Tarantulas is one of my favorite character from Beast Wars and doing a Halloween review on him feels appropriate!!!

This is genuinely my favourite design in all of Beast Wars. I absolutely love the final shot of the Season 2 intro where it zooms in on him, it just looks so deliciously menacing. I really hope we get a Legacy version. I want legacy versions of all the TM designs, but this one specifically

Don’t for a second think your efforts go unnoticed. The attention to detail of distorting your usual music background track for Halloween added a lil bit to the atmosphere for Halloween and I appreciate it

It says a lot about the design that both IDW 2005 and Earthspark based their versions of Tarantulas off of.
Indeed, though the IDW is more a Mixture of this and the normal one.

Happy Halloween to you as well, and I think the answer to that is no. The eyes in his forehead might be real, and the one's in his chest are real in bug mode, but those in his shoulders I don't think are. Otherwise they'd be getting ground into the Dirt every time he drives anywhere.

Transart Tarantulas is so cool. I really wish they would have put this kind of love into their Blackarachnia instead of the kind of love they *did* put into her.

Ah what a glorious review. A soothing voice delicious to the ears like the blood curdling cries of a warthog hunted down by a predator. Tarantulas is perfect for this holiday, and a review of his transmetal modes make this day even more delightful. A Hitchcock style review of this sadistic serial killer is rather perfect. Let his crimes and his terror haunt our nightmares tonight. Muahahahahahaha!!!!!

Man I remember watching Beast Wars as a kid and the 1st Beast Wars figure I got was TransMetal Tarantulas since his design caught my eye those were good times, Happy Halloween!

I honestly prefer the look of the old one's robot mode. The green is so much more striking with the deeper blues and blacks and it's just a delight to look at.
I do see that. I think it also comes across a little different on camera though. The contrast on him is a little different on your eyes.
Insecticon & Transmetal Tarantulas were the only BW designs I liked enough as a kid to draw. The former on oversize paper in calligraphy marker & watercolor. The latter in one of my high school sketchbooks in marker. Anddd I just aged myself.

I was dying to see the Transarts MP style TM Trarantulas for a while. Great comparison.
Makes me want to dig out my TM Tarantulas from storage. ALSO i dont know how you feel about modifying your figures, but I put a little bit of yellow paint between the eyes of my TM Tarantulas for the visor look and it was really easy even for someone as imprecise as me. Made the figure look so much better with that little touch-up.
I mean painting the space between the eyes makes sense to me.
I actually as a Child used a Black sharpie to turn my Rhinox 100% black.
What do you think of the reveal of tarantuls and the high predacus concil habits different origins. I think it’s interesting but I would have set up some stuff earlier and given us some idea one where he might have came from
Personally I'm not a huge fan. It had potential, but they didn't explore it AT ALL, so it just feels extremely incomplete, and unnecessary.
BRO that orange and green color scheme should be your new main thing. it looks absolutely incredible man.

‘I got the original at a convention for 50 cad new which was a bit expensive but it was a new complete version no flaking or missing legs then Transart announced their version and it was an immediate preorder.
This is definitely a good Halloween figure review with a fitting arachnophobia character,
my next costume ideas are soundwave (more detailed g1) tarantulas (transmetal) scourge (ROTB) and or nezerac (Destiny 2) kinda feel like doing something more detailed or bulky this time around

Regardless of whether or not the designs are actually better or not, I will always prefer the chromed techno organic look of the Transmetal designs. Which is why Animated and ROTB designs for beastformers are some of the coolest ones imo. (Even if I wish the ROTB ones had more color)
I don't think of the RotB designs as Techno Organic at all.

Ah, the spookiest psychopath in Transformers. Helps that Tarantulas' transmetal 1 design was one of the few that didn't look awful. I still busted out laughing at his bike spider mode. Honestly, you could do a Halloween review of any transmetal toy and it'd still give me shudders. That first Optimus transmetal...woof it scares me.
I liked the Transmetals for the most part... Then again. I love Shiny.
I absolutely love Transmetal Tarantulas. One of my favorite designs in the entire show. His shoulder machine guns are amazing. I haven't been buying many transformers lately since I'm running out of space but Transmetal Tarantulas is a character that is needed for the collection.

I concur on the animators using black magic to make Beast Wars. I've been watching Energon the last few months and it looks like garbage compared to Beast Wars. The animators on Beast Wars knew where to put the budget.

He one of the few beast wars characters that i consider this form is more as definitive than his base form
Why's that? I feel like Gross Spider makes more sense than cool one.
We need a Legacy version of this character (or the Earthspark one), its such a cool design

While I’m still a bit disappointed that Transart’s Dinobot II got pushed back and this figure took its spot, if it means that figure turns out the best it can be, then it’ll be worth the wait. Plus, this figure still looks awesome. Haven’t ordered it yet, but it’s next up on my priority list alongside Transart’s Transmetal II Cheetor.

You see your mistake was thinking Grimlock means anything. Unlike Slag, Sludge, Swoop, and Snarl, the guy with the name that doesn't start with an S, isn't a word.
At best Grimlock is a Troll from some Scandinavian myth. But yeah they just took the words Grim and Lock and stuck them together for him.

Having bought some of the Walmart BW rereleases on clearance. I can safely say BW is the best TF toyline. And this just added a new one get for the collection
I don't know that I'd say the best as of now, but for the longest time... Yeah. They did REAL work with those things, and it took like 18 years before we started getting better.

It's a great First.
I remember hearing rumors back when the BW reissues started that we'd see transmetal rereleases. And...still waiting. Granted if we got new voyagers and deluxes too, I think it could be done well. Like how Silverbolts original toy was about perfect, the Legacy seems more in scale and looks real fun. We'll have to wait and see though. Also, why does Transmetal Megatron specifically go for so much more than Primal Tarantulas and Cheetor? That's..just confusing to me. Nonetheless a proper Halloweeny review.
I mean we got TM2 Megatron. But let's hope they do more soon.

What's really weird, is the shoulder pads are missile launchers, but were only used maybe twice during the show.

It's a solid design for him, but I never got to the point it was in the show, I just couldn't take the really unfunny humor of it, and stopped watching around Episode 15.
