiting a few days or weeks? Would you happily get jiggy with it tonight and just shrug and say "Oh well, if I DO give birth in about nine months' time, our child will have free will to commit the massacre or not - let's hope for the best!" Because if you choose, despite knowing the horrific and dreadful eventual outcome, to go ahead and conceive, then arguably YOU - not your soon-to-be-conceived child - is the real monster here. Not that you're a monster - LOL. I'm sure you're lovely - but do you see my point?

Why did God create Satan, that was your question?
A: God did not create Satan, God created Lucifer, son of the morning as the angel that covers the very throne on God. (To be that close you would have to be made - perfect).
Looking perfect and feeling perfect with an all-knowing mind of wisdom can if not kept in check by total humility - turns into vanity, pride, proudness and of course arrogance.
Yes, God made Lucifer knowing later in his path he would turn against his creator. Just like he knew King David would sin before his very sinful act of sexual lust of a married woman, then murder. God sees the long game and everything he creates has a purpose to eventually bring goodness to the centre of everything.
In Revelation, this final curtain of sin dies forever - for everyone. Is there a limit to God’s power? No. It is said, that where there is up, there is down. But in the last days there will be only up. God has the power to change what we think as impossible and not science or equation. God is outside man’s laws of physics and their version of spirituality. This why Satan’s battle with heaven was futile. Satan was an angry child looking for attention and his punishment was permanent detention.
As for the lake of fire. You speak of as if you know how God will punish to detail at this event? - You talk about the length of time each person will burn for or burn until they are no more? No one know for sure? But my best guess is that if your name is not in the Book of Life, you will be cast into the lake of fire and will be tormented - day and night forever and ever and forever. There is no time but eternity. That is what scripture outlines. Do not add semantics to what is clearly written.
But of course, there is one way to test your theory. Do bad continually till death - and find out... ?
Satan create himself via sin and created the seal of his own death by his works. God allowed him to carry out his purpose until the very End of Days. Period-

I don't think to will be on fire for eternity because that would mean forever and ever and Jesus said that the only way to have eternity is to believe in him and God his so good and Merciful I don't think he would let the people whom he loves burn forever I think the amount of time you burn goes by the wages of your Sins. This is just my opinion out of love God bless you❤️

God is all knowing for sure but there is free will to an extent. Kinda like that movie The Adjustment Bureau, He has a right path for us all but we can deter or stray away from it. But then He tries to get us back on the right path. Ultimately its up to us to decide to stay on that "destiny" path though.

We don’t always know why the Lord does things or how he does things but the Lord is still good and real🤍Don’t feel that way, it can be stressful but remember his thoughts are higher than ours and ways, so certain thoughts we have of God can be wrong. I want to encourage you that God loves you and has great plans for you, keep believing in him, he’s there for you🤍and does care about you just like that song “Reckless love” - Cory Asbury explains✨ The world suffers because of freedom of choice, humans get to choose if they want to do bad or good, Us as his servants have to suffer to learn how to be humble, love others, see Gods love for us in hard times, helps us get closer to him, understand each other, help each other, and get our reward soon in Heaven👑because we chose to love God and fight daily to live for him just as Jesus died and suffered to separate us from sin and to show his love for us♥️

