- The Origin and Fall of the Devil
Where did the devil come from? To put it another way, how could a God of love create someone as horrible as the devil? This question is based on flawed reasoning since it assumes that we are in a position to critique God. Many who refuse to look into what the Bible says on the subject simply decide that God seriously erred in this area, so we should not put our trust in Him.
God did not create the devil as we know him
When God created the world, we are told that God examined it and declared that it was good (Genesis 1:31). This means that even the angelic world did not have evil angels or demons in it at that time. But by the time of Genesis chapter three, we find that Satan, in the form of a serpent, was tempting Eve to sin. Therefore, sometime between the events of Genesis chapter one and Genesis chapter three, there must have been a rebellion in the angelic world, with many angels turning against God and becoming evil. This rebellion was led by Satan himself.
Lucifer’s fall from Heaven
The Bible gives us this information about the devil before his fall
Named Lucifer, which means “star of the morning”
Held a high-ranking position in the angelic host
Had exquisite beauty and great wisdom
Given a position of great power and influence
Called “the guardian cherub”
“You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God…You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, O guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings” (Ezekiel 28:12-17 NIV).
Cherubim are depicted in Scripture as powerful and majestic angelic creatures who surround God’s throne. And Lucifer had once been a guardian cherub. Ironically, after Adam and Eve succumbed to the devil’s temptations, disobeyed God, and were expelled from Eden, God sent cherubim to guard Eden (Genesis 3:24).
Since Lucifer had been the model of perfection, what sort of sin led to his fall? His heart became proud because of his incredible beauty. Lucifer allowed his perfection to be the cause of his corruption.
God’s judgment on Lucifer
Lucifer was not satisfied with worshipping God; instead, he wanted to be worshipped. Once a beautiful, powerful angel of God, he lost his former, exalted position in Heaven.
“How you are fallen from Heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into Heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit” (Isaiah 14:12-15).
Lucifer (“star of the morning”) became Satan (“accuser”) when he fell to the earth. Jesus, speaking of this event, said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven” (Luke 10:18).
As Christians, we have an even greater asset: Jesus Christ, who conquered Satan at the cross of Calvary, is also on our side!

I try to interject stories from the Bible into my everyday conversations with my 3 adult children who vary from agnostic, and one new believer and one believer who are still not entirely on board. I do the same with neighbors. I believe that we must live our faith also. Our family members are the people God has especially given us to love and are the most difficult to share our faith with. Since they know us before and after becoming a Christian and they know our flaws, they are the most difficult to share with, but we must help them get to heaven:)
I tried to share a little bit of Jesus every day. Whether it's with friends on the phone who don't believe or at the grocery store. Sometimes it's just sharing something new I've learned with The people I talk with everyday. God-bless you All! I learn something new from you everyday.
It is a mind twister. Since the Lord knew how things would turn out, even upon creating satan, it does seem it was all part of his grand plan.
@@texaslyoness8537 God I think, wants at least humans and angels to have free will, to be able to choose love and life over hate and death. So even knowing what satan would do once he conceived satan in his mind he loved him and went ahead and created him. Without freewill there is no true love so His purpose was to create a loving community of angels and humans so had to make all with freewill.IDK, it is mind boggling:)
But god knew satan would rebel and billions of people would burn in hell with the devil before he created him. Anyone care to explain?
Still dos not answer the question . Why did he create him if he new he would rebel. Why would he give him so much power. Why would he simply not make him vanish
Good question. My thought is so we will have two choices, good or evil. God or satan as our love.
So why was he allowed to turn on God if he was made to be jealous

God knows past present and future and he knew Satan would rebel against him yet he created him. Yet everything God allows satan to do is for his ultimate glory. God is love. The glory of spending eternity in heaven is greater than the greatest pleasure or the greatest pain we can experience on earth. Gods wisdom is beyond human understanding

God didn’t create Satin. God allow free will, thus Satin evolved from high arc angle to what the Devil is to this date. We all have free will, and with free will, there are responsibilities. Satin made a choice to be the Devil. (My opinion)

I committed because I believe that with all the bad that’s in the world I wanted to share with everyone that we can make a choice, and I hope people make a choice to be good and to be wise because Satin is the master of manipulation. He fore knew what is to happen and allowed it to happen. How can it be? Nobody can change what God destined your life to be. No matter how hard one try. But why? God destined it and so it shall come to pass??? The good the bad and the ugly?
Before the foundation of the universe,God wrote our life in the palm of his hand.
Wouldn’t God know that his angel, that he created, would turn to evil? God operates outside of space and time so he sees the beginning and end. So God creates an angel that will embark on evil and the first evil that Satan is responsible for is destroying Gods creation by tempting Eve which resulted in pain, sickness, famine, death etc… I believe in a creator but Im not sure what that creators intentions are and what responsibilities we have to that creator. Maybe life is a temporary state for those who live in eternity to experience imperfection and thus appreciate eternity for what it is.

There's only 2 possibilities, God was referring to the point where he was actually created or the point where pride was formed in him which changed him.into a different being, one opposed to God

In our ignorance we have been taught that God created the world. But when we look about… death and destruction… starvation and poverty… and even natural disasters… we look and say: "well, how is God loving, if this is the destruction, the death and the separation that we all face?" Our loved ones dying, our children passing away before their time - surely God is an insane God if he created this?!
And this is what Jesus wanted us to understand - is that the world is not created by God, all-powerful, all-loving, for if it was, it would not look this way. Things would not depend on other things to die for them to survive. Everything would not be separated from us, our loved ones, our children.
All sorts of things are going on in our lives that demonstrate a lack of Love, and if everything was created by God... who is all-loving... then we would not experience this, and that is what our clue is that this is not the real world - this is NOT God's world.
This is the playground of the Ego (which religionists now call this the devil or Satan). This is where all of our idols… our lusts… our wants and needs… and fears… play out in front of us so that we can see them.
And this is why it is so important for us to begin to comprehend the magnitude of the "projection" that is happening. It is not just us laying our feelings on someone else, this is a level of projection that many modern Beings are beginning to understand - that we are responsible for our own feelings.
But the whole thing is a projection, the whole thing is a giant projection from the collective consciousness of all of us. Yes, some of us share the same dreams… the same nightmares… but we are the ones that is in charge of OUR projector… and OUR experience… and OUR ownership of that which is called life for this planet Earth here.

Very profound, i have come to these realizations as well under the influence of heavy psychedelics which caused me to turn to christ. I am 4 years clean and a born again christian. I do not believe that the fallen angels are the demons. I believe they are the spirits of the dead offspring of the fallen angels. When they died their spirits have nowhere to go so they search for a person to invite them in. Then by invitation they inhabit the person who has invited them in and controls them.
There is no Biblical evidence for that assertion, angels were not created by God with the ability to procreate with mankind,.

God created satan, it’s what omnipotent omnipresent all that means - god knew his angels would fall - thus creating an angel he knew would only serve to torture gods “favorite creations” since angels HAD NO FREE WILL. They were forced to obey god, so, it seems the devil is far stronger since he defied god, outwitted god, enslaved his people, and did it all whist still gods favorite. Funny.

Write them down as you would see the worst being in existence of possessing.
Then look at yourself.
These are your worst traits too.
God didn’t create evil. I’m sure satan started out as a bright star in truth and righteousness. God created him to be a great person. He chose to fall and to take down as many as would follow him.
Isaiah CH45 V7 says He does.
