It's official, after years of watching this channel, i'm going to have to unsubscribe. It was a good run, I really enjoyed the content.
Used to watch some of your content... blocking everything behind a paywall for me to watch maybe 2 hours a month .. no thanks ... its been real ..
same deal with me and i don't watch engine masters every month ( i have a life outside of the internet and i end up binge watching it randomly AKA im waiting on someone else in my car or on a long plane flight and im bored ect. or im looking for a quick ish answer for buying/seting up parts for up my personal engine/stuff ) or roadkill so for me it's a big waste of money and time setting up there special web services @ 10+usd ;) besides the fact that i noticed some of there chevy stuff and supposedly they were doing this as a paying hobby on the side of there " day job " ( because the way i understood hot-rod mag would have flipped a lid if you're posting to you-tube / making $$ by your self because of " confiliting of interests " aka contacts by working for them @ time of filming it and posting ) ( cough ) is probably paid for its self more than once( 2+ times or more or sponsors ) by being in the mag / web videos doing the same deal or similar things in the last 20+ years
I maintain that it is a huge mistake to only put new videos on another website. I am only able to use my phone to watch videos but the app is very unfriendly to use and I can’t actually watch on the motor trend website. Big misstep here, but I hope(though don’t actually think or expect for) a big change for the future.

Dual Plane for the Street. - Good low end torque.
Single Plane for the Strip. - Kills low end torque but yields a bit more horsepower.

A to the Zaval. No they'll say the single plane is better because they start all of their dyno runs at full throttle at 3000 RPM. Useless test for a dual plane. Lock the throttle at 40% and start the pulls at 1500 RPM. That would be a usefull comparison.

but. when your running a stroker like a 408w why would you stick a dual plain manifold on a 400 plus cu in motor? street or strip? if you have good heads like i have the AFR205 heads makes sense to use a good single plain? why choke it ? i had a rpm air gap on my 402w street 69 mach1. took it off. had my vic jr fully ported. nite and day differance. feed it. a 351w yes use the air gap, 400 plus cubes a single plain. i have more torque then i can use..

I feel like they only post these short teasers to troll CZcams viewers in an attempt to get more people to go spend money on subscribing to MTOD. It feels a bit slimy to me. You're just using CZcams to post your commercials for motortrend on demand.
PNWHomesteader I watched it for free. They have alot of free content on thier app. The way I look at it is; They were getting paid bread crumbs for thier content when they had the resources to create thier own platform. As a business point of view it makes perfect sense.

So quick tuning quesiton, Im learning alot from your show and im narrowing down my trouble shooting on my 1971 ford 351 cleveland and got a new top end intake, exluding heads. Im looking into tuning the edelbrock and seeing the different jet and metering rod combos i can do but the grid that shows Cruising/Power Mode is confusing. Can you help me elaborate at all? Im led to believe my motor is running rich and im focusing on easy to access adjustments to see if it helps at all. (quick open throttle causing backfire thru carb) no vacuum leaks and new timing chain

On a 350 with a high rise intake would a 750 double pumper from Edelbrock be a good choice? I only paid $200 new out of the box and i will tune it but i wanted to know if it seems like a good choice

Great episode, except for one thing. They never said what happened to the HP and torque after swapping the manifold. I was curious to see that.
you should do a horsepower per dollar of a ford vs chevy small block, as in how much say 450 hp would cost for each manufacturer

You guys need to do an episode where you incorporate all your power adding findings into one engine to see what you can squeeze out of it. Intakes, headers, oil capacity, air filters, carbs, roller valve train all of what we learned through you, in one engine. Make it happen.

Love the show series. Parts vs. parts and engines vs. engines. I would like to see your opinion and a dyno shootout of an electric motor vs. a gas engine of similar results in the quarter mile. Also the weight of the batteries vs. the weight of the fuel needed to do the job. Would the fastest car in the world be a turbo charged gas engine with an electric assist or does a diesel accomplish that combination?

Motor Trend is no longer uploading full episodes of their primary shows to CZcams. However, if you're in the US, you can still watch all of their former CZcams shows for free on the Motor Trend website, or mobile app.
How? I go to motortrend and I can watch for 14 days free then they start billing. What am I missing?
I can watch all the free shows that were on CZcams without logging in on Motortrend on demand here in Sweden. You just have to put up with the commercials and disabled addblockers.

Motor trend used to be my favorite channel. All series were great while they lasted here on CZcams, things changed and now if u want to enjoy it have to pay motor tend on demand.

Guyes, an engine that size, with a good performance roller cam and heads that are that good, need way bigger carb than 750 on a Dual plane intake without milled down divider wall or carb spacer. :) You know this, you have milled down divider walls before. ;)

So you couldn't stretch the video 1 more minute to show the single plane results? Fords are much more expensive to build than Chevys. How much more did it cost for the 351 to beat the 350?
Larry Kittell my experience tells me it’s negligible. Heads, cam, pistons no real difference. Certainly not enough of a difference to use a Chevy in Ford!