"If god took away our free will and forced us to love him, that would not be love"
If god created laws and if we choose not to obey he'd sent us to burn for eternity, that would not be love.
"God created angles to worship and serve him."
If your purpose in existence was to worship and serve your creator knowing if you disobey even by thought, you'd be sent to burn for agony, I'd rather be a robot. What good would knowing evil do me?
    "God did not create satan...."
    Who did?
If something gives itself a different name, it is suddenly not God's creation?
"God gives people freedom to make choices"
Could god have made people with freedom without the need to make choices? Why is freewill = knowledge of evil?
How's god not responsible for that evil? Did he not create everything that is in existence? Is he not all powerful and all knowing? Did he not know Lucifer will be come evil? If you knew that a single action of your's towards a young child would turn that child into a dictator that wipes off all of humanity, would you commit to your action knowingly? A majority of society would agree that would not be in humanity's best interest and considered evil. But, if God did it, wiping off the entire world because of his own mistake, its glorious.
"God created humans, not murders. The human decided to murder."
Numbers 31 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2 “Take vengeance on the Midianites for the children of Israel. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people.”
3 So Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm some of yourselves for war, and let them go against the Midianites to take vengeance for the Lord on Midian.
    You're right, he creates wars.
Raising children does not equal creating good and evil. Also, if the parents were all knowing, I doubt they would've made any mistakes as every action they took, they knew the absolute outcome.
"In the presence of evil can god's love brightly shine."
So it is okay for God to stand idly by as Lucifer, no Satan, killed Job's family. In the verse, Satan was not even intrigued by Job, God called out to satan for a bet... Would you be okay if God were to let satan kill off your entire family? Or what about basic friends that do not wholeheartedly agree with you? What about the flood? Was it evil to wipe off all of Humanity? In the case of Noah, his love was dim and narrow, pointing to a single family. Was the water he sent to earth refracting the brightness of his love? Christians calling Satan evil despite God killing off newborns, causing famine, flooding the world... getting pissed off at Cain's offering for no reason which drove Cain into jealousy. God's death toll is astonishing.
    Who caused Evil?
Did he not create evil? If you saw someone bleeding from a recent stabbing on the street but decided not to call 911 or did anything in your power to get them help leading towards their death. What does that make you?
Obey all of his instructions. Even slavery and stoning children to death for not obeying parents.
Satan was mentioned about 72-75 times in the bible depending on the versions. A majority of him was mentioned and called upon by Jesus or God. In the bible, Satan killed 10 people. Each of them allowed by god and before each one he spoke to god beforehand.
This answer brought up more questions.

God created lucifer because what happened to lucifer could have happened to any one of God's creations. If it didn't happen with Lucifer it would have happened with another angel because of how God created his creatures (Smart and with freewill). If God had made us like animals he wouldn't love us like how he does now. God knew that there would be a risk in creating intelligent beings with freewill (the creatures he would be able to love the most) and he took that risk because he loved us. This is how God created evil: By creating intelligent creatures with freewill, someone he created would have turned away from Him and evil would have come as a result. But should we say: well if it was going to happen then why did God make any intelligent creatures? No we shouldn't say that because that would be selfish on our part. We make children even if we know we're bringing a person into a world with suffering. So we are no different from God. We make children because of our love for them.

He wanted to create us like he did the angels, with the free will and self control to decide for ourselves who to worship, who to love with all our heart. He knew that this would be his promise to us, his plan for us, so he had to allow these angels to exist in order to not contradict his own word. As Jahna explained beautifully, God did not want us to be like the animals; confined to their primal instincts, but rather, he wanted us to be created in his likeness, an image of intelligence, free thinking and reasoning. but for that to happen, we all needed to be given free reign over our desicions, desicions that come with consequences, like weights on a scale. With every desicion, God carries a heavy weight that produces numbers (of infinite scale). For us to exist in his image, we too, needed to bear our own weights. Those weights are the desicions we make, our consciousness. So for this reason, the Lord had to create every angel that was intended to serve him. And they all carry their own weight.

And it also works with our offspring; you don't know who you are bringing into the world, your child could be a teacher or a murderer, and it would be outside of your control. But you knew beforehand that any child you bring into the world will suffer one way or another, and you will know that the possibility exists, a child with physical illness, mental illness, or both. But your love for that child is too great and you will bring him into this world regardless. Mothers pregnant with autistic or physically handicapped children already know that their child will be born this way, but they still choose to have them anyway, because they love their child. In the same way, God loves all of his creation, all of us, he loves us all before we were even conceived. A Mother's unconditional love, a Father's tender forgiveness, all of this was part of God's plan for our existence, and one thing could not exist without the other.

