Since we finally got the beast wars season 1 crew,I hope for the transmetal designs to get new figures,or a characters from the original toyline or the idw 2006/2021 comics,like polar claw(he sadly got cancelled from kingdom),and nyx,skold and scourge,bonecrusher,spittor and B'boom etc....,to be honest,I think we should get a new roadbuster to recreate that scene from idw were trantulas pops out from roadbuster's head,what a terffying violent scene !

Honestly, Tarantulas being a double agent for Ravage was quite the plot twist. I wasn't expecting that at all.
tarantulas is one of the figures ive been most anticipating from legacy because i just really needed more predacons, plus he’s really good. scorponok didnt arrive locally (and wasn’t good) and terrorsaur was gone before i had a chance. tarantulas though just shipped from gamestop, excited to get this little freak in hand.

I accepted kibble on transformers toys as a kid mainly cause I knew this is real life not some tv magic so there’s gonna be limitations.
a tiny detail about this figure that I absolutely love is that his little knee spikes almost resemble the spiders spinnerets, they're just a little too far apart to be totally accurate tho
This figure is great but I actually don't want him simply because I vastly prefer his transmetal form. Hoping we can get a figure for that sometime.

RE: the Transmetals, I think for me personally, I don't *need* chrome parts. I find that whenever people suggest TMs, people often say "oh chrome is dangerous" but that's... not what I liked about those toys? I just want a triple-changing robotic spider, as long as they use a glossy paint to simulate the chrome parts, I don't really mind
Funnily enough, I'm deathly arachnophobic, but Blackarachina and Tarantulas are some of my favorite Beast Wars characters and I own Kingdom Blackarachina. So this Bois at the top of my list, but there's gonna be a hazing period since he looks more like a spider than Blackarachina did
I don't want the fox kids that go on this mold since it's not the transmetal, but I would 100% love the unproduced Toy Fair colors that were shown in some packaging art

That looks great. I would say most of the Beast Wars figures have been done well. Not sure about that new dragon Megatron. It looks good for the most part but the dragon chest hanging off his back really sucks. I wish it was detachable. And Rattrap this time is too small. Lucky I still have the Generations one. I hope they do good versions of the other characters from Seasons 2 and 3.

Tarantulas is so good. Though 1 arm on mine has come off a couple of times. Well worth the purchase.
hot tip add some shadow behind the text in ur thumbnails so it doesnt look so tacked on even if its just a little it helps blend it in

The only thing preventing Hasbro/Takara from doing the Transmetals is that they aren't as iconic as the season 1 forms. There's no reason they can't do them with normal paint like in the Armada toyline, they probably just don't want to take a chance with them.
I hope we see a transmetal version of him in the future, it doesn't need to have vac-metal to be cool.
(Even though that was one if the coolest things about transmetals.)

here are my thoughts, maybe this altmode of a wolf spider was veeeery intentional. you see, what is known as a tarantula is not a tarantula. it is an inacurate term for bird eaters. the Lycosa Tarantula is a large species of wolf spider from europe and when the europeans met those bird eaters in south america and other territories they thought it resembled the large tarantula, paving the way to name them tarantulas too. sooooooo maybe because of this hasbro when with an ACTUAL tarantula mode.

Tarantulas could be just a male tarantula, because males are normal less plump and have longer fangs, obviously the fangs pointing down cement the alt mode as a Tarantula
well i mean, the hands sticking out the front are simulating the pedipalps and not the fangs, he also has fangs on the spider head
the rule about sexing with pedipalp size applies to most spider species, so it doesn’t help with an ID regardless
Easy solution to all this: Look at his eyes. That's definitely a Lycosid eye grouping. Happily, there's a southern European wolf spider called Lycosa tarantula -- the ORIGINAL tarantula, named before the Theraphosids got that moniker.