To all my fellow believers, while there's nothing wrong with asking questions,in fact I implore you to
because God has nothing to hide and has always encouraged me in my spirit to be inquisitive of the things that I may not understand. However, let's make sure we keep these things in context and don't let them become stumbling blocks to us in our walk with the Lord, for the unbelievers do such things but we who trust and know God,should be able to still trust him in those things that aren't fully revealed to us and that we may never fully understand. Satan wants us to get confused and concentrating on things that will only disrupt our walk with God and we must always remember that. Some people are honestly trying to look for the best possible answers to these questions but others are simply atheists who are looking to throw you off track and we need to have the proper discernment to be able to separate the two. Always research and do your best to answer what you can but also be vigilant that your'e not simply being used by an audience who's not interested in the truth but only in being a stumbling block. After all,if we knew all the reasons why God has done what he's done, then we would be God correct? Even Jesus doesn't know when God is sending him again so find comfort in even our blessed redeemer doesn't know every last detail of God's plan Amen?? So research and for most things you'll find a suitable answer but if you don't just trust in the Lord and his goodness, grace and mercy and lean not on your understanding or the understanding of people who don't even know God.God bless and keep you all in Jesus name!!!❤🙏💪

I think it more accurate to state that there is an abundance of ill will towards ALL religions by Atheists, it’s just that here in America, Christianity dominates and so is the recipient of that frustration. If a belief in astrology were causing people to go berserk-to deny medical care to their children or to murder unbelievers-many of us would speak and write about the dangerous belief of astrology. This would not be bigotry or intolerance on our part. It would be a plea for basic human sanity. And that is all that an Atheist’s criticism of religious tribalism and superstition ever is- or should be. There are right now, today, cults who steadfastly identify themselves as Christian and who handle venomous snakes, ingest poisons, and maim themselves in the name of God so as to show their fidelity and belief in their interpretation of his words, and they have every empirical right to declare that they have the one, true faith citing Acts 28:1-6 in the New Testament, and all other Christians have got it wrong. Further, there is great contradiction in the New Testament as to whether you are saved by deeds of good work, or saved by belief in Jesus. Which denomination do you belong to? There are thousands of them. Christians expect the world to fully agree with them, yet they can't even agree among themselves and so adopt separate, denominational-type names all too easily so as to assert their own particular dogma. Jesus said his followers should be “ONE”- the desire for certainty, the need to be right, and the tendency to miss the point have conspired to keep Christians from experiencing full unity, and instead have led to endless divisions within the Christian faith, and many of these separate organizations are the result of serious, irresolvable divisions. This fracturing in large part accounts for much of the verbal outpouring of derision and disbelief you see.

God wanted to create beings with free will (Calvinists exit here) such that they could pick among the choices that God allowed. God allowed Satan to be able to choose rebellion, and God allowed Adam to defy his will. In the same way, all who are presented the gospel have the option to choose to believe it or to continue in sin.

As Jesus said, a bad tree cannot bear a good fruit. What i mean is that Satan could not rebel against God unless there was something wrong with him. First, you need to become evil and only then to be able to do evil. So free will does not give an explanation on why did Satan decided to rebel in the first place. Bible gives that answer by saying Satan was so beautiful that he fell into pride and pride was the mover, the decider to rebel against God.
We dont know why God created such beauty, was it a necessity or maybe something else but either way, free will is not an answer to why he became evil i the first place.

After spending time praying for revelation God revealed to me everything. You need to sit down for this!
Our whole reality and existence is based on the principle of symmetry, balance and polar opposites.
“Life and the absence of it is death,
Love, the absence of it is evil,
    Light ...... Dark
    White ...... Black
    Right ........ Wrong
    Good ......... Bad
    Truth .......... Lies
    Humility........ Pride
    Morality.......... Immortality or Carnality”
I hope you get where this is going.
My conclusion is in the same way, might and divine God is, there is a polar opposite and Darkness which rivals God.
This darkness and void is an entity that exists just like God but only where God isn’t, in the absence of God this force works against God.
This darkness created sin as the ultimate weapon of perversion. This was used to corrupt lucifer and one third of all the angels in heaven.
Lucifer became its first son as Satan.
Like God’s weapon is salvation through Christ which is the antidote to sin.
In the beginning When God said let there be light, I think God drew the first blood. So it began.
Before lucifer knew he was going sin, God spoke to him like Father to son. God advised him to be cautious, and remember not to fall into temptation. God said he saw sin knocking on the door of heart just like he said to cain before he gave in to the darkness.
The battle for Good and Evil already started before angels where made, and this competition is the culmination of free will as a point that God want to proof to his polar opposite The darkness that his creation will always choose him in the end no matter what they go through.
So as sin corrupts God’s Perfection, Salvation reverses the corruption into perfection through Jesus!
My understanding is based on Genesis 1vs 1-4 and also the fall of lucifer and cain’s wickedness.
This war is bigger than us but through our love and redemption in Christ we can show we’re on God side forever.

@Asquzy this is the only attempt at a thoughtful answer I've seen thus far in reading through the comments. The thing however is polarities are not as you describe - "the absence of" something. Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree. Hot and cold are extreme opposites (polarities) of temperature. It's the same with all of your examples. So the logical conclusion is that God is both "good" and "evil." This does not for me negate that Jesus is the way, the door, etc. But I'm left with having to accept the realization that God is the scriptwriter for the whole drama.

Allen, I love your channel brother but I am just having a hard time understanding this. Particularly when we get to the "if someone choose to murder someone that isn't on God" thing. Just from the sound of this it makes like then why... pray? If we are just free beings I mean why pray for protection against murderers etc?

I heard this once and it really was the best way to explain it, Its not that evil was created, evil is the absence of God's goodness/character. Just like darkness is just the absence of light. satan didn't "become" evil he chose to reject God's standard - absence of obedience , and that made him "evil". He is classified as evil because his pride kept him in a continual state of disobedience to the standard of God. I hope that made sense.

Considering the old testament doesn't include a fallen angel named Lucifer becoming the devil and most of the quotes he claims refer to Lucifer here actually refer to individuals like the king of babylon and the king of tyre when you read them in their full context it makes me extremely sad that you think this is one of the best answered biblical questions you've ever heard. Even if I believed the crap in the bible (and I don't), he'd still be wrong about pretty much everything in this video. Hell, the old testament doesn't even support the idea we were created with free will. These things simply are not in there. All of this fallen angel crap comes more from Milton and Dante than anything in the old or new testaments.

@@adonaymebrahtu4280 he was created as an angel made to worship God, but then rebelled against God. Causing God to cast him out of Heaven. We also know that Satan can go back and forth from Earth to Heaven, because he went to Heaven to ask God to allow him to tempt Job. Which indicates that there are times when God allows Satan to bring trials and tribulation into our lives, because God has seen our faith and knows we truly love and trust Him and might be able to lead someone else to Him through going through something ourselves. But in Isaiah it does describe Lucifer being cast out of Heaven, and we know that Lucifer was an angel, and angels were created prior to the creation of Earth. Also, it wasn’t just Lucifer who was cast down, there is evidence that at least a third of Heaven’s angels rebelled and were cast out with Lucifer. The Bible doesn’t tell us exactly how or why, or when Lucifer was kicked out, but it tells us enough so we can know that Lucifer was in Heaven, and since he tempted Eve, we know he must have been cast out sometime prior to that.

Thanks for this clear explanation. It's disheartening sometimes when bad things in the world happen and almost everyone blames God, but when good things happen, nobody even mentions His name. How funny that the only most important thing in life, Jesus, almost means nothing in this world. Shows God is really a humble God who is patient and loving and doesn't mind being the butt of every hurtful comment, because He is well, He. I sometimes too feel sad why there's so much confusion in the world and in my life, but realized that instead to blame God, we are all doing these to ourselves. God created beings with free will, because control is not an act of freedom, and control is an act of selfishness. He could easily make beings to just worship the ground he walked on like minions right. But He didn't. I pray for everyone to find His love in their pain and struggles.
